Chapter 1695 Wonderful Rabbit Zun

Chapter 1695 Wonderful Rabbit Zun
The shape and decoration of this painted pottery flower lamp are perfectly combined, which can be described as ingenious.

In the Han Dynasty, the shapes of lamps and lanterns mostly adopted the image of auspicious birds and auspicious animals.

No matter in terms of its exquisite and extraordinary shape, or its luxurious and compelling momentum, this lamp must have been a utensil enjoyed by the noble class of the Han Dynasty.

At the same time, it is also a typical embodiment of the Taoist thought of ascending to immortality in the Han Dynasty.

The ancients in the Han Dynasty believed in the interaction between heaven and man, and dreamed that man and god would be happy together and live forever.

Put such a lamp in the tomb, hoping to ascend to heaven and become a fairy after death.

It is said that when this lamp is turned on, it can illuminate the whole room with almost no shadows, so people praise it as an ancient "shadowless lamp".

The painted flower lamp is made of pottery, and its main body is composed of three parts: lamp base, lamp post and lamp panel.

The lower part of the lamp base is decorated with mountains surrounded by peaks, surrounding the base, full of animals with different postures.

Tigers, monkeys, deer, rabbits and other animals are either galloping and jumping, or sitting, lying and crouching, with different postures and their own wonders.

However, all creatures gather in this world, but it is so harmonious and peaceful.

Such techniques are definitely master-level craftsmanship, and Chen Wenzhe naturally wants to reproduce them.

Of course, making ceramics is simple, and he is very proficient in doing it. Even if this painted pottery flower lantern is very complicated to make, he should be able to make it very quickly.

While looking at the bronze shadowless lamp, Chen Wenzhe was thinking about how to design a new lamp.

There is still a market for this kind of thing. After all, modern people are extremely bored and still pursue romance.

Wouldn't it be exciting to have a candlelight dinner with such a shadowless lamp?

It's a pity that Chen Wenzhe is a bachelor, and Cao Qingchun and the others are also hardcore old bachelors.

"You have gained a lot this time. What are the last two?"

Cao Qingchun proudly said: "The rabbit, to be precise, it should be the rabbit!"

Chen Wenzhe was speechless, as long as one could be honored, it was not easy, let alone a rabbit statue, this thing should be very rare.

Among the bronze animals in my country, the rabbit statue is definitely a rare one.

According to unearthed records and bronze catalogs from all over the country, only three rabbit statues were unearthed from the tomb of Zhaohou in the north of Qucun, Qucun, Quwo County, Xishan Province at the earliest.

From 1982 to 1992, the Qucun ruins were destroyed, almost all the important tombs were robbed, and the burial objects were looted.

In order to make up for the loss, the Chinese archaeological team carried out rescue excavations, among which there are three bronze rabbit statues.

These three bronze rabbit statues are very cute, with different shapes but similarities.

These are rabbit-shaped cultural relics more than 3000 years ago, and their appearance also allows us modern people to have a close contact with the ancient rabbit culture.

With the appearance of these three rabbit statues, some rabbit statues were unearthed later, and even rabbit statues made of jade.

"You would never have imagined that I found several rabbit statues this time!"

Just when Chen Wenzhe lost his mind, Cao Qingchun said proudly again.

Chen Wenzhe was even more speechless, isn't it just two?
You said it all, there are two left, are they both Rabbit Zun?This luck!
Sure enough, Cao Qingchun took out two rabbit statues, one made of bronze and one made of jade.

Obviously, Cao Qingchun was more interested in the jade rabbit statue.

Looking at the jade rabbit stuffed into the hand, it should be called jade rabbit.

This is a Shang Dynasty "Jade Rabbit" carved from green and white jade, with a diameter of 0.9 cm and a height of 2.1 cm, about the size of a red date pit.

Its ears are hollowed out, the round eyes are slightly convex, the bottom is concave inward, and it is carved in three-dimensional column.

Such a jade rabbit, no matter how you look at it, is extremely precious.

This kind of "jade rabbit" should have been a kind of decoration in ancient times, and it may also be a kind of ritual vessel.

The bronze rabbit statue must be a heavy sacrificial weapon, and they have common characteristics, such as a bright body and a prostrate posture.

Looking at the inside of the rabbit statues, these rabbit statues are more or less covered with leaves from more than 3000 years ago. Chen Wenzhe speculates that they are wine vessels.

"How is it? I'm a little uneasy to find two rabbit statues at once. Is it too much?"

Only then did Cao Qingchun behave a little more normally.

Since it has been said that Rabbit Zun is relatively rare, but he bought two at a time, is this abnormal?

No matter who Cao Qingchun invited to hold his eyes, he was very disturbed.

This point is incomparable to Chen Wenzhe, because he can cheat, so even if he doesn't need to examine carefully, he still knows that these two items are genuine.

"Not to mention anything else, it's just that many were unearthed from the tomb of the Marquis of Jin in the Western Zhou Dynasty. It seems to be seven?"

Chen Wenzhe's memory is a little fuzzy as to whether or not there are 7 Jinhou Rabbit Zuns.

It's just that, after a little concentration, he remembered that there were indeed seven, and they were rare bronze rabbits in the country, each of which had a full sense of ritual.

For example, in the Jin State Museum in Xishan Province, there are 4 rabbit statues on display, two big and two small, and two shapes.

A big rabbit statue prostrates on a short rectangular base, with a trumpet-shaped mouth on its back.

Another big rabbit statue has a rectangular opening on its back and a cover on the mouth. Its legs are curled up, its ears are closed back together, and it seems to be about to jump.

The remaining 2 little rabbit statues have the same shape as it.

They were unearthed from the same tomb, which looks like a family of four.

Bronze statues are utensils for holding fine wine. These four naive rabbit statues were unearthed in the early 4s in the tomb of Jin Muhou at the Tianma site in Qucun, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and have a history of nearly 20 years.

This tomb is well preserved and has not been stolen, which truly reproduces the unearthed relics.

Jin Muhou's father, Jin Xianhou, was not so lucky.

According to archaeological sources, his tomb was stolen in 1992.

Fortunately, even though it was stolen, 3 bronze rabbit statues survived.

One rabbit statue has a trumpet-shaped mouth on its back, and the other two rabbit statues have the same shape and different sizes. They both have a rectangular mouth on the rabbit's back and a cover on the mouth.

This "family of three" is now collected in Xishan Museum.

Just because there are very few bronze rabbit statues unearthed in archeology in our country, even if there are 7 rabbit statues, they are very precious.

Don't say anything else, just talk about artistic achievements.

In terms of artistic image design, these seven rabbit statues not only present the characteristics of simplicity, realism and practicality, but also have the elegant and noble aristocratic temperament of Western Zhou ritual vessels.

There are three concentric circles on both sides of their abdomen, from the inside to the outside, there are fire patterns, oblique thunder patterns with four eyes alternated with hooked thunder patterns.

So why do Jin Xianhou and Jin Muhou father and son prefer Rabbit Zun?

This is a question that has no answer at present, and it may be related to the good meaning of rabbits and so on.

Jin Xianhou Su was the seventh king of the state of Jin. He was rewarded for fighting with the king of Zhou. To commemorate this event, he cast a set of 16 copper chime bells.

After the death of Jin Xianhou, not only this set of chime bells, but also a large number of bronze, gold and jade wares were buried with him.

As well as the largest chariot and horse pit with the largest number of accompanying vehicles in the Western Zhou Dynasty discovered in our country so far, and the three bronze rabbit statues.
