Chapter 1699

Do not persuade others to be kind without suffering others!
No matter what the stall owner's reasons were, it was none of Chen Wenzhe's business that made him unwilling to donate these bronze wares.

Just when Chen Wenzhe was going to look at things further and negotiate the price, the boss didn't give way.

"I came here for Boss Chen's reputation. The main reason is that our family has been harassed enough in recent years, and we don't want to keep these treasures anymore, so we want to sell them."

Seeing the helpless look of the boss, Chen Wenzhe was taken aback, a batch? Is this a big tree attracting wind?
"Boss Chen has heard of Qishan Hejia Village, right? Now that you know this color palette, you should know this place. Hundreds of years ago, many people in our village died because of an ancient tomb. A dozen members of our family died because of this." Baby, we've lost too many lives."

"Don't worry, as long as it's real, just tell me how much money you want!" Chen Wenzhe said bluntly.

The country must know about such a famous batch of treasures. As long as they are on record, there will be no problem for him to buy them.

Chen Wenzhe knew about Qishan Hejia Village, and also knew that there were a group of ancient tombs there.

But he really didn't know that the ancient tomb was discovered there a hundred years ago.

Before the country was established a hundred years ago, it must have been an era of war.

They were able to preserve the bronzes of an ancient tomb, which is of great merit in itself, so it is no wonder that the country did not forcefully confiscate these treasures.

"Damn it, is this the old chicken gui?"

Although he knew that this was a batch of treasures, Chen Wenzhe was still shocked after seeing the bronze gui clearly.

Chen Wenzhe had thought of it before, a tomb of a nobleman from the Western Zhou Dynasty was excavated in Hejia Village, Qishan.

Among them, the unearthed ancient chicken gui and other utensils, the owner of which is the old chicken.

A total of 21 bronze wares were unearthed from this tomb, including 6 round tripods, 2 guis, 2 jues, and [-] square tripod, jia, zun, ox-shaped statue, goblet, you, and bucket.

This tomb is one of the tombs with the most bronze containers unearthed at the Zhouyuan site since 1949.

The east and west are tombs in the early and middle Western Zhou Dynasty, and their burial objects are very distinctive and of great research significance.

After the publication of this batch of bronzes with inscriptions and related materials, it has attracted great attention from the academic circles.

Among them, the one that attracted the most attention and interest from the academic circles is the inscription on the ancient chicken gui.

Scholars have discussed and analyzed the interpretation and punctuation of the inscription from different angles, and have done a lot of research on the era and historical facts involved in this bronze inscription.

Its achievements are certainly affirmative, but there are still some conflicting and inconsistent views that need further discussion.

In particular, Xiji was conferred the title of Xi Clan, which was mentioned in ancient documents, a special phenomenon that the Western Zhou Dynasty officials were entrusted with land and clan.

This point seems to have not been paid attention to by modern people.

Although there have been many studies on the Xiji bronze wares unearthed from this tomb, the following three issues still need further research.

First, the era of the tombs of Xiji and its major bronze vessels such as the Gui of Xiji;
Second, how to judge the relationship between Marquis Han and Nai Nian involved in the inscriptions on Gui Gui in the past.

What roles did Wang Si and Xiji play in the events recorded in the inscription?
Third, when and where the chicken clan was enfeoffed in the past.

Regarding the dating of the old chicken gui, there are also some problems.

Among them, the third problem has not been touched by anyone in academia.

There have been many discussions on the first two issues in academic circles, but due to the divergent opinions, some discussion and analysis are still needed.

The bronze ware such as the Xiji Gui and its tomb age, regarding the dating of the Xiji Gui, the excavation report believes that the tomb should be in the early and middle Western Zhou Dynasty.

Obviously, the ancient chicken gui that Chen Wenzhe sees now is not an ordinary thing.

However, he is also different from the old chicken gui unearthed by the country before.

If it is someone else, it must be considered as a piece of textile, because it is impossible for two pieces of Xiji Gui to appear the same.

But, who made Chen Wenzhe have a super memory?

He just made a simple distinction, and he could see that most of the inscriptions on the old chicken gui in front of him were different from the one unearthed by the previous country.

If there are similarities, it is the inscriptions in ancient characters on them.

"Boss Chen can combine these photos for identification."

At this moment, the boss gave Chen Wenzhe another photo album.

When I opened it, I found that the bronze wares inside were not only Xiji Gui, but also Xiji You.

Looking at the photos one by one, there are quite a lot of things in them. If you are not a professional, you really can't recognize them.

In addition to Xiji Gui and Xiji You, there are also Xiji You and Jing Youyi.

There are still a lot of you, but the decorations are different, and the special one is the book you.

It is relatively rare, but there are also Yuzhengwei Gui and Duan Gui that have been recorded in history.

Through these types of utensils, it should be possible to date these bronze utensils, right?

Previously, the old chicken youn unearthed from M11 of the Western Zhou Dynasty cemetery in Hejia Village, Qishan, was shaped like a you, and it was made of a book, so that archaeologists can judge that the old chicken you should be a Zhaowang time vessel.

In the past, the chicken gui was similar to the Yuzhengwei gui and Duan gui, and it should also be the time vessel of King Zhao.

This leads to the conclusion that some people think that Wang Si is the queen of Cheng, and it is impossible for Wang Si to be active during the period of King Zhao, so this device is designated as the device of King Kang.

"Xishan Jinwen Collection" (referred to as "Shaanji") breaks the old chicken and other vessels in the early middle period, that is, the period of King Mu and King Gong.

From the ornamentation of bronze vessels such as the Xiji Gui from the Xiji Tomb, the necks and ring feet of the two Xiji Gui are decorated with thin moiré bands and separated by convex ribs, which is a late decorative feature of the early Western Zhou Dynasty;
However, the ancient chicken you are very similar to the utensils of the ji you and the jing youyi, so they should be the utensils of the early and late stage of the Western Zhou Dynasty.

In addition, in the old Jigui, Wang Si also saw Shuzun and Shufang Yi, and the inscriptions on the two utensils were the same.

All of their articles are "Shu Yi is better than Wang Si, Yong Zha Bao respects Yi" ("Yin Zhou Bronze Inscription Collection" hereinafter referred to as "Integration").

Scholars such as Wang Shimin concluded that these two utensils belonged to the period of King Zhou Zhao, so the old chicken gui should also date to the period of King Zhao Zhao of Zhou.

From this point of view, if the chicken gui in the past was designated as King Kang, it would be earlier;
When it is set at the time of King Gong, the time is later, and it should be more appropriate to be between Zhaomu in the late early Western Zhou Dynasty and the early middle Western Zhou Dynasty.

So what is the historical event described in the inscription on the ancient chicken gui?Is it closely related to the identities of the characters and their interrelationships?

Four characters appear in the Xiji Guiming: Wang Si, Xiji, Naiji, and Hanhou.

The academic circles have different interpretations of the identities of these four characters. Which generation of Zhou Wang is Wang Si?What is the relationship between Nai Yang and Han Hou?The academic world has different views.

The inscription of the old chicken gui said: Wang Sihu (call) used to be a chicken in Han, Han Houbin used shells and horses, dared to praise Wang Xiu, and used Zha (for) (respect) Yi.

Obviously, with such a simple record, it is more difficult for people to understand what happened that year and restore the true history.

However, combined with the inscription on the old chicken gui in front of Chen Wenzhe, things seem to become simpler.
