Chapter 286 Fawang Temple

Chapter 280 Seven Fawang Temple
"In the Songhu Anti-Japanese War, the whole army fought bloody battles for five days and nights, holding their positions, and the Sichuan Army led more than 7000 people, with more than 88 casualties! Except for the [-]th Division of the German Central Committee and the team directly under the Tax Police Corps, he was counted! Rated as one of the five most capable divisions on the Songhu battlefield!"

"The next battle in Wuhan, the three battles in Changsha, and the battle in Changheng, all of them failed."

"On the eve of the final bald retreat to Taiwan, Yang Sen was the mayor of Yuzhou. Before the military order to blow up important facilities in Yuzhou, he chose to protect the interests of the country and the people. This gentleman has withstood the test on issues of national righteousness and major issues of right and wrong. of!"

After finishing speaking, he sighed and said: "The inscription on the old mountain gate, why it has been preserved after the turmoil is also a legacy of the Anti-Japanese War and Baoyu Prefecture."

Uncle Wu also lamented: "Our Sichuan army children insisted on getting it back then!"

Li Junge said: "Uncle Wu, it's not just about resisting Japan. Counting forward, after the Southern Song Dynasty destroyed the country, we people in Sichuan also resisted alone for decades, until the great uprising at the end of the Yuan Dynasty! At that time, the Shuzhou people were basically slaughtered! It can be said that we Sichuan people have always been tough in the face of national integrity!"

Uncle Wu patted his head and said, "The feng shui of Gui'er Shuzhou is really strange! When not fighting, everyone is fooling around. Playing cards is more important than eating; Shooting guns, sitting together playing mahjong in the afternoon, and releasing water to the passing troops; if it is time to fight against foreigners, it is like a mad dog, I will eat a piece of your meat to death!"

The two were having a lively conversation when they saw A Yin kept giving Li Junge winks and fake coughing.

Li Junge realized it all at once, shit, there is a Japanese in the team!
Liangzi said tearfully: "Li Sang, I'm sorry, the harm our country has caused you is too deep..."

Li Junge scratched his head and said, "Uh, auntie, this is not talking about you. We also welcome friendly foreigners. It's just that our country was poor and weak at that time, and everyone wanted to take a bite, let alone your country. , In the United Nations Army in the next five years, what the hell are Luxembourg, the Philippines, and Ethiopia?"

"So a nation must first work hard to make itself stronger. As the old saying goes, people must humiliate themselves and then others will humiliate them."

"As for who humiliated you in the end, I don't think that really matters anymore, it will all be a matter of time anyway."

"Being bullied because of this, don't blame outsiders, only blame yourself."

"But one thing, I don't know what's going on with the politicians in your country, and that's something I've never figured out."

"The survival of a country depends on its geographical depth, its ethnic composition, its population base, and its strength."

"If the geography is deep enough, or if the terrain is complex, it will drag you to death. I won't explain this example to you. You can also refer to Afghanistan."

"Ethnic composition is the absolute subject of a single nation. Even if it is conquered, the conqueror will be overthrown if he is not careful and can't control it. You can refer to the Yuan and Qing Dynasties in the far distance, and you can refer to the small countries controlled by polar bears in the near future."

"If the ethnic population base is large, it will be a matter of minutes to turn the tables. Even a cynic like Ah San can do it."

"The last thing is national strength, and having things that can deter other countries is also the key."

"But I'm sorry, we have all of these."

"This is what the book of war says about being invincible."

"So the cards are like this. There are two kings and four twos born. Even if the player's card skills are poor, even if he was kicked out of the game like the Manchus of the Southern Song Dynasty, there will soon be a big boss to catch the cards and make a fortune."

"Maybe the bones that sit on it are exquisite, or after playing a few rounds to comprehend the card skills, and then become the banker and win three parties, this is not impossible."

"That's why I've been worrying about the IQ of your country's politicians. A few big players who are naturally good at playing cards can just serve tea and water to the people next to them. At most, I don't need to set up a venue to buy a bet here and there to pick up some cheap money It’s okay. You have to go to the table to anger both parties. After you fail, you don’t want to repent. of."

"Several trenches, there will always be a day when they can't become obstacles."

After saying this, Li Junge waved his hand and said, "It is a sin to say this in front of the Buddha, Amitabha. Master Guoshan, please continue to introduce Fawang Temple for us."

Guoshan couldn't help but laugh: "You just came up with your own words? Are you talking nonsense?"

Li Junge also burst into a smile: "This...is my wild imagination."

……

There are more than 200 steps, and everyone walks, while Guoshan begins to tell the story of Fawang Temple.

"Fawang Temple is a famous temple in southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou, and one of the eight great jungles in Sichuan. It was first built in the middle Tang Dynasty, and it was known in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and it rose in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

"The mountain under our feet is called Fenghuangding. The topography and landform environment where the temple is located is exactly the auspicious place in Fengshui, surrounded by mountains, surrounded by water, and facing screens. There is a name called 'Phoenix Returns Nest'."

"The temple covers an area of [-] square meters, with a construction area of [-] square meters. It was rebuilt in the early Qing Dynasty. The designer at that time cleverly designed the entire building group as a compound courtyard with four courtyards according to the mountain situation, and According to the layout of Zen Buddhist temples, the main axis is arranged according to Shanmen, Guansheng Hall, Longevity Pavilion, Daxiong Hall, and Sutra Library, and the secondary axis is respectively arranged with wing rooms, monk's houses, and meditation halls, adopting a regular layout regulation."

"In the entire sequence from the mountain gate to the Tibetan scripture building, the space is constantly changing. The symmetrical and harmonious temple buildings form an 'integrated space' against the surrounding tall ancient Phoebe trees, creating a solemn and peaceful atmosphere."

"The architectural structure and construction style of the temple is unique, and the overall structure is made of wood and stone. The most amazing thing about the whole building is that the overall load-bearing of our Fawang Temple is supported by 240 eight red stone pillars."

"These stone pillars are all excavated from the whole stone, without splicing. There are holes in the pillars, which are connected with the wooden flat beams and string beams in the hall. Years without deviation."

"The cornerstone, platform, courtyard dam, and stone carvings in the temple are all carved from the same red stone. The whole temple has a huge project, majestic shape, rigorous structure, exquisite carvings, and magnificent momentum. At that time, it had the reputation of 'the best stonework in the world'."

"The surrounding trees are lush, the bamboo sea is surging, the stream is lingering, and the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant. In the forest, there are red beans, ginkgo, rock red, Fujian cypress, nanmu and other rare tree species, as well as ancient camphor trees, ancient cypresses, ancient pine and other national protected trees. Mao, cover the sky and block out the sun."

"Behind the monastery is a bamboo forest of more than [-] mu, which is green all the year round, and it is also a good place to spend summer and cool off."

"In the past Fawang Temple had the ten natural scenic spots of flying stone swallows, sea tides in the palace well, revelation of mysterious pearls, blue sky and blue water, dragons sucking waves, bright moons, lotus blossoms, giant Buddhas looking around, white horses always appearing, and Avalokitesvara Dragon Balls. It comes from ancient books, and what it specifically refers to is still being explored.”

"At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Fawang Temple suffered several wars and was in decline. In the early Qing Dynasty, Zen Master Gaozu Zhangxue, the authentic mountain-breaking master of Linji in the Song Dynasty, selected Fawang Temple as a preaching temple in southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou to promote Buddhism. Gengshen Year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty Wen Zhu, an eminent monk from the Sansheng Temple in the capital of Shu, came to Fawang Temple to preside over it, inheriting the Linji Dharma system. After several generations of eminent monks such as Huanyu, Huiyuan, Wulian, and Defeng worked diligently to start a business, Fawang Temple began to prosper."

"Afterwards, Master Guoduan went to the capital, went through hardships, and asked the emperor for a Tripitaka. The emperor gave 720 four letters and 160 eight volumes, ordering him to 'enshrine forever and light the Buddha'. He also gave Fawang Temple It is the "Ten Directions Jungle", and it is ordered to pass on the precepts at the beginning. The Empress Dowager personally gave a plaque of "Fawang Temple" and half a pair of luanyi to escort the Tibetan scriptures back to the temple."

"At that time, in order to repay the emperor's kindness, after more than ten years, the Fawang Temple built the Wanshou Pavilion to enshrine the imperial decree and luan ceremony. At that time, it was recorded that our temple 'the incense is flourishing in southern Sichuan'."

Master Guoshan mastered these allusions and titles so well that everyone in the group nodded repeatedly when they heard them.

During the conversation, we came to the gate of the temple. The gate of the temple is a huge wooden door. On one side of the wooden door is carved a door god. The craftsmanship is exquisite, which makes people feel awe at a glance. It reminds visitors to be honest from now on. sincerity.

According to Master Guoshan, this is a bas-relief craft of the Qing Dynasty.

On the door is a plaque with four big characters "Shifang Jungle".

This is remarkable, it is the emperor's handwriting, and it is also the origin of Fawang Temple's "edict bestowing forests in ten directions".

The first thing you see when you enter the door is a Maitreya Bodhisattva with a big belly and a big smile.

Master Guoshan paid homage and introduced to everyone: "Maitreya Bodhisattva, translated as Cishi, is one of the eight great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism and the successor of Sakyamuni Buddha. Master Xuanzang's esteem."

"I pray that I can ascend to Maitreya Bodhisattva with everyone and serve Maitreya Bodhisattva. I make a vow that when Maitreya Buddha is born, I am willing to follow him down to 'do Buddhist work' and pursue the supreme Bodhi. Pursue the highest wisdom."

"This is Master Xuanzang's last words and his last vow."

When they entered the temple to burn incense, grandma, mother, Liangzi and his group got busy, but Li Junge didn't participate, he was respectful, but just nodded to the Buddha statue to finish the job. This was an attachment in his heart.

Master Guoshan washed his hands and came personally to offer gifts to all the devotees.

This face made grandma feel very honored, and the smile lines on her face were even more profound.

After Maitreya Bodhisattva worshiped, he went up along the seventeen-level platform, and there was another hall.

Guoshan said: "It was Guan Yu that was enshrined here before, so it was called the 'Guan Sheng Temple'. It was rebuilt during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. Now it is dedicated to the three saints of the West, namely Amitabha, Avalokitesvara, and Mahasthamaprapta."

The three Bodhisattvas are majestic and compassionate, but what Li Junge cares about is the architectural format.

Looking up, the hall has a hard mountain roof, with wood and stone piercing structure.

After everyone saluted, Li Junge said to Master Guoshan: "Isn't this an example of the coexistence of the three religions?"

Master Guoshan said: "Hahaha, the three religions of Confucianism and Taoism have their own schools, but they are connected by blood. Confucianism advocates benevolence, forgiveness and love, Buddhism advocates compassion and kindness, and Taoism advocates tranquility and inaction. They all focus on spiritual pursuits and ignore material things. enjoy."

Li Junge nodded and said: "The saints of the three religions were born almost at the same time. They are perfect in perfect harmony, and the stars are in the sky. It can be regarded as a miracle in human history."
