Chapter 43

Zhong Nanshan was deserted, and the solitary lamp of the cabin was like a cold star.

Li Changqing bathed in the bright moonlight, and he didn't feel lonely when he was accompanied by green mountains, insects, birds, and little squirrels.

The morning sun shines on the mountain road, and the leeks in the field are shining green.

After Li Changqing harvested the leeks, he went directly to Lijiaao Primary School to lead the students in the morning reading, and the audience who rushed over was more than before.

The villagers originally felt that reading was far away from them, but gradually some people followed the children to read in the morning.

The leeks were also snapped up quickly, and some people who rushed over couldn't buy them.

After Li Changqing finished reading the book, he stayed for a while, and then acted as a shopkeeper and handed over the school affairs to Meng Yuncheng and Shen Ruolin.

The time spent in the mountains was longer than when he went to the county town to sell vegetables. Li Changqing cut some leeks and took them to the chicken farm to feed the chickens.

Sure enough, part of the chicken cubs went missing, and only a few dozen remained.

Li Changqing checked the barbed wire around the chicken farm again, but found no new holes.

There are many kinds of traps for catching weasels. Li Changqing decided to make a wooden box.

Back at the cabin, Li Changqing took out the cowhide bag that Li Dajiang had given him, and prepared the wood.

Make a wooden box with a length of one meter, a width of one meter, and a height of only a dozen centimeters by yourself. There are living gates at both ends of the wooden box.

Drill a shallow hole in the back of the gate and carve a wire slot in the middle of the box cover along the length of the box.Drill a small hole in the middle of the trunking, then tie a small round nail at both ends of a one-meter-long string, hang an [-]-centimeter-long string in the center of the string, and hang a small hook made of iron wire at the bottom of the string. Hang the bait on a small hook.

When the weasel comes to steal food in the box, it touches the small round nails on the two gates and leaves the gate.

The gate sags by itself, shutting the weasel into the box.

It took Li Changqing three hours to make more than a dozen wooden boxes and bury them at the entrance of the soil hole in the chicken farm.

The environment at the entrance of the cave was restored to normal, and no abnormalities were seen before leaving.

When Li Changqing was taking a nap in the cabin, he remembered his idea of last night.

The bamboo branches are tall and slender, slim and graceful, green in all seasons, frost and rain.

Much loved by the Chinese people, it is one of the four gentlemen of 'Plum, Orchid, Bamboo and Chrysanthemum', and is also known as the Three Friends of Suihan and 'Plum, Pine and Bamboo'.

Li Changqing thought about planting a circle of bamboo near the cabin, wouldn't it be beautiful to have a world in the vast bamboo sea?

Carrying a hoe, with a hatchet pinned to his waist, he climbed Zhong Nanshan again.

There are many kinds of bamboo in Zhongnanshan. Generally speaking, bamboo can be classified into cluster bamboo, scattered bamboo and reed bamboo.

Reed bamboo is not grown in the yard, while loose bamboo will produce rhizomes that spread to other areas.

Clump bamboo will grow in high density and rarely spread over a larger area.

In comparison, planting clustered bamboo near the log cabin is not only more in line with the artistic conception in the poem, but also will not damage the living environment.

The bamboo forest near Xiaoshitan is full of bamboo, but Li Changqing doesn't want to spoil its poetic beauty.

The selection of bamboos for transplanting is also very particular, and the bamboos that grow vigorously in one to two years are the best.

At the periphery of the bamboo 25 to [-] centimeters, scrape the soil to find out its stalk.

Then use a sharp hatchet to cut off the handle, dig up the soil and plant it in the well-dug hole behind the hut.

Li Changqing found qualified jungle bamboos on the mountain and transplanted them to the sides behind the cabin.

Then pour some spiritual water to ensure its survival rate, and Li Changqing watched the fruits of his labor.

The bamboo swayed in the breeze, and the elegant shadows enveloped the quiet windows.

Flocks of birds are flying in the sunset, and little squirrels rush from the hillside to roll in the bamboo forest.

With two big dies baring, he kept screaming 'woo woo', very excited.

Li Changqing looked at the scene of little squirrels playing in the woods with a smile, and lamented that this scene before this was a perfect picture!

Besides, plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum have always been the favorite subjects of Chinese painters. The four different styles of the representative works are collectively called the Four Gentlemen of Chinese Painting.

Among them, bamboo is extremely common, but there are very few Miao Miao who can really paint bamboo well.

Li Changqing has been studying traditional Chinese painting in Xiyanchi for a long time, and for a while he wanted to paint a picture of squirrels playing in a bamboo forest in the setting sun.

The pen, ink, paper and inkstone were brought out from the cabin, and the white rice paper was clamped on the wooden frame made by myself.

Li Changqing once found Zheng Banqiao, one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, on a bamboo tree in the bamboo forest.

Zheng Banqiao had a special liking for bamboo painting all his life. He painted for 40 years and once wrote a poem.

Over the past 40 years, I have painted bamboo branches and written about my thoughts at night.

Trim away the cumbersomeness and leave the thinness, when the painting is born, it is when it is cooked.

The painting bamboo is divided into three states of "bamboo in the eyes", "bamboo in the hand" and "bamboo in the heart", focusing on the growth of bamboo.

In terms of technique alone, bamboo poles are tall and tough, and generally the brush follows the root to the tip.

From bottom to top, if the pole hangs upside down, then from top to bottom.

Hold the pen slightly sideways and reversed, and draw it section by section.

When painting the main pole at the bottom of the bamboo, the brush is full of ink, and when it is near the branches and leaves, it gradually becomes weaker.

There must be obvious setbacks at the beginning and end of each stroke, like the femur and humerus, the two ends are slightly thicker and the middle is thinner, leaving room for branches and leaves.

There are two common forms of bamboo joints, one is the "eight" style, which is named according to its shape.

The other is similar to the head of the word "crown" and is coherent with a pen. It is called dragonfly's eye or bird's belly in ancient music.

The angle of view of the word "crown" is lower than the bamboo joint, which makes the bamboo pole seem to fall inward.

The slender lines of the bamboo poles are strong and straight, and the brush strokes are fast to show the strength of the brushwork, which is in an alternate state with the bamboo branches.

Generally, two bamboo nodes grow side by side, and the other node grows branches in the opposite direction, staggering left and right. There is a saying in the old spectrum that "the branches are divided into left and right, and one side is not allowed".

Thin poles and small branches do not need to draw knots, they can be simple, but the lines must start and end with bumps, and the joints are joints. If you stick to the small details, it will appear trivial.

Even though Li Changqing has already mastered the technique of painting bamboo, it is not an easy task to depict the scene of little squirrels playing in the jungle bamboo and the bamboo shadow reflected in the cabin.

Before starting to write, Li Changqing concentrated on observing the changes of the bamboo as the breeze blows.

Then use your fingers to measure the length of the bamboo's knots, and then remember how dense the bamboo leaves are.

Li Changqing only started to write when he had a bamboo in his heart.

From bamboo joints to bamboo branches and bamboo leaves, the bamboo shadow in front of the window of the cabin is used as rendering, and finally the little squirrel rolls under the bamboo as the finishing touch.

A picture of squirrels playing in a bamboo forest comes alive on paper!
Li Changqing's picture of squirrels playing in a bamboo forest reflects the characteristics of "life" by using the bamboo forest, cabins and squirrels to complement each other.

As long as the "birth" of bamboo is reflected, the god of bamboo will naturally come into being!
It can be said that Li Changqing's painting of squirrels playing in a bamboo forest has reached a very high level, but Li Changqing only took a few glances to find some defects in it, and then tore up a painting that was enough to cause a sensation.

Li Changqing looks at the bamboo shadows whirling under the moon, and the little squirrels running around and having fun. What painting can be better than this?
