Desert Island Survival Diary

Chapter 7, Day 7, Resolving the urgent need

Chapter 7 The seventh day, resolve the urgent need

The trip to the sea was not in vain.

I found a lot of things, plastic bottles, broken shoes, rotten fishing nets, and even soda cans.

Regardless of whether it is useful or not, as long as it is produced by humans, I will take it to the shelter.

Now all I need to do is salt.

But I don't know how to do it.

I only know sun salt, but I don't know how to operate it.

This bothers me a lot.

Moreover, these days I often feel dizzy and want to vomit, I don't know if it is the result of not eating salt.

After all, the sweat from these few days has formed a large white stain on my back.

"Ok?"

"correct!"

I patted my head hard.

How could I forget such a thing.

Excited, I took off my tattered outer pants and clothes, and rubbed them clean in the sea water.

Then let them soak up the sea water and hang on the branches in the sun.

I think I should be able to get some salt now.

But I'm not one to put all my eggs in one basket.

So, I'm going to try every way I can think of.

The second way to start.

I'm trying to see if sun salt would work.

On the beach farther from the sea, I dug a large hole.

About the size of a table.

I dug it out bit by bit.

Then I built a small trough by the side of the pit, preparing to draw in seawater and expose it to the sun.

See if you can get the salt out.

But soon, I found out that it failed. I guess only I could think of diverting water on the beach. It didn't take long for all the water to seep out.

Helpless, so much effort and time wasted.

The result turned out to be a failure. I was very angry and kicked the dug out sand hard, kicking the sand far away.

Fortunately, I have a third way. I want to try boiling sea water to see if I can boil out some salt.

I don't have a suitable container though.

If you put seawater in the can, I feel that the amount is too small.

Thinking about it left and right, time passed very quickly.

Looking through the coconut palms, I looked at the sun approaching overhead, and suddenly, I thought of a perfect container solution.

I thought, coconut.

It was just too much work to open it, I had to find a bigger and sharper stone than the one I opened the coconut on the first day.

But as always, when you need it most, you won't find it.

I feel very, very deeply about this sentence now.

Indeed, I have been around for a long time.

But I couldn't find a suitable stone.

No way, I have to do some things in the afternoon, so I can only choose to pick up the clothes that are still exposed to the sun, and the huge coconut.

After returning to the clearing of the shelter, I swallowed a few fruits.

The leaves on this "bed" have changed color and still look dry.

If you lie down now, you should feel a little more comfortable than before.

But I have more important things to do now, and I don't even have time to crack that coconut.

Yesterday, the dark shadow in the woods and the shadow that woke me up in the middle of the night occupied my mind all day.

So I must think of a solution today.

At least let yourself have a way to feel at ease.

I hurried back because I had an idea.

Continue to collect dead branches, especially those that are longer.

I'm going to put a fence around where I sleep.

After the start of work, I found out how much work it took to do this.

I took all the branches around here as long as they were about one meter away.

Ridiculously enough, I only made half the fence.

If I need to complete this task, I still need to find so many branches.

This is a task I can never accomplish.

So the next best thing is to use rattan to surround the place where the branches are not inserted.

But I'm still not satisfied.

The sense of security I wanted didn't come out.

So I dug a few holes in the gaps between the canes, and buried several sharp branches stuck in the ground under the holes.

And the cans and bottles I picked up were hung in the center of the rattan.

As long as any creature touches the vine, it will make a thought sound.

For safety, I used branches to prop up the rattan to a height of about [-] centimeters.

Because if the creature is only less than twenty centimeters, then I also believe that it will not pose any threat to me.

I am afraid of unknown beings, and this is no doubt the cause of my fear.

After doing all this, the sky slowly began to darken.

Before it was all dark, I went to the river once.

After filling a bottle of water in a can, instead of catching fish, I headed back to my shelter.

Fortunately, I lit the fire before going out, otherwise, I would never have come back here.

I haven't had boiled water for a long time.

The cans were erected by me in the fire, wrapped in flames.

Hot air escaped from the mouth of the can.

Finally, I can drink with confidence.

After the water that had been boiled for nearly 10 minutes cooled down, I drank it in a few mouthfuls.

At this moment, I heard the roar of the plane.

"Come on, they're here to save me."

"It must be them."

Excited, I threw the soda can out.

In the sky, there is indeed a plane, and its taillights are flashing.

I desperately chased the direction of the plane and waved vigorously, beating.

no respond.

"I'm here, save me!" I yelled.

Although it is getting farther and farther away and flying higher and higher, I am still chasing it.

In fact, reason told me a long time ago that this should be a passing civil aviation plane, and if it comes to rescue me, it must be a helicopter or a boat.

But I have always refused to believe it. I hope to be discovered and rescued, so I don't give up any chance.

Now the plane flew away again, and my mood fell again.

I don't know why, but every time I forget, it reminds me to wait for hope, only to kill it in the end.

Today I took a long time to calm myself down, my clothes and trousers are completely dry after a day of exposure to the sun and the fire.

I took the clothes, and white traces appeared in front of me.

It shook slightly a few times, and some white particles rustled down.

It worked, it worked.

I licked my finger on the tip of my tongue, and I put a few white particles on the ground and put them in my mouth.

Feeling them on the tip of my tongue, melting, disintegrating, I was so excited.

Salt, it turns out that it can be so delicious, I sigh.

It would have been nice to have more salt, I thought.

I can try to marinate some fish, which can be used as an emergency in case of food shortage later.

It can only be said that I am thinking too much now. I have only succeeded in one method now, and the current method of drying clothes is too low in salt.

I feel that this output may not be enough for my daily use.

I should try another way tomorrow.

There is also waste at the seaside, and I have to find more time to find it. Once I find something suitable, I have to bring it back. I feel that I am lacking everything now.
