Desert Island Survival Diary

Chapter 8, Day 9, Treasure Hunting at the Seaside and a Great Harvest

Chapter 8: On the Ninth Day, Treasure Hunting at the Seaside and a Great Harvest

Yesterday, bad luck.

I just want to get some coconut tree leaves.

I'm not good at climbing trees.

Still, I climbed up to add a roof to my shelter.

I just smashed a piece of it with a stone, and I accidentally fell from the tree.

That's right, when I came down from a height of several meters, my leg was twisted and swelled up a lot. I don't know if it was broken.

Then I crawled back to the shelter and lay on the "bed" for a day, yes the whole day.

When I woke up today, I found that although the ankle of my left leg was still swollen, I was able to support myself.

I don't have much time.

Can't afford to waste it.

This is totally out of my plan.

Today I'm going to the beach to find everything useful.

This foot still hurts when I step on the ground. I thought it was much better, but I didn't realize until just now that it wasn't.

The pain went to the marrow. Although I tried hard to step on the ground, my instinctive stress response forced me to lift my heels.

No way, it took me a long time to find a branch that could support it.

Finally I came to the beach again.

Looking at the tumbling tide, I asked myself, "What are you still holding on to? Why are you holding on."

The final answer is, I am afraid of death, I want to live.

Survival is simply too difficult, I told myself.

Several times, a voice in my heart wanted me to go into the sea, let me blend into the sea water.

I finally shook my head and left.

……

The beach was not in vain today, I found some good things.

A suitcase, some broken fishing nets, and some broken planks.

There was even a worn slipper.

Although there are not many things, these can bring me use value.

Just as I was about to go back with these spoils, I found that the tide had ebbed, and the sea water was receding rapidly, revealing a lot of reefs that were originally hidden under the sea.

Many seabirds rushed down.

This reminds me that I will have a chance to pick up seafood.

The first thing that appeared in front of me was a starfish. This thing can be eaten even if it is baked. I have seen it at a barbecue stall.

When I walked near a reef, I found oysters again. This is my favorite. I grabbed the gravel beside the reef like crazy and beat it desperately.

After a long time, I only got two, just two.

It is better than nothing.

Then I rummaged around the reef again, and a few small crabs were caught by me.

A few small fish were also caught by me.

Surprisingly, I also caught a moray eel, which should be about a catty.

Reluctantly looking at the reef full of oysters, I left.

After all, I don't have time to toss anymore. Although I really want to eat this delicious food, my current situation does not allow it. I can only use the least consumption to get the most energy.

I don't know the rules of the tide's coming and going. If I'm greedy for my appetite, I may be swept away by the raging waves at any time.

I said, I am afraid of death, so oysters should wait for a chance in the future.

After packing these trophies into this dilapidated suitcase and barely closing it, I dragged the box and walked to the shelter.

When I passed the coconut grove, I was attracted by the rustling sound under the tree.

I gently put down the suitcase I was carrying, tightly held the branch supported by my hand, and slowly moved towards the place where the sound came from.

My palms were sweating, and my heart was beating fast.

I was afraid that some monster would suddenly appear and startle me.

But curiosity is always the greatest weapon against fear.

Finally, I was only three steps away from the coconut tree.

The rustling sound seemed to hear me approaching, and it actually stopped.

This made me even more nervous, and my brow was dripping with sweat.

Finally, after three steps, I saw the source of the sound.

What a big spider!
But if you look closely, it has a carapace all over its body.

This should be the coconut crab, I've seen it on TV.

But I've never seen one this big, its body was bigger than my head.

The huge pincers are waving at me like a demonstration, and I want to knock it to death with the branch in my hand.

But it didn't take long for me to be denied by my own naive thoughts.

Because my branch was cut off by him...

But it still raised its head, waving the giant pincers in an attempt to scare me away.

But it clearly underestimated my IQ.

I turned around and took the suitcase over, covered it directly, and jumped on it fiercely.

As a result, I was dissatisfied with the guess, and with a click, I won.

It's heavy, about ten catties.

Today is my lucky day, so many delicious food, let me go back faster.

Finally, I returned to the shelter before dark and lit a bonfire.

Today is bound to be a day worth celebrating, so much food should be enough to fill me up.

I leaned two oysters by the fire. I really wanted to eat them raw, but I had diarrhea, so as long as they were slightly grilled, I could eat them with peace of mind.

The starfish was thrown by me directly by the fire.

The small crabs and small fish were stuffed into the cans I picked up the day before yesterday, and I carefully threw in the salt that had been dried out before.

The cans heat up quickly against the fire.

The coconut crab was divided into several pieces by me, and the body was baked by the fire, and the crab legs were inserted on the branches and obliquely by the fire.

Besides these, there is also a moray eel.

The conger eel was skewered by me on the branch, and I haven't started roasting yet.I'm just too busy.

The oysters are the fastest to ripen, and the shells opened not long after, and the juice inside was boiling. I gently pulled it with a branch, and the snow-white meat inside was exposed.

I pulled out the oyster quickly, and before it was completely cooled, I picked it up and poured it into my mouth.

Hot, I exhaled heavily.

But immediately, all kinds of happy feelings began to overflow in my mouth, soft, delicate, slightly sweet, tender, smooth, and there was a taste of sea water and a touch of saltiness.

I enjoyed this feeling very much, it was so good, and then I ate the second one in one bite.

After the oysters were finished, the starfish was also steaming and told me that it was time to eat it.

I haven't eaten this thing, I just saw others eat it.

To be honest, the stuff inside is really disgusting. I think people with dense density will not be able to bear it when they see it. I smell it, and the smell is a bit like the mud mixed with rotten leaves in the forest, but it tastes a bit like crabmeat. , although the taste is a bit heavy.

Next, is today's most perfect coconut crab. I didn't expect the taste of this crab to be so perfect, full of elasticity, especially delicious in the crab legs. How should I say it, I think its meat is very similar to crayfish, especially Chewy feeling.

It is worth mentioning that my soup today is also very perfect, I can taste the slight salty taste, and add small fish and small crabs to enhance the freshness.

I finished this jar of soup in no time.

I was so full that I fell asleep without even eating the conger eel.
