Riding the wind of rebirth

Chapter 1365 Go to Beijing again

Just when the museum and collection circles across the country were turning their attention to the new Sichuan University Museum, Zhou Zhi had already left school. He had many urgent matters and had to go to the capital.

Through the restoration of these paintings in the Shu University Museum, Zhou Zhi's appraisal skills have greatly improved, and he has gained a new understanding of the ancient paintings taken out of the secret room of Sui Huaxuan.

Among those paintings, more than 30 scrolls of paintings from the inner court of the third dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, more than 20 scrolls of paintings by fifteen members of the Yangzhou School of Painting, and letters from many modern and contemporary painters and bosses are all authentic.

Zhou Zhi only had doubts about four of the ten scrolls of paintings by Chen, Xu, Zhu and Shi. Because he was pressed for time at the time, he had no time to make a serious appraisal, and he did not believe that his luck would be so good.

Chen Xu and Zhu Shi, namely Chen Chun, Xu Wei, and Zhu Da Shitao, the first two were the masters of the Great Freehand Painting School in the Ming Dynasty, and the latter two were the successors of the Great Freehand Painting School in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.

Now Zhou Zhi's eyesight has greatly improved, especially the paper, ink, brushwork, composition, and even mounting styles of Ming Dynasty paintings. After that, he became more and more inclined to believe that at least four of the ten ancient paintings were authentic.

Because the four paintings have seals such as "Tangcun Approval", "Jiao Forest", "View its rough outline", "Calm down and embrace the ice and snow" respectively. These are the appraisal seals of Liang Qingbiao, a great collector in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.

Liang's seals, both ink pads and inscriptions, are very well made, and very few can be imitated by later generations.

In addition, there are also seals such as "Shiqi", "Eternal Secret Play", "Bamboo Window", "Calligraphy and Painting Seal from Gao's Jiangcun Thatched Cottage".

This is the appraisal seal of Gao Shiqi, the Minister of Rites and a great collector during the Kangxi period. This man's collection has a special feature. He has calligraphy and paintings with the words "send", "in" and so on. They are all given to the imperial family or relatives and friends. Most of them are for the imperial court or relatives and friends. If it is a fake and of low value, and has a collection seal, especially the "Eternal Secret Play" seal, it is definitely a treasure.

In addition, there are "Xipi Poetry Master" and "Shangqiu Song Nao Approved Authentic", which is Song Nao.

There is "Records of Yagutang Yawan", this is Bian Yongyu.

There are "disciples of the past" and "Korean people", this is Anqi.

These are big collectors, connoisseurs, and royal collection consultants. If one of their seals is on the calligraphy and painting, the BUFF will be added to the authenticity of the ancient painting.

In addition, there are many famous collectors of seals, such as the Wu family of Xixi, a great salt merchant in Huizhou, the Wen family of Longyou, who lived for six generations from Wen Zhengming to the Six Dynasties, and the famous Anguo family, which is known as "half of the Forbidden City's ancient calligraphy and painting collection." The Xiang Yuanbian family, Wuxi Tan family, and Songjiang Dong family all have their own seals.

Of course, the most common ones on the paintings are the appraisal seals of the Qing Palace and the appraisal seals of successive emperors. Of course, the most abundant ones are the appraisal seals of the various periods of Qianlong.

With these things in calligraphy and painting, it would be difficult to imitate, but this area itself was Zhou Zhi's weakness, and he did not dare to confirm it rashly.

He couldn't figure out Zhang Duo's paintings, and he was even more confused about Zhang Xiao's. However, after preliminary identification and finding that all the paintings and calligraphy in the room were authentic, he was still very sure.

Therefore, during the holiday, after finishing correcting the test papers for the "Oracle Bone Inscriptions Appreciation" class and letting all the elective students pass, Zhou Zhi rushed to the capital with ten scrolls of ancient paintings and asked the big guys to help "unravel the mystery."

Now that the plants are growing, Demiantang still takes care of the taste of Mr. Wang and Mr. Qi. He uses wooden sea to raise water lilies and goldfish, and there is also a row of dovecotes dedicated to raising pigeons for Mr. Wang.

Nowadays, there are more and more high-rise buildings in the city. It is impossible for homing pigeons to think about it. If they are kept in this courtyard, they will defect to higher places.

However, Mr. Wang has his own way of playing. In addition to homing pigeons, ornamental pigeons are also a major cultural and entertainment category in old Beijing.

Now the old man's pleasure is to buy and trade goldfish and doves, and Mrs. Yuan's pleasure has become to paint goldfish and doves. There is no conflict between the old couple's pleasures at all. There are many collections in Demian Hall, and Mr. Wang and Mr. Qi have been in charge for a long time, so the number of people visiting is like crucian carp crossing the river.

In order to make their work and rest more comfortable, the two elders simply made up a rule to hold lectures on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On the other days, they summoned the big guys from the Forbidden City and the National Museum of China to come. Today, Demian Hall is almost becoming the center of the Forbidden City and the National Museum. "Veteran Cadre Activity Center".

This is only the front hall, while the back hall has replaced the function of the Haima Club and has become a gathering place for literati, artists, fine artists, film and television singers and celebrities from the Beijing circle.

"Did you receive it?" Mr. Wang saw Mr. Ma who had received Zhou Zhi: "Did you tell me about it on the way?"

"I've said it before," Mr. Ma replied, "but I don't dare to go directly to Shichahai as you asked. I have to come to visit you first no matter what."

Mr. Wang was anxious: "Why are you visiting me?! Go and settle Xiao Cui's matter first, so as not to have a long night and many dreams!"

"Old man, you don't have to worry." Zhou Zhi smiled and said, "Teacher Cui has a very good taste. Since I have chosen Haichao Temple by name, I won't change my mind easily. It's better to visit you first."

Then he put the big box on the table: "Besides, my job is not smaller than Teacher Cui's job. Why don't you take a look first?"

Mr. Wang opened the box: "Big soft film? Why can't you hold it now?"

"Half of it can be grasped, and the remaining half..." Zhou Zhi Nan smiled and said: "Please ask the second elder to check it."

Mr. Wang picked up the scroll, opened it and saw the seal "Reorganizing Shiqu Bao Pavilion", and quickly put it away: "Well, I'll call Lao Qi and ask him to come over. You and Weiwei should go find Xiao Cui Ba, I really won’t be happy until things are finalized.”

"How about we wait for Mr. Qi to come over and we go there together?" Zhou Zhi tried to ask: "After all, this matter is too big and the benefits are too big. I don't dare to be greedy..."

Mr. Wang looked at the box in his hand and felt very itchy, but he still felt that the matter over there was bigger: "Then I'll ask him to come over. Let's go and take care of things over there first."

After finishing the call, Mr. Wang said: "Xiao Cui has been developing in the island country in recent years, and he received a very thick album some time ago."

"The album is a complete one-hundred-page album, all of which are meticulously painted Arhats with landscape backgrounds."

"He wasn't very good at appraisals either. He just thought the painting was exquisite, so he bought it. He then brought it back and entrusted it to us."

"We looked at it and found that there are a total of 310 Arhat characters in the album. The Arhats are decorated with many characters on the left and right, as well as the images of dragons, tigers, deers, lions and other mythical beasts."

"The album is a culmination of figures, landscapes, flowers and birds. The figures painted are vivid in shape, with different expressions. The brushwork and ink are concise, the narrative is clear, and the technique is very mature. It is actually the work of Shi Tao in his youth."

"Is it Shi Tao? In his youth, he painted it when he was a monk at Guangjiao Temple in Xuancheng, Anhui?"

"Yes." (End of chapter)
