Riding the wind of rebirth

Chapter 1689: Fighting caused by Feng Shui changes
The villagers also know how to judge a person by his status. Old Chi Ri is too prestigious to be disturbed, Tu Liangzhi is too serious to be approached, and Wu Renzhong is often a little unreliable. No matter how big the matter is among the villagers, it is often as a trifle to him, so he will naturally treat it as a trifle, which makes the villagers very uncomfortable.
Zhou Zhi is different. He smiles at everyone. If you tell him something, he will really take it to heart and will always try to find a way to solve it for you.
He is also very capable. He can drive a truck, work as an electrician, use machines to pack rice grits, cut potato slices, grind soybean milk, and make many delicious foods in different ways...
Now he can even work with the great Bimo to bring water over the mountains. What a great skill does this require?
Anyway, he has only been here for two weeks, but the villagers have already treated him as one of their own and like to go to him when they have any problems.
Wu Renzhong now understands how to get closer to his fellow villagers. Zhou Zhi’s suggestion of helping the villagers “sell goods” is a great idea.
The front of the small tractor that Zhou Zhi bought was equipped with a homemade trailer. Now, every time there was a market, Wu Renzhong and Zhou Zhi's guards would drag the villagers to the market. Every time, the trailer and the roof of the guards' car were full, and people were all crowded in the car. The smell was so bad that Zhou Zhi dared not close the window at all.
No matter how difficult the conditions are, Zhou Zhi believes that this is the first step for the villagers to start contacting the outside world. Many times things are like this. In his hometown of Fubao and Zihuai, there are villagers who only go down the mountain twice a year to buy some salt, matches, and washing powder, and the rest are all self-sufficient. In those days, it is rare for people to have any motivation, and it is difficult to have the determination and motivation to become rich.
Go to the market more often and sell some agricultural products from your home, no matter how much, you can exchange them for some things, it can be a bag of salt, a few boxes of firecrackers, or even a bowl of rice noodles or a pound of liquor in the village market.
Whatever it is, once you’ve tasted a little sweetness, it’s hard not to want a bigger sweetness.
Once your spirits are aroused, other things will be easier.
This is why Zhou Zhi organized the kids to bring dried ferns from their homes and sell them to him.
Of course, he didn't need so many things, so he planned to send them to Shudu after collecting a certain amount. It wasn't much money anyway, so he could give it to Feng Xueshan and distribute it to everyone as a welfare benefit.
But getting close to people can also cause trouble, and that is now, when many people, young and old, come to toast you with Zhouzhi wine.
Jiachuan is also known as the hometown of white wine, and almost every town has its own winery. Zhou Zhi's alcohol tolerance is considered quite good in his hometown, but here he is completely inferior. Fortunately, he is much more cunning than Wu Renzhong. When he is almost drunk, he starts pretending to be drunk, the kind that no one can wake up. Every time the villagers get him drunk like this, they carry him to the bed with satisfaction and keep saying that he has good drinking habits.
Well, he never refuses and keeps drinking until he passes out. Even when drunk, he doesn't act crazy or vomit, he just sleeps quietly. Isn't everyone giving him a thumbs up for his drinking behavior?
Zhou Zhi actually fell asleep several times, and woke up feeling refreshed. He would go to the study and write all night long, with his ideas flowing like a spring.
Today was a big occasion, with many fellow villagers raising their glasses. Zhou Zhi was secretly frightened by the scene, so he arranged to get drunk early.

It is not known whether the Yi people have the concept of Feng Shui, but Zhou Zhi knows that their culture is actually profound and extensive. They also have simple philosophical concepts such as the six directions, five sounds, five colors, five qi, and five elements.
Lianhe Township used to use groundwater. The houses in the township were built along the hillside. There was a street made up of small stone steps and two small ditches on both sides of the street. The ditches had long been dry and basically only served as drainage in the rainy season. Occasionally, they were also used as toilets, which was another bad habit.
The villagers don't care about it. Often, men and women alike can just fold their charvae and squat down to solve the problem. This ditch is simply designed for this purpose.
But there is no water in the ditch, and the accumulation of these things poses a huge health hazard. They often have to accumulate until the rainy season to be washed into the Meigu River by the water flow. It is a very scary thing before the rainy season comes.
Now the stream has flowed over the slope and returned to Lianhe Township, winding past the chicken farm on the back mountain, then flowing into the township along the ditch, and washing down along the ditches on both sides of the street.
In the old days, like in many ethnic minority villages, the water in this ditch was for drinking. The houses of every household were generally well built, but there was a stone slab across the ditch at the door, where people could wash clothes and vegetables.
Families who are more particular will build a deeper, stone-paved pool next to the ditch to replace the well, and the accumulated water is used for drinking.
Since the ditch was dry for half a year, many people had forgotten its original function. Now that the water flow has been reestablished, the gurgling stream has become a sight to behold in every household every year.
It was tiring to fetch water from the Meigu River and several wells in the village, so some people started to fetch water from the ditches again.
But some people still keep the old habit and pee in the gutter.
When the person fetching water sees the person peeing, conflicts arise, and even vicious incidents such as fights arise.
It is a tradition for the Yi people to love fighting. In ancient times, the entire Liangshan area was composed of many large and small "family branches". The so-called family branches are actually small social systems. They are patrilineal blood groups connected by blood ties, and use a genealogy system with father and son names connected to consolidate and extend blood ties.
Each "family branch" has its common ancestor and surname. The "family branch" becomes a "close group" because of its close relationship with the production, life, economy, politics, labor, ethics and morality of its members.
There are also bloodline levels within the family branches. In historical periods, the Yi society was divided into Zimo belonging to the chieftain, Nuohe belonging to the aristocratic Black Yi, Qunuo belonging to the low-class civilian White Yi, and Ajia, the Anjia boy, and Jiaxi, the Guozhuang boy, who belonged to the slave class.
This has led to many proverbs about "family branches", such as "Monkeys live in the woods, toads live in the pond, and the Yi people live in family branches", "Nine generations form the family, and ten generations form the relatives", "One person has troubles, a hundred people help; one family has difficulties, a hundred families take care of it", and "Don't destroy the family branch, the family branch is like the courtyard wall. Without the family branch to manage you, you will be separated from the wool ball."
Throughout history, in order to achieve their ruling goals, the ruling class would often deliberately sow discord between family branches. Many family branches had feuds, which led to the formation of a unique term for war - "fighting enemies."
It was not until 1955 or 1956 that the state implemented institutional reforms in this region, and the Yi people "leaped a thousand years ago" and entered modern society.
Therefore, the Yi people's character is full of bravery and aggressiveness. At such times, it is no longer effective to find child cadres, and they have to upgrade to the big Bimo to "seek justice."
