When Zheng Hui, Qingping official of Nanzhao, entered Chang'an City, he had mixed feelings.

He was originally a Jinshi of the Tang Dynasty. He was captured during the emperor's period because of the imperial court's aggressive conquest of Nanzhao. Later, he was treated with courtesy by the king of Nanzhao.

Now that Nanzhao was counterattacked by the Tang army, Zheng Hui had to go to Chang'an to negotiate peace with the Tang Dynasty.

Chang'an City seems to be more prosperous than before.

Zheng Hui traveled from Shuzhong to Hanzhong and entered Chang'an along the way. Along the way, he saw the gradual stability of various parts of the Tang Dynasty, the prosperity of the market and the people living and working in peace and contentment, and he became more anxious.

A small country like Nanzhao can only jump around when the Tang Dynasty is weak.

Now that the Anshi Rebellion in Tang Dynasty ended sooner than Zheng Hui expected, and the speed of recovery from the war was faster than Zheng Hui imagined, how can this be fought?
After Zheng Hui arrived in Chang'an, he was arranged by the Ministry of Etiquette in the Guest House. Although the courtesies of the Tang Dynasty were thoughtful, seeing his strange Nanzhao costume and Han face, Zheng Hui could still see the disdainful eyes of everyone in the Guest House.

Zheng Hui was even more ashamed, covering his face with his sleeves every time he saw anyone.

On the third day after Zheng Hui arrived in Chang'an, Li Tan, the prince of Jian Guo, finally found time to meet Zheng Hui.

Zheng Hui met the legendary Tang prince in the Tai Chi Hall.

"Foreign minister Zheng Hui, I have seen His Highness."

Zheng Hui saluted Li Tan solemnly, and then presented the letter of credence written by the King of Nanzhao with both hands.

Mu Rong took the letter of credence and handed it to Li Tan who was above the imperial steps.

Li Tan casually browsed through it. The content of Nanzhao King's letter of surrender is also simple, saying that he was taken hostage by Tubo and sent troops to attack Datang.

Then I traced the history of Datang and Nanzhao, explaining the long-term friendship between the two countries, hoping to cease war with Datang.

Li Tan finished reading the Guoshu, looked up at Zheng Hui and said:

"Officer Zheng Qingping, Gu has just received news that the Zhongyong Army is about to reach Erhai Lake."

Zheng Hui was taken aback for a moment, the capital of Nanzhao was on the Erhai Lake, and the majestic Prince Jian of the Tang Dynasty would not lie, Zheng Hui trembled all over his body.

Li Tan on the throne raised his finger and said:
"First, the king of Nanzhao went to the prince to proclaim himself a duke."

"Secondly, following the system of the Han family, the Nanzhao government has a state minister and a captain. The minister is in charge of Nanzhao's state affairs, and the captain is in charge of Nanzhao's military affairs. These two positions and officials are dispatched by the Tang Dynasty."

After Zheng Hui heard Li Tan's two conditions, his head was buzzing even more.

Unexpectedly, Datang's determination to destroy Nanzhao was so great.

Zheng Hui was about to speak, but Li Tan said again: "Gu didn't negotiate with you, you go back quickly and tell the king of Nanzhao."

After saying this, Li Tan stood up and left the hall.

Zheng Huiqiang propped himself up, and knelt down to the empty dragon chair to thank him.

After leaving Tai Chi Palace, Zheng Hui still didn't give up, he licked his face and found some old acquaintances in Chang'an, wanting to inquire about the situation of the Tang court and see if there was any room for maneuver.

But none of these old acquaintances saw Zheng Hui, and a few reminded Zheng Hui that Li Tan, the prince of the supervisory state, was arbitrary, and it was impossible for the Zhengshitang to object to his decisions. Room for change.

Zheng Hui understood the situation and immediately set off to return to Nanzhao.

In some cities in Tubo, Padmasambhava is teaching the Dharma to Chisong Dezan in Zanpu Court.

The news of Lanzhou's defeat spread to Luoxie City, and Chisong Dezan was furious, but Zan Puting did not punish Shang Jiezan, but instead publicized that Tubo had won a great victory in Lanzhou and was attacking the city in the Tang Dynasty.

Chisong Dezan also had no choice, Bai Linjun had lost so much, if this news came out, the prestige he had just established would be gone immediately.

The Bailin Army was recruited from the richest areas of Tubo near Luoxie City, and they were also the most loyal supporters of Zanpu's direct territory. The Bailin Army was not only an elite force, but also the central army that Chisong Dezan subdued other local nobles in Tubo.

The anti-Buddhist ministers in Zanpu Court were all killed, but there are still many local nobles who oppose Buddhism.

So Trisong Detsen could only hide the news, pretended to be relaxed in Luoxi City, and kept inviting Padmasambhava to give lectures in Zanputing.

Trisong Detsen hugged his favorite concubine, and listened to Padmasambhava's lecture on the method of double cultivation. There were Tubo nobles standing on the left and right sides of Zanputing, and they all listened as fascinatedly as Trisong Detsen.

Some time ago, Chisong Dezan issued the Law of the Seven Buddhas, stipulating that every seven people should worship a Buddhist shrine, and every village with [-] people should build a Buddhist temple.

The whole of Tubo started construction, and a large number of serfs died during the construction of the temple, and their bodies were buried under the temple.

In order to build these Buddhist temples, the local nobles intensified their exploitation of ordinary people, and even the lowest-level Tubo warriors had to hand over their savings as apportionment funds for the construction of Buddhist temples.

Chisong Dezan built a Buddhist temple behind Zanputing. The Buddha statue in this Buddhist temple is three meters high, and the whole body is covered with gold leaf.

The ground in the Buddhist hall is covered with gold bricks. These are the gold bricks that Trisong Dezan ordered the people in the whole Luoxi city to take out the gold from their homes and "donate" it to Zan Puting.

Just when Chisong Dezan was fascinated by listening, he suddenly heard the noise outside Zanpu's court.

Chisong Dezan showed displeasure, but before he called the guards, the shouts outside Zanpu's court became louder and louder.

The gate of Zampting's palace was kicked open, only to see a general in armor walking into Zampting.

Thank you Shang Jie!
The nobles present saw the general's face clearly, isn't Shang Jiezan at the front line? How could it be in Zaptine?
Chisong Dezan also trembled all over. He saw the blood on Shang Jiezan's body and understood his situation.

Shang Jiezan waved his hand, and his soldiers rushed in, and soon there were miserable begging sounds in Zanpu's court, but all those who listened to the lecture here today were Chisong Dezan's cronies, and Shang Jiezan did not leave any one behind. kill clean.

Trisong Detsen's favorite concubine had fainted from fright, and now only Padmasambhava in white and Trisong Detsen on the throne remained.

Shang Jiezan looked at Padmasambhava sitting cross-legged on the ground with his palms folded, and then said to Chisong Dezan on the throne:

"Send Zanpu to the Buddha Kingdom."

Trisong Detsen was dragged off his throne by tiger-wolf warriors, and he cursed Shang Jiezan like a dead dog, "Ben Zanpu curses Shang Jiezan to go to hell!"

He wanted to say even more ugly words, but a sword pierced the back of his head, and Zanpu, who was regarded as a god by Tubo, died just like that.

Shang Jiezan looked at Lianhuasheng and asked: "Master, old Zanpu cursed me to go to hell, how can I resolve it."

Padmasambhava just closed his eyes and said: "The poor monk will open the forum and pray for 49 days, and it will naturally resolve the old Zanpu's grievances."

"That's good, send Master back to Samye Monastery."

After the soldiers left Zanputing with Padmasambhava on their shoulders, Shang Jiezan pointed to the unconscious concubine Chisong Dezan on the throne and said:

"Go to the harem and let old Zanpu's favorite concubines be buried."

On the second day, news came from Tubo that the old Zanpu Chisong Dezan was promoted to his spare time, and the concubines in the harem were in great pain, and they voluntarily died for the funeral.

Chisong Dezan followed the traditional rituals of Tubo, his internal organs were all emptied, and mercury was poured into his mouth and nose. His body was placed in Zanpu Court and smoked for seven days before being buried in the tombs of successive Zanpu kings.

And his favorite concubine was poured with mercury while alive, and then buried in the royal tomb, waiting for Zanpu in the afterlife world first.

Queen Cai Bang was also going to be buried, but under the persuasion of Da Lun Shang Jiezan, she had to stay to take care of Tubo.

The five-year-old eldest son of Queen Cai Bang was honored as Muni Tsampo, and Queen Cai Bang replaced her son in controlling the state affairs.

Shang Jiezan was appointed as the Assistant Political Leader, and his status was still higher than that of other leaders.

It's just that the news of the Tang army's entry into Tibet spread to Luoxie City before Queen Cai Bang and the monk won the praises for too long.

Although the tortoise has a longevity, there is still time.

Books also have a lifespan, and forcibly extending their lifespan will only make the book incomplete.

Many book friends have noticed that Fat Bird is about to end.

This book is in the final stage, and 4000 words are updated a day in the last few days.

I will release a new book when the old book is finished. Thank you for your continued support.
