Fahai travels through Tang Sanzang

It's not that Fahai looks down on Lingshan, it's that he looks down on Buddhism.

Even if he wins the argument, it is impossible for the Buddhists in Lingshan to abandon the Buddhist teachings they have practiced for thousands of years and follow him to practice the consciousness-only teaching.

The reason why the Buddha was able to replace Hinayana with Mahayana at that time was, firstly, because he had the support of Taiqing Saint, and also because he was indeed better than the Great Sun Tathagata. Secondly, there were many Jiejiao disciples who were forcibly transferred to Lingshan at that time. As the senior brother of Jiejiao, his words are still effective.

But even so, Hinayana Buddhism still exists in the West, and its influence cannot be underestimated.

Otherwise, Fa Hai would not have been revered as the "Mahayana Heaven" of Mahayana Buddhism and the "Liberation Heaven" of Hinayana Buddhism since he debated scriptures at Lingshan. The Buddha even respected him as the "Sure and All-Knowing One" of Buddhism. In fact, he was also the "Heaven of Liberation". This identity, which is equivalent to the Buddha, allowed him to have a foundation to establish his own school in the Tang Dynasty. But even so, Fahai at that time only wanted to establish the Consciousness-only Sect under the Mahayana teachings.

But I didn't expect that the Jade Emperor finally issued an edict and pushed him further, directly establishing the consciousness-only teaching, which became one of the four major Buddhist teachings.

Although Heavenly Court and Taoism do not mind the prosperity of Buddhism, wouldn't it be an unexpected surprise if Buddhism is prosperous and they can also suppress Lingshan?

The Tathagata Buddha in Lingshan does not have a strong sense of belonging to Buddhism. It can even be said that he just sits in this position and fulfills his responsibilities. He has done everything he should do. Whether Buddhism is prosperous, No matter how weak he is, he now wants to hand over this big stall quickly so that he can regain his freedom.

But being a hands-off shopkeeper is not that easy.

The Jade Emperor has a close nephew like Yang Jian, who can Tathagata Buddha entrust to him?

If he can't find a suitable successor for us, how can he hand over Buddhism with confidence?

Although Saint Taiqing has left the Three Realms, who knows when he will come back. Moreover, when Taoist Duobao agreed to become the master of Lingshan, his own destiny was connected with Lingshan. It is not so easy to do so. Stripped out.

Why did Wen Zhong still serve as a minister in Dashang even though he knew about the catastrophe of becoming a god?

In fact, this is also true. He is the Grand Master of Dashang and a veteran of three dynasties. The fortune of Dashang is not even inferior to that of King Zhou. Therefore, after hearing that the Grand Master was killed in Juelongling, the fate of Dashang's country has changed. Then it plummeted.

Therefore, if Tathagata Buddha wants to leave Lingshan, the long-term plan is to find a qualified successor. In this way, he can legitimately leave Lingshan. Or, as he originally imagined, he can escape through reincarnation with the help of great catastrophes.

But the latter is obviously not as good as the former. Because there are too many variables in the catastrophe, and with his reincarnation, it is still a question whether he can survive until the end of the catastrophe, so he can never make a decision.

Until Master Tripitaka appeared, his eyes lit up.

In fact, Tathagata Buddha was not too optimistic about Jin Chanzi. Besides, he was causing trouble in Lingshan. He often debated sutras and arguments with Manjushri Bodhisattva, causing a lot of trouble in Lingshan.

Tathagata Buddha demoted him to the mortal world to reincarnate, firstly to punish him, and secondly because he wanted peace and quiet.

Facts have proved that the effect is remarkable.

Especially after Manjushri Bodhisattva entered reincarnation, Lingshan became more like a pure place of Buddhism.

All in all, because Tripitaka's performance during the Journey to the West greatly exceeded everyone's expectations, Tathagata Buddha decided to hand over Lingshan to Tripitaka and reincarnate himself.

It's a pity that Sanzang has made up his mind to carry out the surprise to the end.

Just like he did not accept the promotion of the great power of Lingshan, now Sanzang suddenly came to Lingshan to meet the Buddha, and he was not included in the calculation of the great power of the three realms.

"To be honest." Fahai and Buddha looked at each other, "The poor monk has never believed that Lingshan Buddhism can resist the invasion of demons in the devil world during the great calamity."

Fahai has always disliked lies, and he is not a hypocritical monk. Therefore, for all sentient beings in the world, Tripitaka Buddha is far more real than those illusory gods and Buddhas.

There is no doubt about this. There are not a few demons and demons in the Three Realms who have been "realized" by Tripitaka Buddha. Especially those who have been exterminated under the flames of the Great Sun Buddha must be deeply touched.

Even though he had expected it in his heart, the Tathagata Buddha's mood was slightly disturbed when he heard Tripitaka's words. His usually solemn face showed a rare hint of bitterness, "I didn't expect that the spiritual mountain is in your heart." , is so unbelievable.”

Fahai looked at Buddha curiously, "Does Buddha think Lingshan is trustworthy?"

Fahai pointed at the empty Great Leiyin Temple, "When the great catastrophe is approaching, the Buddha will be reincarnated to avoid the catastrophe, and almost all the monks in Lingshan will be sent away. The Buddhist temples in Xizhou will even be closed. Lingshan is like this. , I don’t know how the Buddha made the young monk believe it.”

Although he called out the Buddha's name, the Buddha felt that Sanzang had just cursed someone, and the curse was quite dirty.

After all, Fahai is a well-educated person. He lost his temper just now because he did not expect that the great Buddha would say such words. He inexplicably thought of what King Silver Horn said to him when he was on Pingding Mountain.

Now he was going to tell this story to Buddha.

"Does the Buddha know that when the young monk passed by the Lotus Cave in Pingding Mountain, he encountered two boys from Lao Jun's family blocking the way?" The Buddha nodded. He knew about this. The boys with golden horn and silver horn were killed and the other was injured. Lingshan fell. What a great favor. If Guanyin Bodhisattva hadn't been good at dancing, this matter wouldn't have been so easy for Laojun to get over.

After all, Lingshan planned the journey to the west, and Guanyin Bodhisattva invited the people. Originally, everyone was just discussing it for a formality, but who knew that Sanzang would take it seriously.

But no one could tell Sanzang that the journey to the West was just a show, and it could only be a fake show.

Fortunately, Sanzang was very measured in his actions along the way, and the demons who were saved had their own way to die. Even if Lingshan had to deal with some of the aftermath, it would not be a troublesome matter with Guanyin Bodhisattva around.

However, the matter between the Golden Horn and the Silver Horn is not a big deal. After all, before that, Sanzang personally saved Marshal Tianpeng who was demoted to the mortal world. Then the Bodhisattva was afraid that General Rolling Curtain would also be forcibly saved by Sanzang, so he took action first. , transform it.

As the deeds of Tripitaka Buddha spread throughout the three realms, he naturally admired Tripitaka Buddha more and more, and at the same time expressed repentance for his actions back then.

Therefore, King Silver Horn has become a living legend.

During these three hundred years, it was not that there were no demons who wanted to save him from trouble, but he remained unmoved.

The real hidden dangers are the little monsters who leaked the information. Ordinary people are no match for the monsters.

Even if all the countries in the world are prepared, it is difficult to take everything into consideration.

The Buddha fell into silence after listening to the words of Tripitaka Buddha, because what the other person said was all facts and irrefutable.

Hard "washing" only made me feel inferior.

But Fa Hai did not stop. He continued to say to the Buddha, "When King Yinjiao captured the young monk into the cave, he saw me reciting the scriptures silently, but asked a question. Does the Buddha know what he was asking?"

"What did he ask?" Buddha really didn't know about this matter. After Tripitaka transformed it into magic power with Buddhist teachings, he could no longer explore Tripitaka's whereabouts at will.

"He said, if it is useful for you to recite Buddha's name, you will not fall into my hands now." Fahai looked at the Buddha and asked him: "If the people of Xizhou fall into the hands of demons, will it be useful to recite Buddha's name?"

The Buddha fell silent. How should he answer?

"What do you think?" Tathagata Buddha asked Sanzang, "You are also a Buddha of the same religion. If the people of the Tang Dynasty were in trouble, would it be useful to chant your Buddha's name?"

"Of course it's useless if you just chant the Buddha's name in vain." Fahai replied matter-of-factly: "So when the young monk talks about Buddhism, he only asks them to worship the Buddha, and never allows them to worship the Buddha. So what about Xizhou Buddhism?"

Fahai didn't wait for the Buddha to speak, then continued, "So when Yinjiao asked this question to the young monk, the young monk also had doubts at the time, so he asked him, chanting Buddha's name is useless, what is the use of chanting?"

Buddha frowned slightly but remained silent.

Fahai continued: "Even though King Yinjiao was a boy under Laojun's family, at that time he was just a demon king who took over the mountain and became the king. The young monk just asked casually, but he didn't expect that he would actually get something."

"Oh?" Buddha became interested, "I wonder what he said?"

"He said, I found that you monks all have a problem. When you encounter difficulties, you chant Buddha and ask Bodhisattva for blessing. Don't you have legs? No hands? No brains? You only wait for Buddha and Bodhisattva to save you, and you never think of relying on yourself. Solve the problem?"

After saying that, Fahai paused for a moment and looked at Buddha, wanting to see what Buddha had to say about this. (End of chapter)
