"He said, if it is useful for you to recite Buddha's name, you will not fall into my hands now." Fahai looked at the Buddha and asked him: "If the people of Xizhou fall into the hands of demons, will it be useful to recite Buddha's name?"

"What do you think?" Tathagata Buddha asked Sanzang, "You are also a Buddha of the same religion. If the people of the Tang Dynasty were in trouble, would it be useful to chant your Buddha's name?"

"Of course it's useless if you just chant the Buddha's name in vain." Fahai replied matter-of-factly: "So when the young monk talks about Buddhism, he only asks them to worship the Buddha, and never allows them to worship the Buddha. So what about Xizhou Buddhism?"

Fahai didn't wait for the Buddha to speak, then continued, "So when Yinjiao asked this question to the young monk, the young monk also had doubts at the time, so he asked him, chanting Buddha's name is useless, what is the use of chanting?"

Buddha frowned slightly but remained silent.

Fahai continued: "Even though King Yinjiao was a boy under Laojun's family, at that time he was just a demon king who took over the mountain and became the king. The young monk just asked casually, but he didn't expect that he would actually get something."

"Oh?" Buddha became interested, "I wonder what he said?"

"He said, I found that you monks all have a problem. When you encounter difficulties, you chant Buddha and ask Bodhisattva for blessing. Don't you have legs? No hands? No brains? You only wait for Buddha and Bodhisattva to save you, and you never think of relying on yourself. Solve the problem?"
