Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1016 Candidates

“Prove that you are more professional than a student.”

Umbridge was stunned for a moment, she turned around and looked at the little wizards in the hall below. Many of them showed provocative expressions to her, some students simply expressed anger at her, of course, there were also some little wizards who lowered their heads guiltily after meeting her gaze. The parents of these children probably worked in the Ministry of Magic and knew very well the consequences of offending her.

"If what you mean is that I am no match for a group of young wizards who have not yet graduated, and Brian is incapable of teaching them, is that right?"

"I think you'd better not underestimate these outstanding young people who have come out of Hogwarts."

Amosta smiled.

"These children may be somewhat inexperienced, Ms. Umbridge -"

Dumbledore also said calmly,
"But they are undoubtedly more energetic. As Amosta said, it is irrational to underestimate them, and teaching them requires outstanding abilities."

The professors at the staff table puffed out their chests with pride, and none of them gave Umbridge a good look.

The clever children had already anticipated what was going to happen next, and except for a few students whose parents worked in the Ministry of Magic, all the students in the physical education class had excited expressions on their faces.

This is actual combat!
Ever since the physical education class was introduced, Professor Brain has been strictly controlling their behavior. He doesn't allow them to fight among themselves or use their wands when they have conflicts with classmates at school. They have never had any chance to show off, but now, they have a golden opportunity for them to show off, and the other party is the famous Senior Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Magic.

Lucius Malfoy looked at Umbridge, whose chest was rising and falling more and more rapidly, with a stern face, but he had already anticipated that Umbridge might be ruined.

Judging from his practice with Draco, if the students taught by Brian could reach Draco's level, they might win against Umbridge alone, but they would definitely not lose. If three or two of them attacked together, Umbridge would just be the one to be abused.

Lucius turned his head and gave a warning glare to Draco, who was also eager to try.

Umbridge was destined to lose, but whoever made her lose on this occasion would, as one could imagine, suffer Umbridge's crazy revenge, and Lucius would not allow Draco to be the first to take action.

"That's ridiculous!"

Unable to bear the insult, Umbridge looked at Amosta fiercely and shouted,
"You actually thought I couldn't handle a few kids, Brian!"

"Oh, fur kid?"

Harry had already begun to roll up his sleeves, his green eyes fixed firmly on Umbridge above the hall like a lone wolf.
"I want to let her have a taste of how powerful a furry kid is. Please, if Professor Brian doesn't choose me to play, I will hate him forever."

"So, are you going to give it a try, Madam Umbridge?"

Amosta smiled leisurely,

"Oh, these kids usually practice in groups of three, fighting as a team. Of course, this may not be fair to you, so if you can hold on for more than a minute, I will recognize that you have the ability to teach little wizards."

Hold on for a minute?!
Umbridge was so angry that her hair stood on end. She knew very well that she was no match for Brian, but Brian actually treated her magic so lightly. Even if we put aside the grudges between the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts, she absolutely could not tolerate it!

"Come on then, Blaine, do as you say, and I will show you what a senior official of the Ministry of Magic is capable of."

Umbridge said in a sinister tone.

"Oh, but you'd better prepare a stretcher in advance!"

"Ah, that is indeed sound advice."

Amosta smiled and tilted his head to look at Madam Pomfrey.

"Would you mind preparing a stretcher for Madam Umbridge, Madam Pomfrey?"

The laughter of the young wizards even shook the windows of the auditorium, and even many professors laughed out loud.

Amosta ignored Umbridge's murderous expression, and ignored Dumbledore's reminder to him to control the situation. Under Umbridge's grim gaze, Amosta walked out from behind the faculty table, clapped his hands twice, and the messy food on the four long tables disappeared instantly.

The little wizards stood up one after another, and the tables and long benches in front of them slowly floated above everyone's heads. After a series of complex aggregation and transformation, a huge stage landed on the ground.

Now, it was time to choose an opponent for the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Magic.

Needless to say, the young wizards all understood that Professor Brian would definitely pick his physical education students, and Amosita did indeed plan to do so.

His indifferent eyes wandered over the crowded little wizards, the best ones in the previous physical education class, such as Harry from Gryffindor, Cedric from Hufflepuff, and Draco from Slytherin.
He excluded all these people, and the reason was simple. Umbridge was bound to hate the person who embarrassed her today, and Cedric's father worked in the Ministry of Magic, so letting Draco take the stage was completely a trap for Lucius.

As for Harry, Amosstar of course noticed Harry's extremely eager eyes. Letting Harry play could indeed better stimulate Umbridge and prompt the Ministry of Magic to make the final stupid move, but Amosstar would not let Harry play. He had to consider the risk of him losing control.

"Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood!"

Amosta's calm voice echoed throughout the auditorium, triggering cheers and shouts of dissatisfaction that intertwined in the auditorium, shaking the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and making them clang.

"Quiet!"

Amosta said with dignity, turning to face Umbridge who was looking at him coldly.

"These three students are my teaching assistants. They will be responsible for testing you."

Students responsible for testing
Umbridge's bulging eyes no longer revealed anger, but murderous intent. She didn't even bother to say a word. She took out her wand from her pink coat pocket and strode towards the stage. However, she encountered some minor difficulties when she went on stage.

The stage that Amosita had conjured up was too difficult for her short and stocky figure. She couldn't jump onto it at all, so she could only wave her magic wand to pull out a step from the air to help herself get on the stage. This action caused contemptuous laughter from the little wizards, especially the students in the physical education class.

"If you can't get her down within ten seconds, Hermione—"

Harry, still feeling resentful, pulled Hermione out and said through gritted teeth,

"Then I will"

"That's it, Harry?"

Hermione also had a frosty look on her face, but she seemed calm.
"You'll never copy my homework again?"

Harry was speechless.

Shaking off Harry's hand, Hermione walked towards the stage with her head held high. Before Professor Braine called the names, she was mentally prepared to go on stage.
Professor Brain wanted to teach Umbridge a lesson, but he couldn't choose young wizards who were too impulsive, like Harry, nor could he choose those who worked in the Ministry or whose families were too closely connected with the Ministry. In this way, all the Slytherins were basically excluded. As for those who had the ability to excel in physical education classes and be representative, she, Neville and Luna, who were the most suitable teaching assistants, were the most suitable.

"Hey, it's your turn to show up, Neville!"

Ron withdrew his envious gaze from Hermione's back and looked at Neville who was stroking something around his waist. In the past, Neville's confusion made Ron subconsciously show a horrified expression.

"You didn't lose your wand?"

"Oh, of course not--"

Neville seemed to have found something and tugged at the bag under his wizard robe. He showed a smile that was different from the lively smile he had had recently, and said cheerfully to all the Gryffindor classmates who urged him,

"Look, I'm going to cut her."

Then, like Hermione, he walked towards the stage with high spirits and jumped up easily. On the other side of the stage, Luna, with a circle of butter beer iron cap tied around her neck, flashed her smart silver eyes, hummed a little tune, and jumped up and down to meet Hermione and Neville.
