Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1106 Eavesdropping

As the organization led by Dumbledore to resist Voldemort, and perhaps the only organization currently fighting against him, the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix - Grimmauld Place is undoubtedly very busy.

During the days Harry has been here, he has seen many familiar and unfamiliar faces passing by here.

After seeing the famous Harry Potter, some people would always come forward to talk to him enthusiastically and comfort him about the trial.

Harry also agreed that he would be happy to talk more with these backbones of the resistance against Voldemort, but every time he asked them what they were doing.

These wizards who were very friendly to him immediately kept silent and just smiled at him friendly.

Even with some close friends like Sirius, he would always change the subject to prevent them from knowing too much.

On Friday night, when the Order of the Phoenix was to hold a serious meeting, Mrs. Weasley did not even let them go downstairs for dinner, but brought it directly upstairs for them.

boom!
"Perhaps you wouldn't be so vigilant against Death Eaters!"

Amid Ron's angry shouting, Mrs. Weasley closed the door coldly.

"Give it up, Ron."

Harry sat at the desk by the window, looking at the sun and moon that appeared near the horizon at the same time, and said blankly,
"If Sirius doesn't agree to our attending the secret meeting of the Order of the Phoenix, I don't expect others to show mercy."

Ron sniffed angrily, took the dinner tray and put it roughly on the bedside table between the two beds, then fell onto the bed.

A moment later, Ron suddenly howled without any warning. He wrapped his head with the quilt and rolled around on the bed.

Hermione was sitting on the floor reading a newspaper. She had now completely regarded looking for clues in the newspaper as a form of entertainment.

Hearing Ron's howl, Hermione raised her head calmly. She lifted her hair, and the red-gold evening light shone on her profile, making her pretty face look mature, which neither Harry nor Ron had.

"Have you finally gone mad, Weasley?"

call!
Ron suddenly jumped up from the bed and wailed,

"Even if we are not allowed to attend the meeting, we should at least be allowed to go out for a walk, even if it's just walking around in the shabby square outside. We can't be trapped in this house for the entire summer vacation!"

"I'm sorry, this is all because of me."

Harry woke up from his chaotic thoughts. He was still a little dazed and spoke absentmindedly.

"You know this isn't all your fault, Harry."

Hermione first looked at Ron reproachfully, then said to Harry calmly,
"You're not the only one in danger, Harry. This is a very dangerous situation for everyone."

Hermione stopped talking halfway and squinted her eyes at Harry who was in a trance.

Harry's brain's defense mechanism was ready for Hermione's endless preaching, but the incongruity of the senses caused by the silence beside him brought him back to his senses from his trance. When he noticed Hermione's inquiring gaze, his heart skipped a beat.
"What's wrong, Hermione?"

"Oh, nothing."

Hermione was still looking at Harry suspiciously.

"It's just that...you seem troubled, Harry?"

Ron, who had droopy eyelids and looked sleepy, rolled his eyes when he heard this.
"You're talking nonsense, Hermione."

Hermione did not respond to Ron's sarcasm, but just looked at Harry with raised eyebrows, while Harry pursed his lips, feeling conflicted.

"That's actually true"

After a little hesitation, Harry decided to tell Hermione and Ron about the clear corridor and the door at the end of the corridor that appeared in his dreams in recent days. He had no reason to keep it secret from Hermione and Ron.

Squeak!

At this moment, the door of the room was suddenly pushed open, and Ginny walked in breathlessly. She looked around the room and saw that Harry and the other two were not doing anything serious, so she smiled slyly.

"If anyone wants to have some fun, they can come with me."

"What good ideas do you have?"

Ron looked at his little sister with distrust.

"What if I give Fred and George free guinea pigs again?"

Harry also stopped talking and looked at Ginny, and suddenly realized that Ginny always liked to wear her light gray-green nightgown with suspenders and tulle sewn on it recently.

"Oh, it does have something to do with Fred and George."

Ginny said with a smile,
"But this time, I think the two of them really invented something amazing. If you want to see it, come and see it. If I hadn't discovered their sneaky little tricks in the kitchen before, they would have kept it a secret!"

Ginny's mysterious appearance piqued the appetite of Harry and the other two, so they all got up anxiously and followed Ginny to the fourth floor in a hurry.

The words on the iron plate embedded on Fred and George's room door were changed by the two of them to "Studying hard, please do not disturb."

This caused Hermione to chuckle twice.

"Tell me your name!"

When Ginny knocked on the brothers' doors, a voice that was not sure whether it was Fred or George rang out in the room. "It's me!"

Ginny cried in a strangled voice,

"I brought them here!"

The door opened after a few seconds. Harry jumped over and looked into the room. The dimness inside made Harry feel uncomfortable.

The sun had already set completely below the horizon, and Fred and George had not turned on a single light. Not only that, they had drawn the curtains to block out the moonlight and the glare from the street lamps outside.

"What the hell are you doing?"

Ron frowned as he looked at Fred who opened the door.
“Why don’t you turn on the light?”

"Oh, of course a bit of mystery is needed to do this kind of thing, my stupid brother!"

Fred said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Harry stumbled over something on the floor as he entered the room, but Ginny stepped in his way.

"Oh, sorry--"

The instant he felt the softness and fresh fragrance in her arms made Harry's blood boil, but the next second, he stood up straight as if by reflex.

"Um--"

The darkness concealed Ginny's red cheeks, and her voice was as thin as the flapping of a mosquito's wings.

There were a lot of scattered debris on the floor, presumably the work of Fred and George. Harry carefully moved over and with the dim light coming in through the open door, he saw George sitting on the bed with his back to them, seemingly fiddling with something.

Click!

Fred closed the door, and the room fell into complete darkness. But Fred immediately took out his wand and let the tip of the wand emit a little light that was much fainter than the candlelight.
"If it weren't for our observant little sister, you wouldn't have had the opportunity to see such a great epoch-making product so early!"

Ron curled his lips in disdain and was about to say something sarcastic, but George on the bed suddenly straightened up and put something into his ears.
"It's done!"

George said.

Ginny and Fred both threw themselves beside George, picked up a small object from the quilt, and excitedly stuffed it into their ears.

"Please allow me to introduce to you our masterpiece - the monitoring ear!"

George grinned.
"In fact, we originally decided to call it the retractable ear. We almost finished the first version in the fifth grade, but Professor Brian's surveillance mirror gave us some inspiration. After a difficult improvement process, the finished product was finally completed!"

"To thank Professor Brian for his inspiration, we borrowed the name of the surveillance mirror he invented!"

Fred also said excitedly.

In the darkness, Harry, Hermione and Ron looked at each other.

Monitoring mirror and monitoring ears.
Suddenly, at one moment, three people rushed to George's bed at the same time.

Harry couldn't wait to put a soft little object he touched from the bedding into his ears. The first thing that came into his ears was the sound of clinking cutlery.

"Isn't Amosta coming?"

A voice said.

"It's Bill's voice!"

Ron was stunned.

"He's also in the Order of the Phoenix?"

A group of people, including Harry, glared at Ron and signaled him to shut up. There was a hissing sound in the sound coming from the surveillance ear, which was not particularly clear.

"He sent me a message saying it would be late."

Another voice answered, and Harry could tell it was Mrs. Weasley's.

"Where's Snotlout? He's going to give a report today, isn't he?"

Sirius' voice was full of obvious contempt for Professor Snape.
"I hope he can say something useful, otherwise I don't welcome him into my house."

boom!
There was a slight explosion.

"Your house? That doesn't tally with some of the rumors I've heard, Blake, and from what I understand--"

Snape's cold and sarcastic voice fell into Harry's ears.

"The house now belongs to Amosta."
