"Fire?! Did anyone get hurt?!" Liu Xiaozhu jumped up anxiously and asked.

"Here is the report from the governor of Hezhong County!" Zhang Qian held up the bamboo tube containing the urgent report.

Liu Xiaozhu hurriedly removed the seal and took out the slip.

"Mother, there were [-] casualties in the fire in Hezhong County. Thousands of houses were burned down. The livestock and food are yet to be counted... How could there be such a disaster!" Liu Xiaozhu had a serious look on his face.

"Cheer, don't be anxious! Send an imperial envoy to inspect the disaster situation, appease the people, and provide relief to the victims to show the emperor's kindness." Wang Quan hurriedly comforted his son.

"I have just arranged for these veterans to prepare for "correcting Shuo, changing sex, and respecting Confucianism." They are all busy with this matter... I have been appointed as an imperial envoy to inspect the disaster on my behalf!"

"Didn't Ji An be thrown to Yangling by Che'er to guard the mausoleum for your father? That's fine. He worries about the country and the people all day long. Compared with Yuan An, he has a cold and sharp face and curses Confucian scholars as "corrupt Confucians"! All ministers Among them, no one can escape his verbal punishment..."

Wang Quan thought, "Ji An worships Huang Lao and hates Confucianism. He also likes to give direct advice to the court. If he stays in the court, he will definitely slander the king's respect for Confucianism. Let him hold the talisman to act according to the situation, and he can adjust the official position. Money and food, provide timely relief to the people! Fire and water are merciless, I don’t know how miserable the victims are..." As she said this, she sighed deeply.

Liu Xiaozhu nodded: "I'll call him back now, kid, and get out of the capital as soon as possible! Fortunately, it's midsummer, and there's still time to build a house in preparation for the cold winter."

It is not accidental that Confucianism can enter the society. Liu Bang, the emperor of the Han Dynasty, recruited Confucianism during the conflict between Chu and Han. Shusun Tong, Lu Jia and others were all Confucian scholars.

At first, the great ancestor Liu Bang, who had a chivalrous spirit, hated the gibberish of Confucianism and its talk of benevolence and morality. He even threw the Confucian scholar's hat on the ground and peed in it. Lu Jia, the counselor beside him, asked him: "The emperor can conquer the world on horseback, can he still rule the world on horseback? Only by using both civil and military forces can the country maintain long-term peace and stability."

The Han Dynasty was decided, but what troubled Gaozu the most was that the gang of heroes who slaughtered dogs and mourned their backgrounds did not take the emperor seriously, but still kept their friendship with him and were close friends. In the palace hall, he got drunk, screamed, and chopped down pillars with his sword! When I go out, I lift my pants and urinate randomly!

Liu Bang asked what to do? Shu Sun Tong replied: Standard. Design court rituals and use the complicated Confucian etiquette to regulate the words and deeds of courtiers.

Shusuntong was a doctor of Confucianism in the Qin Dynasty. He followed Qin II, Xiang Liang, and King Huai of Chu throughout his life. Finally, after Han King Liu Bang captured Pengcheng, he switched to the Han army and stayed with him for the rest of his life.

Liu Bang, the king of Han, asked his uncle Sun Tong to recommend talented people to him. Shusun Tong knew that Confucian scholars could not do the work of killing enemies and conquering cities, so he praised the bravery of Fan Kuai, Zhou Bo, Guan Ying and others. When the world was peaceful, he knew that it was time for his Confucianism and Confucian scholars to appear.

Shusun Tong kept changing owners, which showed a lack of shame from the perspective of Confucian dogma. So he returned to Lu and summoned Confucian scholars to formulate etiquette standards for Gao Zu. Some Confucian scholars ridiculed him.

Shusun Tong said with a smile: "You are really shallow and pedantic Confucian scholars, you don't understand the development and changes of the current situation!"

Shu Suntong recruited more than thirty Confucian scholars to show off their skills. He established dozens of ceremonial officers with various names to perform their duties. It also guided and admonished the officials, making the whole ceremony cumbersome and orderly. The officials kowtowed and toasted to Liu Bang in turn according to their titles. Any official who violates this set of rules will be pulled out and punished.

After a whole set of tedious etiquette, the courtiers were all frightened, solemn and quiet. Seeing such a scene, the great ancestor Liu Bang couldn't help but sigh: "I just realized the joy of being an emperor today!"

When Emperor Xiaowen was in power, the young genius Jia Yi wrote frequently, and "On the Passage of Qin" was regarded as a classic. Jia Sheng had no talent, but he was ostracized by the meritorious group, and he was depressed throughout his life.

Chao Cuo, who was known as a think tank, was appointed by Emperor Wen to worship the great Confucian Fu Sheng as his teacher. He learned the essence of Confucianism and became the teacher of Emperor Xiaojing Liu Qi. It's just that Empress Dowager Dou liked Huang Lao, and Liu Qi had no choice but to respect Huang Lao in order to make his mother happy.

The poor national conditions of the people in the early Han Dynasty made the Taoist philosophy of "governing by doing nothing and resting with the people" adopted by the kings of the early Han Dynasty.

Taoism emphasizes "doing nothing without doing anything" and pursues "ruling a big country like cooking small delicacies". That is to say, governing a big country is like cooking small fish and shrimps. It can only be simmered over a slow fire and cannot be stir-fried over a high fire. "It's better to be still than to move." Even if we want to take action, we will do so only when the time comes. This is a kind of "active and inaction" philosophy of governing the country.

"Governing by doing nothing" indulges the arrogance of powerful families to a greater extent, making the poor poorer, the rich richer, the number of refugees increasing, and social unrest...

Yao Weng said that the Han family, starting from Liu Xiaozhu, pursued the philosophy of "external Confucianism and internal law".

"External Confucianism and Internal Dharma" is a carrot in one hand and a stick in the other. It has obvious effects, is both economical and practical, and the rulers would be fools if they do not vigorously promote it.

Governing the country with "External Confucianism and Internal Law" has since penetrated into the DNA of rulers of all generations, and they have been creatively learned and applied. The integration of Confucianism and Legalism deepened, and Confucian ethics even invaded legal provisions. Liu Xiaozhu promoted the "Spring and Autumn Jue Prison" and said that "rituals and punishments should be used together".

To put it more clearly, Confucian rituals and music are the foundation for educating people's hearts, and laws and regulations can only serve as an afterthought. Laws and regulations keep the bottom line, and Confucianism sticks to morality. Obviously, Legalism can only "treat the symptoms", while Confucianism can "treat the root cause".

Implement the basic national policy of "Confucianism on the outside and law on the inside", which is round on the outside and square on the inside. Confucianism is the foundation and law is the core. Confucianism decorates the facade, while Legalism hides it deeply; Confucianism is a beautiful coat, and Legalism is a considerate cotton-padded jacket. With this combination of strength and softness, the empire no longer looks like a green-faced fang, but instead looks tender and affectionate.

When Liu Xiaozhu is in power, there are two internal affairs issues that need to be resolved urgently: one is livelihood, and the other is education. To solve the livelihood problem, we need to equalize land rights and control capital. If you want to equalize land rights and educate people well, it is better than Confucianism, which practices Confucianism, advocates benevolent governance, and praises the six arts; if you want to control capital, it is better than Legalism, which is harsh and strict, and cuts the rich and oppresses the strong.

Wang Da was sitting in front of the spinning wheel, thinking about something, when his uncle Tian Fu entered the Jiaofang Hall.

"I see the Queen Mother!"

Seeing Tian Fu's flattering smile, Wang Quan pointed to the couch.

"Eldest sister, my mother asked my younger brother to take the message. She misses her grandson..."

"Then please invite my mother to come into the palace! Come and see Yue'er and Ji'er." Wang Ao knew that after the death of his sister Wang Haoshen, Mrs. Zang had been concerned about the two children she left behind.

"Yue'er has reached the age of seven. The Ai family asked the emperor to make him the king of Guangchuan. According to the ancestral system, he can go to the fiefdom." Wang Quan said, shaking the spinning wheel.

"Sister, is there anyone who can be chosen as the Prime Minister of Guangchuan?" Tian Fu hurriedly approached his sister.

"Do you have anyone to recommend?" Wang Quan glanced at him, "Last time you gave the Ai family a list of more than eighty people, plus the recommendations of the courtiers, these more than two hundred people are all virtuous? The Ai family appointed people Copying it onto cloth, reading it day by day, thinking about it night by night, I discovered that they are all intricately connected to several powerful families in the capital! This exchange of interests and mutual support is amazing to the Ai family!"

"This..." Tian Fu was tongue-tied and smiled coquettishly, "Sister, you are smart! No one is embarrassed to directly recommend their own relatives... You recommend my children, I recommend his children, he recommends your children..."

What a perfect closed loop of interests!

Wang Quan stood up from the spinning wheel and sat in front of the desk, "Yes, no one will suffer! The Ai family said that when recommending talents, you should not avoid relatives. You can also recommend your own children, there is no need to go around in circles like this!"

"The more than two hundred people you recommend, the Aijia must carefully examine them. As long as they are virtuous, they can all join the official ranks." "The first one is that the virtues are superb and the moral integrity is pure; the second one is that he has learned a lot and practiced cultivation, and he is a doctor in the scriptures; the third one is that he understands the laws and regulations. "Sufficient to resolve doubts, able to answer questions according to the chapter, the censor in the article; the fourth is to be resolute and multi-strategic, not confused when encountering problems, and clear enough to make decisions, only then can he be appointed as the third assistant order, all of whom have the conduct of filial piety and integrity."

"Eldest sister... Queen Mother, I know it!" Tian Fu saw his sister's expression turning dark and hurriedly responded solemnly.

"Guangchuan Kingdom has two thousand officials. The Ai family needs to find some loyal elders for Yue'er to assist in the administration!"

"I think so too. I am also the uncle of King Guangchuan! In my humble opinion, Wang Zang, the senior official, can be the Prime Minister of Guangchuan..."

"Wang Zang? He and Zhao Wan both studied under Duke Lu Shen, right?" Wang Quan sneered in his heart.

As a descendant of a noble family in Qi, Tian Fu's move was to squeeze out Lu Xue and wanted to squeeze Lu Xue out of the central court.

Confucianism can be divided into Qi school and Lu school. The state of Lu is the birthplace of Confucianism. Confucius was from the state of Lu, and "Spring and Autumn" is the history book of the state of Lu. In terms of cultural transmission method, the spread of Confucianism in the Lu region was "intra-regional spread", so "Lu Xue" is close to the Confucian tradition; while "Qi Xue" is a regional variant that emerged after Confucianism was introduced to the Qi region. It belongs to the "cross-regional communication" in the way of cultural communication.

Qi school advocates contingency, while Lu school is relatively traditional. The main idea of Lu Xue is Confucianism, which also includes Mohism. Qi School is dominated by Confucianism, with Taoism, Legalism, Military Strategies, Yin-Yang and Five Elements Theory, etc., and is represented by Jixia School.

Shusun Tong, who formulated etiquette for the great ancestor Liu Bang, is a representative figure of Qi learning. Mencius during the Warring States Period was a representative figure of Lu Xue. Up to this time, Duke Shen of Lu was the representative of Lu School, and Dong Zhongshu was the representative of Qi School.

Lu Xue and Qi Xue have different inheritances of each other's teachings. The Qi school pushed forward yin and yang, talked about disasters and phenomena, and studied the reactions between heaven and man. Its theory was more radical and exaggerated than the Lu school. Lu Xue is famous for its rigor and honesty.

The factional struggle in the court is not only an academic dispute, but also a power struggle.

As a person in power, I don't want to see the fight between my ministers, but I need the fight between my ministers to achieve some kind of balance.

"Fu'er, let's put aside the matter of the Prime Minister of Guangchuan for a while. How is the matter going on that the emperor arranged for several auxiliary ministers to handle?" Wang Ao asked lightly.

"Prime Minister Wei and Dong Zhongshu worked with Qin Tianjian to change the calendar and make the Taichu calendar; Prime Minister Dou and the Supervisor of Ceremonies changed the color and established the rank; Yushi Zhi and Chief Secretary Ning Cheng revised the laws and regulations and made the Jue Prison; The minister established the Imperial Academy, promoted the six arts, and deposed hundreds of schools..."

"There is no need to depose the Baijia." Wang Ao interrupted Tian Fu, "Just use Confucianism as the way to get an official position. Let the Baijia be left to fend for themselves!"

"The Changling Emperor Gaozu Cemetery is on fire!"

After hearing that the Changling governor came to report, Wang Quan fell down on the couch.

"Are there any casualties?!" she asked hurriedly.

"Reporting to the Queen Mother, there was a fire in the bedroom. The fire was put out in time, and no one was injured or injured... I have neglected my duty, please punish the Queen Mother!" Yi Shou kowtowed to the ground.

"Can the cause of the fire be found out?"

"It was caused by the incense candle being poured on the incense table and setting the curtain on fire..."

"The guard failed in his duties and was killed with a stick as a warning!" Wang Quan shouted, turned to the palace people and said, "Go and invite the emperor!"

"The emperor went to Shanglinyuan and has not yet returned to the palace..." The palace man knelt down and replied.

Wang Ao slapped the case: "Send someone to Shanglin Garden to bring the emperor back to the Ai family!"

Wang Quan was anxious as he turned around hurriedly. It was July, and it was approaching the time of offering sacrifices in August, but the Changling Cemetery caught fire, which inevitably made the princes and ministers suspicious.

The maid Ning'er hurriedly brought tea. Wang Quan drank the tea, but she couldn't suppress the fire in her heart.

Liu Xiaozhu, Liu Xiaozhu, am I pampering you too much? We have gone hunting in Shanglin Garden for three days and still want to have fun and never come back! Is hunting more important than the country? ! It’s time for me to crack down on the young man’s temperament and make you restrain yourself!
It wasn't until late at night that Liu Xiaozhu rushed back after a long journey.

"Mother!" Seeing Wang Quan standing in the Qingliang Hall of Weiyang Palace on a midsummer night, covered in cold air, Liu Xiaozhu couldn't help but kneel down.

"Mother! I know I'm wrong! I know I'm wrong!"

"What did the Ai family tell you?" Wang Quan screened the crowd and asked in a cold voice.

"The mother ordered the child..." Liu Xiaozhu lay on the ground, swallowed his saliva, and murmured, "Hunting is not allowed to disturb the people...it will not be more than three days after leaving the palace..."

"As an emperor, the king of a country, you actually put the country and the country aside, abandoning the life of your mother! Are you qualified to be a king and a son? Are you waiting for someone to come and punish the people?" Wang Ao gritted his teeth. question.

"The child knows his mistake..." Liu Xiaozhu fell to the ground and cried, "There was a fire in Hezhong County and a fire in the Changling Emperor Gaozu Cemetery. Is this a punishment for the child..."

"Punishment..." Wang Quan sneered. What she was worried about was someone talking about "punishment".

The ancients had to ask divination for everything. She, a woman who was praised as "the emperor", "brought auspiciousness" when she entered the palace, and was falsely accused of being a "witch", knew this very well.

Dong Zhongshu's "Three Strategies of Heaven and Man", while boasting about "influence from heaven and man" and "divine authority of kings", also took the prophecies of Yin-Yang and Taoism to the extreme!

He is the Son of Heaven, representing the herdsmen of Heaven. The Son of Heaven governs, and the Emperor of Heaven watches the battle. If he does a good job, the Emperor of Heaven will praise him and bring him auspiciousness. If you dare to act recklessly, God will be angry and send you disasters to warn you of God’s condemnation!

These corrupt Confucians preached that all disasters in the world were caused by the failure of people to cultivate their virtues. They wanted to "use Confucianism to control the emperor" and relied on the power of heaven and earth to limit imperial power.

The logic is that the emperor must listen to God, and God is shaped according to Confucianism, and Confucianism has the right to interpret it. In the final analysis, the emperor still had to listen to Confucianism. In other words, Confucianism serves as the standard for judging right and wrong and becomes the thought that unifies the world.

In later generations, there was Wang Mang, who wore the cloak of Confucianism, wore a high moral hat, and held up the banner of "defeating the people and punishing crimes". He replaced the Han Dynasty with a new dynasty and broke the Liu Han Dynasty into two parts, the Western Han Dynasty and the Eastern Han Dynasty!
She, Wang Quan, would never let this happen if she insulted the people and punished them!
How can Confucianism, Taoism, Legalism, and hundreds of other schools of thought be able to override the imperial power? ! They are all used by the rulers to serve the imperial power!
If it is useful to me, keep it; if it is useless to me, throw it away! As a ruler, you must use imperial power to integrate hundreds of schools of thought into a suture monster, that is - a practical expert!
