Blood of the True Dragon
Chapter 24 kill them!
Chapter 24 kill them!
The morning light penetrated the clouds in the sky and poured on the blood-red bricks of Astapor. The dew soaked these bricks, making their crimson color more vivid.
This is Astapor, forged in blood!
When Aegon came from the port to Astapor, the road was already crowded with slaves and slave traders.
Hearing that the king of the sunset kingdom bought all the Unsullied, the rest of the slave traders in Astapor wanted to ask Aegon to buy bed slaves and other slaves from them.
Some noble people from Astapor came here to see the dragon eggs.
The dragons had been gone for hundreds of years, and Valyrian enslavement of the Ghisians had ended after the Doom.
But for the Guggis of Slaver's Bay, dragons live in their nightmares forever.
It was the fear that ran in his blood.
They wanted to see the silvery-haired Valyrian dragonlords abandon their proud dragons.
Even though it was only three dragon eggs, they were still extremely excited.
Daenerys, who was wearing a purple gauze robe, followed Aegon. Seeing so many slave traders and their slave soldiers, she couldn't help but panic.
She could only keep telling herself that even for these innocent slaves, she had to become stronger.
Only in this way can she refrain from thinking about how many armies these slave traders have, otherwise she will be afraid that she will not be able to lift a dagger later.
As if sensing that Daenerys was afraid, Aegon deliberately walked to the side and took Daenerys' left hand.
The Pride Square was too small to accommodate all the Unsullied, so the place of the transaction was changed to the Punishment Square, facing the main city gate of Astapor. Once the transaction was completed, Aegon could take them out of the city directly.
There are no bronze statues here, just a wooden platform where rebellious slaves were tortured, skinned and strangled.
"Good lords put it here, so that it will be the first thing new slaves see when they come into town," Missandei told Aegon when they came to the square.
A row of slaves lay on the wooden platform, their skins had been peeled off in long curls like peeling apples, and green flies and maggots were rolling in the red flesh.
Daenerys saw these stomachs churning, she quickly turned her head and couldn't bear to look any further, and continued walking towards the expensive army in the middle of the square.
Row after row of Unsullied stood, each of them an inhuman stone.
A total of 5000 Unsullied who had fully trained and earned spiked helmets, plus [-] more bareheaded trainees armed with spears and short swords. The ones at the back she saw in the distance were only children, but they stood as straight and motionless as the others.
Krazny and his companions are waiting here.
Other nobleborn Astapori stood in clusters behind the great slave traders, sipping red wine from silver goblets, while slaves weaved among them, carrying trays of olives, cherries, and figs.
These slave owners all looked at Daenerys jokingly, their eyes full of playfulness.
Krazny looked at Aegon with a smile and turned to tell Missandei, "Tell him that they belong to him, as long as he can pay the bill."
"He can." The girl said.
Aegon waved his hand. Boxes of gold, agate, and spices were brought up. There were 50 gold dragon coins, 46 boxes of agate, [-] boxes of spices, [-] boxes of pepper, more than [-] boxes of pearls, some Ivory products.Besides, there are many, many other things.
Aegon's men lined them up before the slave traders.
During the delivery, Krazny gave him one last instruction on how to restrain the troops.
"They're still tender," he said through Missandei. "Tell the stupid pigs in Westeros to give them some combat experience first, if you're wise.
On his way back west there were many small cities, good for looting and taking whatever booty he got, for the Unsullied had no desire for money or jewels.
The captured prisoners can be escorted back to Astapor with a team of guards. We will buy the healthy ones at favorable prices.
Who knows?Maybe ten years from now, the boy he sent us will become the Unsullied in turn, a virtuous cycle. This is good for everyone. "
Finally, when there was nothing more to add to the pile, a few Unsullied ambled up, carrying a bronze-trimmed cedar box.
After opening it, the eyes of these slave owners were straightened. It was filled with the finest velvet and brocade that the Free Trade Cities could produce... and there were three huge eggs lying on it.
Aegon looked at the other party and said slowly, "The dragon egg is here! The deal is complete!"
The slave master gave him the whip in return. The handle of the whip was finely carved black keel, inlaid with gold, and attached to nine slender leather strips, each tipped with a gilded claw.
The golden ball behind the handle was the head of a woman with sharp ivory teeth.
Krazny called the whip "Finger of the Harpy".
Aegon twisted the whip in his hand: "Is the deal done?"
"It's a deal, but I want her to show me the dragon egg!" Grazdan pointed at Daenerys with a pointed beard and grinned.
As if he could rape Daenerys through the silk clothes on Daenerys through his eyes.
Aegon turned his head to look at Daenerys, and Daenerys then nodded towards Aegon, stepped forward and slowly picked up the dragon egg.
Then Aegon turned, too, and raised the Harpy's Finger above his head for all the Unsullied to see.
"It's a deal!" Aegon yelled with full breath:
"You are mine now! You are already the subjects of the real dragon! You have been bought, and the bill has been paid! The deal is done!"
Aegon shouted in Valyrian, and the old slave master Graztan turned his head and glanced at Aegon.
But the other slave traders didn't care. They gathered around Krazny, grinning at Daenerys who was holding the dragon egg.
It was a deep black dragon egg, as deep as the midnight ocean, but there were vibrant dark red waves and eddies, and the surface was covered with thumb-sized scales.
Then Daenerys jerked the egg down, pulled out the dragonbone dagger from a ball of velvet, and slashed hard at Krazny's neck.
The sharp Valyrian steel sliced through Krazny's throat like paper.
Bright red blood gushes out from the trachea.
Krazny's sharp pupils were wide open, and he desperately covered the wound on his throat with his hands, stepping back in pain.
He tried hard to speak out, but he still couldn't speak a word, more like a silent hoarseness.
The two guards behind rushed towards Daenerys immediately, but Jorah blocked them.
Jorah Mormont stooped and moved, cutting down a guard with a single blow of his sword.
Punishment Square immediately plunged into blood and chaos.
The good lords behind screamed and staggered against each other, tripping over the tassels of their tokar robes in their haste.
A third of the demon-horned, proud warriors of Astapor's nobles tried to reassure their terrified mounts, while another third fled in all directions, their bright copper-plated cloaks glinting behind them.
The rest chose to attack Aegon and the others, Belwas drew out his scimitar and swiftly killed the two warriors.
Jon Connington also raised his sword and swung it at the slave owners wearing tassels.
"Pick up the spear!" Old Grazdan, the slave master, yelled at the Unsullied below.
"The Unsullied! Protect us, stop them, protect your master! Take the spear! Take the short sword!"
Aegon took the spear from the Unsullied beside him and threw it towards the opponent, piercing the opponent's throat, and the slaves carrying the sedan chair scattered and threw him on the ground.
The old man crawled up to the first row of eunuchs, his blood pooling on the brick floor, but the Unsullied didn't even bow their heads.Row after row of them stood... motionless.
"The Unsullied!" Aegon yelled, raising the Harpy Finger in his hand.
"Kill the good Lord, kill the soldiers, kill everyone who wears a toka or carries a whip, but spare no child under the age of 12, and cut the chains of every slave."
Aegon raised the Finger of the Harpy in the air and dropped it viciously: "For freedom!
kill them! kill them! "
"Kill them!" the Unsullied shouted, poking their spears.
"Kill them! Kill them!"
Slave traders fled and wept and begged and died all around them, spears and blood filling the dusty air.
Some slave owners wanted the slave soldiers to resist, but were killed by the other party. The rest of the slave owners were even more frightened when they saw this, and did not dare to approach the slaves they had enslaved in the past.
When the shackles were broken, these slaves became even crazier, and the beasts in their hearts were also released, venting their hatred towards the slave owners crazily.
