Chapter 671: Find someone quickly
"But..." Wang Qiang wanted to say something else, but was stopped by Director Li's look.

"Don't worry about it, just find someone quickly!" Director Li said, then turned around and continued walking towards the depths of the forest.

Wang Qiang was helpless and could only sigh and call on the crew to continue searching.

Just then, Director Li's cell phone suddenly rang.

Director Li was delighted, thinking it was Lin Ke or Wang Xinxin calling, so he quickly took out his cell phone, but it was an unfamiliar number.

"Hello, who is this?" Director Li answered the phone with a hint of anticipation in his tone.

"Director Li, I'm Xiao Liu, a reporter from Entertainment Weekly. I heard that Wang Xinxin disappeared while your crew was filming. Is this true?" An unfamiliar male voice came from the other end of the line, with a hint of anxiety and excitement in his tone.

Director Li was stunned for a moment, and his phone almost slipped out of his hand.

How could the news spread so quickly?

"What? What did you say? Xinxin is missing?!" Wang Ze stood up suddenly, and the cigar in his hand fell on the precious carpet, instantly burning a piece of it.

His well-maintained face was now covered with dark clouds, his brows were furrowed, and the anger in his eyes seemed to be about to burst out.

"Yes, Mr. Wang, the news has been confirmed. Miss Wang slipped and fell off a cliff while filming, and her whereabouts have been unknown since then." On the other end of the phone, the assistant's voice trembled slightly, for fear of angering the business tycoon.

"Waste! A bunch of waste! Why do I keep you?!" Wang Ze roared and swept the documents on the table to the ground. The priceless antique ornaments also fell to the ground and shattered.

"Send someone to look for her immediately! Use all your strength, even if you have to dig three feet into the ground, you must find Xinxin for me!" Wang Ze's voice was like ice from hell, chilling people to the bone.

"Yes! Yes! I'll do it right away!" The assistant was so scared that he broke out in a cold sweat. He quickly hung up the phone and began to contact various forces.

Wang Ze paced back and forth in the office anxiously, the anger and worry in his heart intertwined and almost swallowed him.

Xinxin is his only daughter, the apple of his eye. He has cherished her in his hands since she was little, and was afraid that she would melt if he held her in his mouth. But now she has disappeared during filming, and her life or death is unknown. How can he not be extremely worried?
"Lin Ke! This matter must be related to Lin Ke!" Wang Ze suddenly stopped and a fierce light flashed in his eyes.

He had long disliked Lin Ke and felt that he was not worthy of his daughter. Now that Xinxin was missing, the first person he suspected was Lin Ke.

"Someone come here!" Wang Ze roared.

"Mr. Wang, what do you want me to do?" A bodyguard in black immediately pushed the door open and asked respectfully.

"Investigate for me! I want to know all of Lin Ke's whereabouts. Also, send someone to keep an eye on the crew. If there is any news, report to me immediately!" Wang Ze said gritting his teeth, his tone full of murderous intent.

"Yes!" The black-clad bodyguard took the order and left.

Wang Ze took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.

He knew that now was not the time to be angry, and the most urgent task was to find Xinxin.

"Xinxin, you must not be in any danger! Dad will definitely find you!" Wang Ze looked out the window and murmured to himself, his eyes full of worry and love.

At the same time, the huge machine of Wang Group has started to operate, and countless people have been sent to various places to search for Wang Xinxin's whereabouts.

A massive search and rescue operation thus began.

Lin Ke carried Wang Xinxin on his back and walked on the rugged mountain road with one foot deep and one foot shallow.

He didn't know how long he had been walking, nor where he was, but he knew that he couldn't stop and had to find people as soon as possible.

Wang Xinxin's condition was very bad. She had been unconscious, her breathing was weak, and her body temperature was cold. Lin Ke could feel her vitality slipping away bit by bit. "Xinxin, hold on, we will find someone to help soon." Lin Ke whispered to comfort Wang Xinxin, his tone full of worry and anxiety.

However, the only responses he received were the sound of the mountain wind and the singing of birds.

Lin Ke looked up at the sky. The sun had already set and a hint of red appeared on the horizon, indicating that night was about to fall.

"Damn it! Why haven't we found anyone yet?" Lin Ke cursed inwardly, feeling more and more uneasy.

He knew that in these wild mountains and wildernesses, once night fell, the temperature would drop sharply and wild beasts would appear. At that time, both he and Wang Xinxin would be in danger.

Just when Lin Ke was about to despair, he suddenly heard a dog barking from the front.

"There's a dog barking! Could it be someone's house?" Lin Ke suddenly perked up, quickened his pace, and walked towards the direction where the sound came from.

Sure enough, not long after walking, Lin Ke saw a yellow dog barking at him.

Behind the yellow dog is a dilapidated adobe house with a wisp of smoke rising from the roof, which looks particularly warm under the setting sun.

"Is anyone there?" Lin Ke shouted loudly towards the adobe house.

"Who is it?" An old voice came from the house.

Immediately afterwards, a hunched old man, leaning on a cane, walked out of the house.

The old man was wearing a pair of coarse cloth clothes that had been washed so much that they looked bleached. His face was covered with wrinkles, and his cloudy eyes were full of vigilance and confusion.

"Hello, old man. We came to the mountains to film a movie and accidentally got lost. Can we stay here for one night?" Lin Ke hurried forward and asked politely.

"Are you filming a movie?" The old man looked Lin Ke up and down, then looked at Wang Xinxin on his back, with a hint of surprise in his eyes.

"Yes, old man, we are really here to film a movie. If you don't believe me, look, this is my ID." Lin Ke said as he was about to take his ID out of his pocket.

"No need, I trust you." The old man waved his hand to stop Lin Ke's actions.

"Old man, you are such a good person!" Lin Ke said gratefully.

"Well, it's just a piece of cake, come in." The old man said, turning sideways to let Lin Ke enter the house.

Lin Ke carried Wang Xinxin on his back and followed the old man into the adobe house.

The adobe house was very simple, with only one room containing a bed, a table, a few chairs, and some firewood and sundries piled in the corner.

"Old man, my friend is injured. Could you please help her?" Lin Ke asked anxiously as he gently placed Wang Xinxin on the bed.

"Let me see." The old man walked forward and carefully checked Wang Xinxin's injuries.

"Oh, you're seriously injured. How did it happen?" the old man asked with a sigh.

"She accidentally fell down the mountain." Lin Ke explained simply.

"This mountain road is rugged and difficult to travel on. You young people just don't know how to be careful." The old man shook his head and said.

"Old man, your lesson is right. We will definitely pay attention to it in the future." Lin Ke nodded in agreement.
