Chapter 3 Buddha's Hand Spider Silk
Chapter 3 Buddha's Hand Spider Silk
Kunlun, summer and May of 80.
Unknown Ming did not move out of his residence in Zhengye Hall, but he got up earlier than usual and went to Wenshu Monastery Zhengjian Hall.
Wenshu Monastery is divided into two halls, Zhengjian and Zhengding. The master of Zhengjian hall collects books and classics and studies Buddhism and martial arts. The master of Zhengding hall teaches teaching. Most of the monks are lecturer monks or martial monks. If the disciples in the temple want to improve their martial arts, most of them need to go to Zhengding Hall to study. Zhengding Hall also holds classes from time to time, giving lectures, performing martial arts, or visiting disciples to examine the school.
Buddhism places the most emphasis on classics and scriptures. Although the four houses are equal, Manjushri is at the top, Samantabhadra is at the second place, and Ksitigarbha is at the bottom. This is a secret rule.Only a few lay monks can enter Wenshu Monastery, and the abbots of the first and two halls have not had any access to lay monks for decades.
"Little Monk Benyan, I am your labor leader." The leading monk was tall and strong, with downward curved eyebrows and a seemingly sad look on his face. Everyone nicknamed him "Senior Brother Sadness".Senior Brother Chou asked Mingming: "What do you do in Zhengye Hall?"
"Pick night fragrance." Ming said vaguely: "It took a year to pick it."
"Spotted dogs can bully people, huh!" Senior Brother Chou pouted, looking even more worried, "We Yexiang are taking turns, no one can escape." He added, "Wenshu Monastery used to be called Tibetan Scripture Pavilion. Save Classics, to further study martial arts, and later it was restructured into Wenshu Monastery, with the addition of the Zhengding Hall, for Buddhist disciples to preach, teach, and resolve doubts. Although the system was changed, the Sutra Pavilion is still there. The Zhengjian Hall is different from the Zhengye Hall, and the hall is large and small. , most of them are rooms where classics are stored. The masters have been studying knowledge for many years, so we are responsible for a lot of labor. In addition to sweeping and pouring night incense, we also have to carry water and chop firewood. You are young, so I will assign tasks to you as appropriate. "
Ming unknownly said: "Junior brother can be assigned the same labor as other senior brothers."
Senior Brother Chou said, "I can take care of myself. Let's go clean the Sutra Pavilion."
The configuration of Wenshu Monastery is roughly the same as that of Samantabhadra Monastery, and most of the monks in the courtyard live there.Zhengjian Hall is a five-entry courtyard, and the courtyard in the courtyard is used for martial arts and Buddhist lectures. The Buddhist Scripture Pavilion is located in the middle behind the Zhengjian Hall. Although it is simple and simple, it is majestic and majestic.
It was unknown when I stepped into this important place of Shaolin for the first time. I felt solemn and solemn. The sound of soft footsteps echoed softly in the lobby, as if stepping too hastily would be considered blasphemous.
Entering the lobby, walked to the left, opened the copper door, and saw row upon row of bookcases.Ming Xiang took a look at it, and found that most of them were literary and historical collections and various miscellaneous practical books, which were placed in different categories. This place is called "Museum Collection".
Go deeper and pass through a small wooden door, and you will find another smaller hall. This is the "Prajna Collection", which contains various annotated versions of Buddhist classics, as well as original scriptures. Some of the books are mottled and old and difficult to read.
Unknown Ming took down a copy of the Zagama Sutra from the shelf and was about to flip through it when a person behind him said, "If you want to read it, you have to borrow it from the commentator monk. It's cleaning time now, don't be lazy."
Ming Ming looked back and saw a handsome young man in his early twenties, who had not yet lost his hair and was also a lay disciple, smiling at him.
The young man pointed to the other end of the hall and said, "There is another room over there. Go and clean it."
Ming Ming nodded and walked over. He saw that the entrance was a small door made of iron. Although the door was small, it was three inches thick. If it were made entirely of steel, a person with less strength might not be able to push it open.
At this moment, the iron door was ajar, and seeing someone approaching something unknown, everyone in Sasuo suddenly stopped and looked at him intently.Ming Wuyang was unaware, and just as he was about to push the door, a black figure suddenly rushed out, yelling, and pushed hard on his chest. This man was so strong that he actually pushed him away. He steadied himself in mid-air, landed on his feet, and stood firmly without falling.
I heard everyone behind me laughing, and some cheered: "That's awesome!" He looked at the person who pushed him again. He had a crooked mouth and a slanted nose, and his facial features were all twisted together. He was about six feet tall, with a stooped body and a shoulder on his back. The hump is very conspicuous.
I saw the man waving his hands constantly and cursing: "You are not allowed to come in here! Get out! Get out!" His tone was urgent and angry. After saying that, he glanced at Ming Mingxiang again, his pupils shrank, the corners of his mouth twitched slightly, and then he hurriedly stepped inside. As if he was afraid that people would continue to look at him.
Ming and unknown noticed all of these.
"It's just a joke, don't be angry." The handsome young man just came over and laughed loudly, "Everyone here has been pushed down by fortune-telling, it's our initiation ceremony."
One disciple praised: "You are so awesome that you didn't fall down. Senior Brother Lu also fell down for the first time."
The handsome young man raised his hands in salute and said, "My name is Lu Changfeng, and I am a lay disciple like you."
Ming Wuxiang cupped his hands and replied, "My name is Ming Wuxiang."
Lu Changfeng asked: "You are really solid in your lowering skills. Who is your master?"
Ming said unclearly: "Monk Luo Xin."
The surrounding disciples all said "Hey", whispered to each other.Lu Changfeng turned around and said, "Everyone, go to work." The disciples dispersed and went to work individually.
Lu Changfeng asked: "Do you know where your master has gone?"
Ming shook his head in confusion.
Lu Changfeng said: "I think so, alas. Don't mind what happened just now. The senior fellow apprentices here are all very nice."
"Who was that person just now?" Ming looked at the iron door and asked, "Is there no way to enter?"
Lu Changfeng said: "That's the magical power storehouse, where the martial arts classics in the temple are stored. No entry is allowed without permission. That fortune-telling turtle has a very bad temper. That's the area he cleans. Don't mess with him if it's okay."
"Cleaning?" Ming asked unclearly, "Is he the same as us?"
Lu Changfeng said: "Theoretically it's the same, but it's a little different." He thought for a while and said, "The abbot allowed him to enter and exit the Shen Tong Zang freely, and he was only responsible for cleaning that place. Anyone who came near would be driven away by him. That's right. It’s not that we reject him for being ugly, he has a bad temper and doesn’t talk to others, and everyone doesn’t want to make him lose his temper.”
Ming unknown nodded, indicating that he understood.
The laboring disciples in Zhengjian Hall get along well with each other, they play and quarrel in private, they often go out together, and they have a deep relationship.Lu Changfeng is the leader among the disciples. His master is also a monk with a good view, and he has become the leader of this group of disciples. As for Senior Brother Chou, he allocates labor fairly, but other than that, he has had little contact with people recently. Everyone said that it is because he has to test his skills and take a test for his knighthood in the next few days, and Senior Brother Chou is practicing diligently.
As for Divination Turtle, he does not live in a monk's residence in the hospital, but lives in a utility room in the Sutra Pavilion. He is rarely seen outside except for sweeping in the early morning.
The harmonious relationship in Zhengjiantang does not seem to include Divination Gui, as Lu Changfeng said, he is a little different.
The real name of Bu Gui is Bu Li. He chose this name because his parents still wanted him to "stand upright."His crooked mouth, slanted nose, and hunchback were both natural. It seemed that a doctor had told him the reason, but he couldn't remember clearly. His deepest memory of his parents is his father saying to him: "Li'er, stand up straight! Stand up straight!" and his mother's cry.
This memory is very weak, so weak that Bu Gui himself doesn't even know if it is true.
His parents died very young, and he has been a beggar since he was a child. It can even be said that his memory begins with begging on the streets.Every child who saw him laughed at him, scolded him, and was stoned. Other parents would avoid their children playing with him, as if they were afraid of being infected with hunchback.
Others did not dare to approach him, and even after being beaten and scolded for a long time, he did not dare to approach them. He could only squat in a corner, begging for scraps of food, sometimes catching wild rats, sometimes fishing for pond fish, and never had a meal. Suddenly he could barely survive.
It wasn't until he was ten years old that he met his master, a monk from Zhengjian Hall.
The monk saw that he was pitiful and took him back to the Shaolin Temple to take care of him. Only then did he have enough food and clothing. To express his gratitude, he always works very hard. But Monk Liaoyin did not take care of him for long. Within two years, Monk Liaoyin fell ill for no apparent reason and left shortly after.Bu Gui cried very sadly. In addition to being grateful for Yin's care, he was also worried that his good days were gone.
Fortunately, the monks at Zhengjian Hall did not drive him away. These monks had compassionate hearts and were willing to take him in.There's just one thing that Dio Gui himself doesn't know. The reason is that he was originally a monk transferred from Guanyin Temple. Although he was a regular monk, he had close contacts with lay monks during his lifetime. He often said: "Shaolin Temple relies on the support of lay monks." There are so many places, regardless of one’s origin, why should one be divided into the ordinary and the ordinary?”
In response to this, the monks in Zhengjian Hall just shook their heads and sighed, lamenting that such a good monk had fallen into disgrace and joined the ranks of lay monks.
Since Liaoyin was considered to be close to lay monks and others, Gugui was in an embarrassing situation. In order to avoid suspicion, the righteous monks did not dare to get close to him. After the lay monks regarded him as a righteous monk, they paid no attention to him. Therefore, no one among the monks wanted to take care of him.Fortunately, he was simple and diligent, so Zen Master Jueming, the abbot of Zhengjian Hall, assigned him to clean the magical power storehouse. It usually takes three people to clean the place properly, but he can keep it spotless by himself.Because of his ugly appearance and withdrawn personality, he was allowed to live in a utility room in the Sutra Pavilion for ten years.
Divination Gui regards the job of hiding magical powers as his only value in Shaolin Temple. He is born with great strength, and anyone who wants to get close will be driven away by him.
He was afraid that without this job, he would go back to begging on the streets. He was afraid of the streets and the people.
It’s not that Gui Gui has no hope. After cleaning every day, he returned to his room, leaned back, put his hands on the ground, and practiced iron bridge. This was a skill he learned from Yinqiu. He stretched his back every day and endured the severe pain. He practiced for an hour, just hoping that his hunched back could be straightened. He doesn't want to be like ordinary people, he just wants to be taller and straighter, even a little bit.
This posture was like a turtle on its back. Ironically, he only hoped that this posture would make him less like a turtle. This was the reason why he would rather live in the utility room than with other disciples. It was a secret that he never wanted to be discovered.
"A long time ago, there was a great thief named Gandatta. He committed many evil deeds during his lifetime. After his death, he fell into hell and suffered the torment of fire. One day, the Buddha passed by a well and heard howls and screams. So he looked and saw that The well leads directly to hell, where Gandatta was tortured by the fiery fire. When Gandatta saw the Buddha, his Dharma body was majestic, pure and holy, he shouted to the Buddha to save me."
On this day, on a whim, Abbot Jueming informed his disciples that they wanted to study the "Buddha Disciple Precepts" and explain Buddhist scriptures at the same time.Divination turtle also joined the procession, and Jueming told the story.
"Hearing Gandatha's call for help, the Buddha opened his Dharma eyes and looked at the three thousand worlds, the past and the future. It turned out that although Gandatha had done many evil things during his lifetime, he once stepped on a spider when he was walking. Suddenly, he had a thought in his heart. Thinking why risk your life? So he took a step forward and spared the spider. Then the Buddha stretched out his hand, took out a spider, and placed it on the edge of the well. The spider spun out silk thread and went into the well. Gandado saw the opportunity , hurriedly reached out to grab it, and climbed up along the silk thread. He climbed all the way, and when he got tired halfway, he took a breather. When he lowered his head, he saw that the hell beings were also climbing up along this spider thread. He thought to himself, This silk thread is so thin, how can it bear so much weight? If it breaks, won't I have to go back to hell to suffer? So I kicked the evil ghost who came behind me and cursed: 'This spider silk belongs to me. You are not allowed to follow me!' With his kick, the spider thread broke immediately, and before Gandado fell into hell, he only heard the Buddha sigh softly."
Jueming said: "Don't do any evil, and practice all the good. Don't do good deeds because they are trivial, and don't do evil deeds because they are trivial. You are all young and vigorous. You should pay special attention to the "Buddha's Disciple Precepts" as your good teacher. , must be remembered.”
The fortune teller sat in the corner and listened attentively, very attentively. This story seemed to touch his heart. Then Jueming asked the disciples to recite the rules, and they read them out loud with books in hand. Bu Gui came back to his senses, and hurriedly stared at the book and continued to recite, but he always missed half a beat.
One afternoon, all the disciples were hiding in the Sutra Pavilion chatting, and Ming Wu was among them.Everyone was in the middle of chatting when Ming Ming suddenly stood up. Everyone was taken aback and asked, "What's wrong?"
Ming said vaguely: "I saw a mouse."
Everyone was shocked. Rats were the most taboo in the Sutra Pavilion. If any rats chewed the books and caused damage, all the disciples would be punished.
Lu Changfeng asked hurriedly: "Is it true or false?"
Ming said vaguely: "Maybe it's my eyesight."
Lu Changfeng said: "I can't afford this joke, everyone, hurry up and find me!"
Everyone hurriedly searched separately, opened all the storage rooms in turn, and searched one by one.Everyone intentionally or unintentionally avoided Dio Gui's room, wanting to wait until the end for a closer look. However, Ming and Wuxiang didn't realize it. They came to the door of Dio Gui's room and pushed open the door, only to see Dio Gui's belly turned to the sky and his limbs on the ground. Practicing Iron Banqiao is like a tortoise turning over.
At that moment, Ming Wuji saw such a frightened expression on Bu Gui's face for the first time.
Bu Gui wanted to turn over, but his back was stiff and he couldn't move for a while. Hearing that other brothers were approaching, he was even more frightened, fearing that he would be laughed at if he was seen like this.
While he was panicking, he quickly closed the door. He heard the unknown voice say: "I've looked here, there are no mice." Then he heard someone say: "I've looked in all the rooms, but I can't find them." Wait." Ming Ming added without knowing, "Maybe I was dazzled and made my brothers busy in vain." The voices of those people talking gradually faded away, and Bu Gui felt relieved and ended the practice hastily. Thinking back I still had lingering fears when I got up.
Divination Gui remembered Ming Minghuo, and he remembered this person from the first time they met.Unknown Ming has a handsome and elegant face, like a beauty.Although Lu Changfeng is handsome, but compared to Ming Wuxiang, that handsome man is as boring as a rough guy.
He was a little jealous of that face, that face itself was the greatest irony to him. With the same eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, how could someone be so delicate and how could he be so rough?
If Divination Gui didn't want anyone to see his ugly behavior the most, it was Ming Wuxiang. But today, Ming Wuxiang was allowed to see him imitating Wu Gui's ugly behavior.
Will he tell others what happened today?
That night, the fortune teller couldn't sleep.
When I was sweeping the house the next morning, Divining Turtle secretly peeked out from inside the magic power hideout. He met Ming's unknown gaze and hurriedly hid.He listened carefully to the conversations outside and found nothing unusual, which made him feel a little relieved.
Nothing happened in the next few days, but Bu Gui still had this matter in mind.
One afternoon, when everyone went back, Bu Gui was in a daze in the room.At this moment, he had no intention of practicing and was just walking back and forth. Suddenly he heard a voice outside the house saying: "Didn't you just borrow the Shurangama Sutra? Why do you want to borrow the Vimalakīrti Sutra again?" Another person said: "Disciple, I want to have more. Refer to the scriptures." Bu Gui's heart skipped a beat, and he heard Ming's unknown voice, and then heard another voice saying: "How old are you, that you can understand this scripture?" Ming's unknown voice said: "You can't understand it. Then I made a note that there are many masters in Zhengding Hall." Another person laughed and said, "Abbot Juejian said that you are smart, and it is true. Don't lose it."
The fortune teller pushed the door open a crack and saw Ming Ming standing on the corridor. A little further away, a young monk lazily walked away.He vaguely recognized the figure on the back as the annotator monk of the Sutra Pavilion, but he had almost never spoken to him.
The fortune teller hesitated for a long time, and when he saw that it was unclear and was about to leave, he couldn't help coughing.Sure enough, he turned around and saw the fortune teller half-hiding behind the door, seemingly hesitating and not speaking.
The fortune teller looked at it for a while, then finally stretched out his hand and waved to Ming Wuxiang.
Ming Ming walked over, and Bu Gui asked: "On that day... when you saw me... practicing, did you tell the other brothers and sisters?"
Ming unknown shook his head and said: "No."
Divination Gui said: "Don't tell anyone, okay?"
Ming unknown said: "No."
Dio Gui was very anxious and was about to ask why it couldn't work, but he didn't know why and then said, "You can't practice like this. I can't cure you."
It turned out that this was what he meant. Bu Gui hurriedly said: "Just leave me alone and don't tell anyone."
Ming unknownly said: "Hunchback is difficult to treat. There are many medical books in the museum collection, and there are medicine monks in the temple. Why don't you ask them?"
"Master asked me about it a long time ago." Bu Gui shook his head, "They said there was no way to save him."
Ming said vaguely: "I didn't take what I saw that day seriously at all. Since you care and want me to hide it for you, then do me a favor, otherwise I will tell the truth."
Divination Gui asked: "What can I do for you?"
Ming unknownly said: "I'm here to borrow scriptures, and I can only borrow two at a time. How about you borrow two more for me?"
Bu Gui said hurriedly: "No, I...can't."
Ming unknown asked: "Why not?"
Bu Gui couldn't say anything, so he just said: "This won't work, you can tell me something else."
Ming said vaguely: "You can't read, right?"
The fortune teller was told something important. His face turned red, he lowered his head and asked, "How do you know?"
"That day when you were reciting the Precepts for Disciples of the Buddha, you couldn't keep up. You were just learning to recite it, and I noticed it." Ming said unknownly, "This is easy to solve. I'll just teach you how to read."
Bu Gui was startled, raised his head and asked, "You teach me how to read?"
Ming unknown nodded and said: "If you can't read, you can't borrow books for me." After that, he walked into the room.
Divination Gui couldn't stop him. This room was originally used for storage and had no windows. Even though it was daytime, it was dark and difficult to see inside.Ming unknownly said: "It's too dark here, you can't see clearly. Let's go outside."
Bu Gui shook his head and said, "I won't go outside."
Ming nodded and said, "Then I'll go find some paper and pen. You wait for me."
Ming Wu left after saying unknown things. The fortune teller was anxious and uneasy, not knowing what to do for a while. After a while, Ming unknown brought back the oil lamp and the Four Treasures of the Study.
"I'll teach you the simple ones first, one, two, three, four, have you learned it?" Ming unknownly lit a candle, laid out paper and rubbed ink, and wrote the words "42 Chapters Sutra" on the paper while asking.
Divination Gui said: "You can recognize one to ten."
Ming unknownly said: "Then I will teach you the words 'Zhang' and 'Jing' first, and you can help me borrow this book tomorrow." Then he thought about it and said, "No, if Master Jing knew If you are illiterate, they will definitely ask you what you are borrowing books for. You need to learn more so that you can answer better when questioned."
Bu Gui's heart was pounding. He didn't want to see outsiders. He only went to the dining hall every day when eating. But he kept his head down and returned quickly, neither talking to people nor making eye contact with them.He had always wanted to learn to read, but he was too shy to say it. He was willing to teach him unknownly, which was a wish.He thought about it, but was afraid that the secret might be revealed, so he said, "Okay, I'll help you."
Ming looked at him unknownly and suddenly smiled, his smile as bright and warm as the sunshine on an autumn afternoon.Bu Gui looked at this smile and thought: "How can he smile so beautifully?" He seemed to be dumbfounded.
From that day on, every afternoon, he would come to the fortune-telling room to teach him how to read.Dio Gui asked about Ming Wuxi's life experience, and found out that Ming Wuxiang was an orphan like himself, and his master had disappeared. He couldn't help but feel sympathy for each other, and the two gradually got closer.
Bu Gui stopped practicing martial arts from then on and focused on literacy. His memory and understanding were not excellent, but he was very diligent. He started studying right after his hard work every day, reviewed after he left at an unknown date, and didn't sleep until late at night. In less than a month, he had learned hundreds of commonly used words.
The most difficult thing about learning Chinese calligraphy is the foundation. Once the foundation is established, one can make rapid progress from then on. When it was unclear, he was asked to borrow the "42 Chapters Sutra".Divination Gui declined several times, shaking his head no even if it was unclear. As a last resort, he had no choice but to go to the Prajna Palace and get a copy of the "42-Chapter Sutra" and asked the monk in charge to borrow it.
Note that the monk is a young monk with the Buddhist name Jing Jing. When he saw the fortune-telling turtle, he was surprised and said, "It's rare to see you here to borrow scriptures."
Bu Gui's face turned red and his heart beat, feeling ashamed, he lowered his head and did not dare to reply.Liao Jing didn't ask any more questions, he just said: "If you have any questions when reading the scriptures, you can come and ask me. If I don't know how, I can help you ask the scripture monk."
Bu Gui didn't expect the other party to be so friendly, so he thanked him repeatedly, took the book and left quickly.
Ming and unknown people had been waiting for him in the house for a long time. When Di Gui entered the house, he felt like he was being pardoned and couldn't help but breathe.
Ming unknown said calmly: "It's not very difficult, right?"
The fortune teller nodded and handed the scripture to Ming Wuxiang, but Ming Wuxiang did not take it and said: "I can finish reading this book in two days. If you return it too quickly, they will also become suspicious. It is better to use this scripture to learn it first." Character."
It was unknown, so he taught the tortoise how to read and interpret the scriptures.Divining turtle only knew a little about the scriptures, but gradually he was able to understand the meaning of the text.
A few days later, Mingming asked Bu Gui to borrow a book again. This time it was a miscellaneous book, which was the "Thousand-Character Essay" for enlightenment.
"My master said that "The Thousand Character Classic" is the fastest way to learn Chinese characters." Ming said vaguely, "You have learned many characters in it, so it shouldn't be difficult."
After studying for a few days, Gui Gui suddenly thought: "He wants me to borrow scriptures for him. How can he borrow the Thousand-Character Classic?" After thinking about it, he thought again, "He said he wanted to borrow scriptures as an excuse, but actually he wanted me to learn to write. , let me meet someone?"
After thinking about this, Bu Gui was excited and grateful. Looking at Ming Wei, he was speechless.Seeing that he had a different look on his face, Ming Wuji asked, "What's wrong?"
Bu Gui said: "You...you borrowed the book for me?"
He didn't comment on whether he wanted to know or not, and just said: "I'm not busy borrowing books. Just help me later." He added, "If you have a book you want to read, you can borrow it yourself."
Bu Gui was moved and said: "Apart from Master, you are the first person to treat me so well. Why?"
Ming Wuxiang thought for a while and said: "You are like me, you have no parents, no master. Maybe I regard you as a friend."
"Friend!" Bu Gui's heart moved. The only relative he remembered in his life was his master, whom he had been with for just two years, and he had never made a single friend. He was obviously the first person to treat him as a friend, and he couldn't help but get excited.
"I...I haven't made any friends...do you have many friends?" Bu Gui asked.
Ming unknown said: "There used to be someone who picked up night incense with me in Zhengye Hall. He might be considered a friend. However, he later helped this month to bully me and stole my "Buddha Disciple Precepts"." Ming unknown said, and then thought deeply. After a moment, he said, "Friends can also be harmful to others."
Divination Turtle said hurriedly: "I won't be like that! I have no other friends except you!"
Ming said vaguely: "You can make a few more friends."
Bu Gui lowered his head and said: "I...I am like this, no one wants to be my friend."
"The brothers and sisters in Zhengjian Hall are all good people." Ming said vaguely, "You have already tried it once, why don't you try it a few more times?"
"How to do it?" Bu Gui asked.
Ming said vaguely: "Tomorrow, Sasu, you come out of the Shen Tong Zang and say hello to them."
"What do you mean?" Bu Gui asked more carefully.
"It's just a hello, just one every day." Ming said vaguely, "You will understand after that."
The next day, the fortune teller finished cleaning. Seeing that time was running out, he remembered what Ming Wuxiang had said, but he hesitated to move forward.
He recalled that when he was a child, when he was close to other children, he would either scare the other child to tears or provoke beatings and scoldings from the other child's parents.
He felt scared, with that contemptuous look and contemptuous attitude, as if he was a monster who should not have been born.
He hid in the Shaolin Temple for ten years, and established his world in that solitary hut, where he had everything. And now he has to leave that world and go to another place that was once hostile to him.
"It's just a hello." He thought to himself, "What else can I lose?"
He took a breath, feeling that his feet were a little weak, and slowly walked towards the small iron door step by step.
The iron door is heavy, hard to open when closed, and hard to close when open.He stood in the doorway so that everyone could see him.Someone soon noticed him, and soon all the cleaning disciples looked over.
"Everyone..." His mind went blank and he didn't know what to say, so he finally said, "Good morning."
It was almost noon, and everyone laughed when they saw his embarrassment. The fortune teller felt embarrassed and was about to retreat when he heard everyone reply: "Good morning!" "Good morning!"
He could tell that there was no hostility in these words, and some were accidental at most.
After that, he started to say greetings every day, to greetings when meeting, greetings when leaving, and gradually to two or three simple conversations. In less than three months, he entered the circle of disciples. He could feel that everyone was a little afraid of him, but later they got along with each other as normal and would sometimes tell him jokes. He had a dull personality and was slow to react. He could only giggle when he didn't understand.
The joke is not understood, but the laughter is sincere.
Within half a year, he could read and make friends, and there was more than one friend.
All this is because of the unknown.
He was grateful for unknown reasons, as if he was grateful to his master for a reason.
One afternoon, Lu Changfeng suddenly suggested and asked everyone if they wanted to go for an outing in the back mountain. Some disciples said they would go back and ask their master for instructions, and some agreed immediately.Lu Changfeng asked, "Everyone wants to go to the back mountain for a walk, are you going?" Then he turned around and asked, "Bu Gui, are you going?"
Bu Gui didn't expect this question and hurriedly looked at Xiang Ming for unknown reasons.Ming unknown nodded, and Gui Gui also nodded and said yes.
Lu Changfeng didn't notice the tacit understanding between the two.
So a group of dozens of monks and laypeople gathered outside the Zhengjian Hall and headed for an outing in the back mountain.
Ming Ming has been to Houshan several times, so he naturally brought him there. The scenery along the way was beautiful, insects and birds were chirping, and everyone was laughing and chatting. When they arrived at an open space, Lu Changfeng directed them to get firewood. One disciple took out tea leaves, and some disciples took out cakes and fruits. They all shared their food and sat on the ground, chatting and laughing, and they were very harmonious.
Divining Turtle has not left the temple for ten years. Although he only went to the back mountain this time, he felt like seeing the sun again. He couldn't help but feel relaxed and relaxed. He walked around and was very excited.
Everyone was chatting about martial arts stories, and mentioned that more than half a year ago, Chief Juekong led a large group of monks to go out, and they were gone for more than two months.Lu Changfeng smiled and said: "The leader of Juekong is going to participate in the Kunlun Conference to elect a new alliance leader."
Someone asked: "Aren't there six sects taking turns to be the leaders of this alliance? Qingcheng, Huashan, and Tangmen only have drooling rights, so why should they choose?"
Lu Changfeng smiled and said: "You don't understand this. The rules are to choose, even if it is actually taking turns, it has to be a formality. Only once every ten years, the heads of the nine families can gather together. "
"They say it was the head of the family who came personally, but the head of Juekong is not the abbot, isn't he?" asked a disciple.
"Are you confused? When is the Kunlun Conference? April!" Lu Changfeng asked with a smile, "What big day is there in April?"
Even a divination turtle could answer this question, but all the disciples in the audience said in unison: "Buddha's birthday!"
Lu Changfeng smiled and said: "Buddha's birthday is a major event in Shaolin. For this reason, we agreed decades ago that unless the date is rescheduled, Shaolin can only send representatives. In the past few decades, unless it is our turn to be the leader, we have to Go, otherwise we will send someone with weight to represent the abbot."
"Just because Chief Juekong is not here, Abbot Juejian has been able to delay Master Xin's case for so long." Lu Changfeng continued.
This brings us to the case of the missing heart again.A few months ago, Juejian submitted the autopsy results to Samantabhadra, and Juekong made the conclusion that "suspected of death due to a beating, and there are suspicions to be investigated." This caused huge waves in the Shaolin Temple, and rumors continued to spread. Among them, The only key figure is the missing heart.During this period, many monks visited Ming Wu, but there were no clues.
When everyone said this, they also made their own guesses, but because Ming Wuxi was nearby and it was difficult to discuss, they changed the topic again, talking about which abbot was strict and which abbot was loose, and there were various rumors.
A disciple said: "Have you heard of it? It turns out that the leader of Juekong has a family at the foot of the mountain!"
Several disciples laughed and said, "Who doesn't know this? Juekong first became a monk at the age of 40. It's strange that he has no family."
The disciple said: "Looking at his sanctimonious appearance, I thought he was a righteous monk, but I found out later..."
He suddenly asked, "How do you distinguish between orthodox monks and lay monks?"
Everyone looked at Ming Wuxiang, surprised by his question, but seeing that he was young, they said, "You don't know how to tell the difference?"
Ming unknownly said: "Master Liao Xin mentioned that orthodox monks enter the temple for the purpose of spiritual practice, but lay monks do not. Disciples of lay monks are also lay monks after being ordained. Only disciples of orthodox monks can be orthodox monks."
A disciple said: "That's more or less what it means. Let me tell you, some lay monks only take the precepts in the temple. When they leave the temple, not only do they have families, but they also eat, drink, whore and gamble."
Speaking of this, many disciples showed disdain.
"When I went to the Buddhist capital to buy things, I met several disciples of Ksitigarbha Monastery. My master specially told me not to associate with lay monks and disciples." A disciple who has been ordained drank a tea ceremony and said, "I met you recently. Hello. I won’t fight either.”
"My master said the same thing." Another young man said, "Those people don't learn well."
"The Zhengye Hall is interesting. I heard the senior brother there say that as soon as you enter the dining hall, the orthodox monks sit on one side, the lay monks sit on the other, and there is a row of empty seats in the middle. It's like water and fire."
The confrontation between the righteous monks and lay monks gradually unfolded, and the undercurrents surged. Even the disciples gradually felt that something was wrong.
"Don't talk nonsense." Lu Changfeng said, "Junior brother Ming still lives in Zhengye Hall. Just ask him about this." He looked at Ming Wei and said, "Is this really true?"
Ming unknownly said: "There are not enough seats in the dining hall, so there can't be an empty row."
The crowd laughed.
Suddenly a familiar voice scolded: "You little bitch, you are living a good life!" Everyone looked and saw a monk with black spots on his face. It was this month, and for some reason, he also came to the back mountain today.
Yue Yue walked up to him and cursed: "Your master killed someone and escaped, but it's better for you to enjoy your life here!" After that, he kicked Ming Wuxiang in the back and knocked him to the ground.
Hearing a roar, the fortune teller rushed forward and hugged Yue Yue by the waist. At this time, Bu Gui has already regarded Ming Wuxiang as a relative, how can he be allowed to be bullied?Seeing him being beaten, he rushed over. This month, I saw the terrifying shape of the fortune telling turtle, and I was shocked. The fortune telling turtle was so strong that it was about to overthrow him to the ground. How can he be so arrogant this month? He held his lower body with both hands, clasping his meridians, then bent his knees and pushed against Bu Gui, hitting Bu Gui's belly. Bu Gui was in pain, but he still struggled to throw Yun Yu away. This month took a few steps back, opened his bow from left to right, and punched Bu Gui twice in the face. Bu Gui had thick skin and thick flesh. He took a few steps back and wanted to fight again. Several disciples rushed to catch him.
Lu Changfeng stood up and said angrily: "Why do you beat someone?!"
Yue Yue said: "You bitch is a disciple of the Zhengye Hall. Can you, the Zhengjian Hall, take care of it?"
Lu Changfeng said: "A sweeper is also qualified to discipline disciples? Is this the rule of Zhengye Hall?"
This month scolded: "Why sweep the floor? Aren't you also a sweeper, so you are qualified to take care of me?"
Lu Changfeng said: "If you hurt my friend, I can't help it!"
Ming unknown pulled Lu Changfeng's sleeve and said calmly: "It doesn't matter."
This month, another slap was given to Xiang Ming for unknown reasons, and he cursed: "Is it your turn to speak?"
He knew that Ming was unknown and had no intention of supporting him. He also thought that because of his special status, there would be no master to stand up for him, so he wanted to bully him even more.Lu Changfeng didn't even say anything, and kicked Yu Yue with a spin.
This month said angrily: "Come on!"
The two of them started fighting each other. Several Zhengjian Hall disciples protected Ming Wuxiang and Bu Gui. Others wanted to break up the fight, but Lu Changfeng stopped them.
The two started to exchange fists and kicks, and it was just simple grappling skills. Lu Changfeng's skills were obviously superior.Seeing that he couldn't win this month, he turned his fists into palms and struck out continuously, as if he had several extra arms, with heavy shadows on his palms.
This is the Avalokitesvara Palm with Thousand Eyes and Thousand Hands, which is already an advanced martial art in the temple and is not used in ordinary fights.Although this month's skills are shallow, he is proficient in his moves. He relied on his body size to be stronger than Lu Changfeng's, so he knew that his skills would be deeper, and he wanted to use this to win.
Unexpectedly, his plan was wrong. Lu Changfeng suddenly struck out with a palm, and the strong wind hit his face. It turned out to be the Great Vajra Palm.
As far as martial arts is concerned, Vajra Palm focuses on strong palm strength, while Guanyin Palm focuses on dexterity. Both are good at winning. However, there is no level in kung fu, but there is power. Although Lu Changfeng is only in his early twenties, his internal strength has been cultivated more profoundly than this month. When this month's three and five palm attacks came, Lu Changfeng could force him to retreat with just one palm strike.
After a few more moves, Lu Changfeng hit Yue Yue on the shoulder, knocking him back a few steps.I suffered a loss this month, thinking I was invincible, and cursed: "You relied on the large number of people today, so I suffered a loss. Let's see how long you can protect this bitch!" After that, he turned around and left.
A disciple ridiculed from behind: "Don't leave! We'll pick a weak point and fight you, one-on-one, don't bully others!"
Everyone laughed and cheered: "Senior Brother Lu is awesome!" "Senior Brother Lu is so capable!" They surrounded Lu Changfeng as if they were surrounding a great hero.
Lu Changfeng asked Bu Gui, "Is it okay?" Bu Gui shook his head and said, "It's okay." There was reluctance in his expression.
Ming said vaguely: "If he offends this month, he will always find an opportunity to take revenge."
Another person said: "If he goes to complain, he is afraid that Senior Brother Lu will be punished by the master."
Lu Changfeng said: "The spotted dog is a lay monk. If I beat him, the master will praise me."
The crowd laughed again.
Lu Changfeng said to Ming Wu again: "If you live in Zhengye Hall, he will bring bad luck to you sooner or later. It's hard to hide. There are still vacancies in Zhengjian Hall. Are you really not going to move here?"
Although it was unclear, he still shook his head and said: "That is Master's room."
Everyone was moved to see him thinking about his master.Lu Changfeng said: "If he bullies you again, just tell me and I will help you stand up."
Ming unknownly said: "It is forbidden to fight in the temple, and he has helpers." Then he added, "Now that Senior Brother Lu is around, if he comes to mess with me, Senior Brother Lu will also help me."
Lu Changfeng laughed loudly and said: "This is nothing. Don't worry, if he dares to speak out, I will tell the master about his bullying of you. There will be people above to uphold justice. The senior brothers of Zhengjian Hall are all your supporters."
As soon as the words fell, all the brothers said in unison: "Yes, we are all your supporters!"
Ming Wuxi looked at everyone, and suddenly smiled, as warm as the morning sun.Since Ming Wuxi entered the Zhengjian Hall, no one has seen him smile except Bu Gui. Everyone said that he was sad because of his loss of heart. Seeing him smile now, they all felt that he had done something good and they were all happy.
Except for Divination Turtle.
He looked lonely and stood behind everyone.
That night, the fortune teller tossed and turned and couldn't sleep well.Early the next morning, when he was cleaning the magic power store, he couldn't help but secretly pull out a secret book called "Dragon Claw Hand" and put it in his arms.
He chose this book because he didn't understand the meaning of many words. Only the word "dragon" made him feel majestic and domineering.
In the afternoon, Ming Wuxi taught Bu Gui how to read. Bu Gui asked about his grievances with him this month. Ming Wu said: "He was the leader of the labor monks in Zhengye Hall in the past, just like Senior Brother Chou. It's just that he bullied his subordinates and only gave orders and did not do anything. , everyone is afraid of him, but they don’t respect him.”
Bu Gui asked again: "But Senior Brother Lu is so loved by everyone?"
Ming said vaguely: "He is enthusiastic and often helps his brothers, so he is naturally loved. If you also often help your brothers, you will also be loved."
The fortune teller nodded and asked no more questions.
After that, Dio Gui often took the initiative to help his brothers. He inquired that if any of the brothers are useful, they need to go to the Buddhist capital to purchase. The Buddhist capital is five miles away. Some brothers cannot leave the temple at will without the permission of the master. They will inevitably ask someone to buy for them. Ask for help.Bu Gui had no master and could come and go freely, so he volunteered to help all the brothers buy supplies. At first, everyone was a little embarrassed and refused, but when Bu Gui insisted, they accepted his offer.
Although Bu Gui is short and hunchbacked, he is very strong. No matter how many things he carries, he cannot be troubled.Whenever he comes back from shopping, everyone will thank him and praise him. Although Bu Gui is sweating from exhaustion, he will smile happily.
As time went by, everyone gradually became accustomed to it. When they wanted to buy something but didn't want to go far away, they would entrust Bu Gui to buy it. Sometimes even if they just lacked a toothbrush, they would have to walk ten miles back and forth.
In the twelfth lunar month, there was a heavy snowfall in Shaoshi Mountain, and then came the New Year. Although the Shaolin Temple celebrated the Buddha's birthday, it still had to be lively. Then came the birthdays of Guanyin and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. These past few months had made all the disciples of the Zhengjian Hall extremely tired.
In the blink of an eye, it was spring and March. One day, someone knocked on the door of the unknown room and said that Abbot Juejian invited him to Zhengye Hall.
"I wanted to visit you earlier," Juejian said, "but Zhengye Hall has so many chores that I couldn't find time for it. It took a long time to forget about it, and I didn't think of it until recently."
Ming unknownly said: "Disciple knows how to take care of himself. It would be great if he could find his master as soon as possible." After he finished speaking, he paused and continued, "It can also avoid disputes in the temple."
Juejian raised his eyebrows and said, "I heard that you borrowed a lot of books in the Zhengjian Hall. Which ones did you read?" Ming and Unknown told them one by one. Juejian asked questions from time to time, and Ming and Unknown responded fluently, which made Juejian Amazing.
After the inspection, Juejian asked: "I am very pleased that you study diligently in Zhengjian Hall, and your master will also be pleased to see you. What gift do you want? I will give it to you."
Ming said unclearly: "Disciples don't need gifts."
Juejian said: "This is a reward, not a debt. It encourages you to be diligent. If you remember, you should be more diligent."
Ming Wuxi thought for a moment and said, "I want a pair of shoes."
Juejian asked: "Shoes?"
Ming said vaguely: "Yes, a pair of shoes."
Juejian laughed and said, "What's the problem? I'll send someone to deliver it to you in two days."
Unknown Ming saluted and said, "Thank you, Abbot."
Juejian praised him a few more words and sent someone to send him back.
Just this March, two things happened in Zhengjian Hall.
The first thing is that Senior Brother Chou passed the art test and was assigned as a supervisory monk. He was leaving Shaolin Temple and heading to Shanxi.
Everyone was happy for him and felt sorry for him. At the same time, the leading disciple who led the labor force was free. But I didn't think much about the position of leading disciple. As usual, it was recommended by the departing disciples and approved by the abbot, so it must be Lu Changfeng.
At the farewell banquet, everyone raised money to buy a set of monk robes and shoes for Senior Brother Chou. Naturally, they were bought by Bu Gui down the mountain.Everyone complained about their separation and said goodbye one by one.
When it was Ming's turn, Senior Brother Chou said: "Since you entered the Zhengjian Hall, I have had few affairs and few meetings with you. I have not been able to teach you anything. Now that I think about it, I feel very sorry."
Ming said vaguely: "The senior fellow students at Zhengjian Hall are all very nice. Senior Brother Lu is very good, and Senior Brother Bu is also very good. I'm just a little sad, and I guess I'll have to feel sad again next year."
Senior Brother Chou asked, "How do you say this?"
Ming said vaguely: "In less than two years, it will be Senior Brother Lu's turn to receive the title of knight and leave the temple."
Senior Brother Chou raised his eyebrows and thought to himself: "Junior Brother Lu can learn his skills well, and he may be able to go down the mountain in less than two years. I have been busy preparing for the audition in the past six months, which has delayed a lot of hard work. I am busy at both ends and have no leisure time. I rely on his help. .After I leave, who will Junior Brother Lu ask for help?"
As he thought about it, he couldn't help but look at the fortune teller.
At this time, Lu Changfeng raised his tea cup and said loudly: "I wish Senior Brother Chou all the best, enter the hall as soon as possible, and return to Shaolin!"
Everyone also raised their glasses and laughed in unison.
Two days after Brother Chou left, Abbot Jueming passed down the order and Bu Li replaced Ben Yan and became the labor leader of the group.
After learning about this appointment, not only Lu Changfeng, but everyone was stunned. Bu Gui was also stunned.
Although Lu Changfeng thought that if he served as the labor leader, it would definitely affect his participation in the audition, but he had a high self-esteem and felt that it was not impossible to take care of both ends. Worrying about his senior brother's good intentions seemed like wishful thinking.Bu Gui has been quite popular among his fellow apprentices recently, and he is of similar age. There is no need to be talented in labor. He has no intention of becoming a hero, and he will not leave the temple. He is indeed suitable for this position, but for some reason, Lu Changfeng always feels that he is holding his breath.
Bu Gui took over the post and said calmly: "I... alas... I will try my best." Everyone saw that he was stammering and at a loss, and they couldn't help but waver a little more.
In the afternoon of that day, unknown Ming came to teach Divining Turtle how to read.Over the past six months, Dio Gui has learned a lot of commonly used words. Occasionally, he will take out some rare words and ask if he knows it. If he doesn't know it, he will teach him on the spot.Although Ming is still young, he is already half a teacher in Bu Gui's heart. If you are unsure about something, just ask him.
Divination Gui asked: "Junior Brother Ming, I...I became the leading disciple, oh...this...what should I do?"
Ming unknown replied: "I have never been a leading disciple, so I don't know how to teach you, but it is always right to lead by example."
Dio Gui asked the meaning of this sentence, which is to use yourself as an example. If you do more, the people below you will be convinced.
The fortune teller understood, but did too much.
Usually, each person carries ten buckets of water, but Bu Gui relied on his strength to carry dozens more buckets, so each person picked up two buckets less.
When chopping firewood, one Bu Gui can do as much work as five people, and each person chops a few bundles less.
When cleaning, Bu Gui took the lead, moving heavy objects and handling old dirt personally.
He was only responsible for the work, but did not assign any tasks. However, every fellow apprentice was very happy and praised Bu Gui one after another. Since he took office, everyone's work has become much easier. The fortune teller also laughed happily, and felt a little more grateful to Ming Wuxi.
The second major event in March is still related to divination.
He lost the money he spent to buy snacks for other disciples.
"I obviously brought it with me!" Bu Gui said sadly, feeling very annoyed, "When I arrived at the Buddhist capital, I took out my pocket and it was all gone..."
"You must have been pickpocketed, right?" said a disciple, "There are many pickpockets in the Buddhist capital, so I told you to be careful."
"I'm very careful." Bu Gui said dejectedly, "I'm sorry everyone."
Lu Changfeng comforted him: "Don't mind the trivial matter of a few dozen pennies."
The monks in Zhengjian Hall are all orthodox monks. They have no other income except their salary. They also give little pocket money to their disciples. Some of them rely on financial support from their families. There were many people participating in Bu Gui's snack shopping this time, ranging from hundreds of yuan to dozens of yuan. Although the amount was not large, it was a heartache.
However, the physical pain was of no avail, and the fortune teller couldn't pay for it.Besides, he has been relying on him to do errands and purchases for the past few months, and Bu Gui's good pair of shoes have become tattered because of this. How can he have the nerve to rely on others after losing his money?
The fortune teller returned to the room, feeling gloomy. At this time, someone knocked on the door. It turned out to be unknown, and he was holding a bag of things in his hand.
Bu Gui said angrily: "Junior Brother Ming, are they still angry with me?"
Ming said vaguely: "Senior Brother Bu, have you heard the story of the broken oil bottle?"
Divination Gui asked: "What story?"
Ming unknownly said: "A man went to the street and bought a bottle of oil. He was walking with it in his arms. He slipped on the road and broke the oil bottle. The man didn't look back and continued walking. A passerby said hurriedly: 'Hey, Your oil bottle is broken!' Brother Bu, what do you think the man's answer was?"
The fortune-telling turtle was not very smart, so he scratched his head and said, "I don't know."
Ming said indifferently: "The oil bottle is broken, what can I do if I turn back?"
Bu Gui was stunned for a moment, seeming to understand but not understanding.
Ming said vaguely: "The money has been lost, so what's the use of regretting it? Just help the brothers more in the future."
Bu Gui suddenly understood and nodded repeatedly.
Ming unknown squatted down, opened the bag, took out a pair of brand new monk shoes, and said, "Try it on, do you think it fits?"
The fortune teller hurriedly asked: "What is this?"
Ming said vaguely: "This is a gift from Abbot Juejian. I think it's suitable for you to wear. But don't tell anyone about it. Let Abbot Juejian know. It doesn't look good on your face."
Divination Gui asked: "Then when people ask, how should I answer?"
Ming said vaguely: "Just say that I bought it myself. You work in the hall and have some salary."
The fortune teller said again: "These shoes are so beautiful, I can't keep them."
Ming said vaguely: "Your original pair of shoes have been worn out from going up and down the mountain and can no longer be worn. Put on these new shoes and you will be able to walk faster when you help your brothers buy things in the future."
Bu Gui was so moved that he hugged Ming Wuxi and cried, "Junior Brother Ming, you are such a good person!" Ming Wuxi waited for him to finish crying and let him try on the shoes. They were a little narrow, but they fit well.
The second day after putting on the new shoes, Bu Gui noticed that everyone's eyes changed when they looked at him.He thought it was because everyone was still worried about losing the money. He just thought that these people were so stingy and after all, they were not as generous as Junior Brother Ming.
However, from that day on, no one asked him to go down the mountain to buy anything.Slowly, he also felt that he seemed to be left out and there were unexplained whispers behind his back.
Dio Gui was a little anxious. This was his "friend" that he finally got. He didn't understand what was going on.He can only work harder and take on more work to please this group of friends.
Gradually, the fellow apprentices at Zhengjian Hall became a little lazy and did not pay so much attention to the cleaning work. The less careful they are, the more they can do. The more they do, the less careful they are.
In April, Juejian came to the Zhengjian Hall to find Abbot Jueming. He saw that Mingwuxi was chopping firewood with Buli and other disciples. He saw that Mingwuji was still wearing old shoes on his feet, and he felt doubtful. He saw Ming Wuxiang shaking his head at him. He followed Ming Wuxiang's gaze and saw that the new pair of shoes were being worn on Bu Gui's feet.
He knew the story of Bu Li, and also knew that after Ming Wu came to the Zhengjian Hall, Bu Li, who had not seen anyone for ten years, was willing to walk out of the room and even get close to other disciples. He thought this must be Ming Wu's contribution. He smiled at Ming Wuxiang, nodded, and left immediately.
"This child did not disappoint me after all." Juejian thought to himself. But before he took two steps, he suddenly turned back and frowned. After a while, he closed his eyes and turned away.
After a while, a monk came over and called the fortune teller over.
"How much firewood will be chopped today?" asked the monk.
Divination turtle said: "One hundred bundles."
"How many did you chop, and how many did the child chop?" the monk asked again.
Divination Gui said: "I split twenty bundles, and Junior Brother Ming split ten bundles."
"You two split thirty bundles of firewood, and the remaining seventy bundles are divided among the twenty disciples?"
"Senior Brother Lu also chopped five bundles." Bu Gui said hurriedly, but his excuse was not recognized.
"You are the leading disciple, and the labor service is so unfair, how do you do it?"
Bu Gui said nonchalantly: "But I was able to finish the chopping today, and the work was not delayed within the time limit."
The monk said: "The leading disciple does not compete with others to do more work, but strives to be fair in allocating labor, supervises and manages, and performs his or her duties. If there is more work to do than the leading disciple, just choose someone who is strong and strong, and you also need to choose the age. Is it long?"
The fortune teller was speechless.
The monk said: "From now on, the distribution of labor must be fair. I will supervise it next time. If someone is lazy again, I will punish you."
The fortune teller said yes.
However, he could no longer control his fellow apprentices at Zhengjian Hall.
The labor assigned to him, no matter how large or small, was never completed.Although the number of people was not small, the main hall of the Sutra Pavilion was still not as bright as before. Chopping wood and carrying water wasted time every day, which earned him a lot of scolding.
When the fortune teller is anxious, he will say a few words to everyone. After a long time, it is useless and he will scold everyone.
However, scolding is useless. On the contrary, after this period of time, no one has come to him for an outing, drinking tea and chatting for a long time.
He finally realized that he was being squeezed out.
But he doesn't know why.
Only with Lu Changfeng's occasional urging would those disciples work seriously.
No one took him seriously.
He anxiously asked Ming Wu for help, but Ming Wu only advised him to let it go and suggested that he talk to Lu Changfeng.
But Lu Changfeng always avoided him deliberately.
One day, in a fit of rage, he beat a junior fellow apprentice.Everyone seemed to be frightened, and then they started to work seriously.
He remembered what Ming Wuxi had told him this month. He felt regretful and apologized to the junior brother. The junior brother said a few perfunctory words and then hid far away.
After that day, the other brothers began to work seriously, and the work was finally completed as scheduled. Bu Guizhong was praised by the monk again.
Although this method is rough, it is effective. Whenever the brothers are lazy, as long as he yells a few words or even hits someone, the remaining brothers will start working, and no one seems to complain to the cousin.
But Lu Changfeng stopped working.
He always looked at Di Gui with disdain. No matter how much Di Gui yelled, he remained unmoved and seemed to want to provoke Di Gui to beat him.
The tasks that Lu Changfeng did not do were all handled by Ming Wuxiang, which made Bu Gui feel even more sorry for Ming Wuxiang.
One day, Bu Gui finally couldn't bear it anymore and punched Lu Changfeng.Lu Changfeng, however, seemed to have been waiting for a long time, and avoided it easily. He grabbed Bu Gui's arm and twisted it, making Bu Gui scream in pain.
He heard all the brothers clapping their hands and cheering.
He felt extremely humiliated, just like the humiliation of being driven away from his own child by other parents as a child, the humiliation of being stoned by other children.
Only Ming Wuxi anxiously persuaded Lu Changfeng to let go.
Only Ming Wuxi was his friend, his first and last friend.
"It was me who hurt you." Ming said unknownly, and gave him a bottle of bruise ointment in Bu Gui's room.
"It has nothing to do with you." Bu Gui said, "They hate me."
"They thought you stole their money." Ming Wuxiang pointed to the new shoes on his feet. "They thought you bought these shoes with the stolen money, I heard them say that."
Divining Turtle suddenly realized that this was the reason why they were gradually alienating themselves.
"I explained it to them, but they didn't believe it," Ming said.
"What should we do?" Bu Gui asked.
Ming said vaguely: "I will go to Abbot Juejian tomorrow to testify and clear your name, so that they will believe you."
"Is it useful?" Bu Gui asked.
"You give up your identity as the leading disciple to Senior Brother Lu." Ming said vaguely, "Senior Brother Lu will forgive you. If Senior Brother Lu forgives you, other senior brothers will forgive you."
forgive? After Ming Wuwen left, Bu Gui lay on the bed, tossing and turning.
Only this time, he didn't believe Ming Mo because he had scolded them and beaten them.
As long as Lu Changfeng is around, he will not be able to regain everyone's trust, because everyone likes Lu Changfeng. He is handsome, tall, good at martial arts, well-educated, and brave enough to do justice.
Compared with him, I am just a hunchback.
During this time, Bu Gui finally walked outside the house. The world outside the house was huge, but it was so heavy that he couldn't stand upright. He seemed to have retreated into the small dark room again. He was the only one in the narrow room, practicing the iron bridge, trying desperately to make his hunchback straighter.
He finally understood that he had always been jealous of Lu Changfeng.
He took out the secret book of Dragon Claw Hand from the drawer, put it in his arms, and walked out under the cover of night.
He knew where Lu Changfeng's room was. He was not a thief, but he could make Lu Changfeng become a thief.Stealing the secrets of the Sutra Pavilion was a serious crime. As long as he said tomorrow morning that the Sutra Pavilion had been stolen, all the monks' residences in the Zhengjian Hall would be searched, and Lu Changfeng would seize the stolen goods.
He could also say that Lu Changfeng was the thief who stole the money. With clear and unknown testimony, he proved that he did not buy the shoes with stolen money, and Lu Changfeng was the most likely thief.
Then he and his "friends" can "resolve the misunderstanding". This is how he can regain the trust of his "friends".
He tiptoed, avoiding the patrolling monk, and arrived outside Lu Changfeng's room.It was a two-bedroom house. He gently pushed the door open. Lu Changfeng lived in the one on the right. He pushed it and damn, the door was locked.
He went around to the back and saw that the window was open, so he climbed in through the window.
He had no experience climbing through windows, and when he thought he could get through, the hump on his back hit the window panel, making a loud noise. He was shocked and turned pale, but before he had time to retreat, Lu Changfeng was awakened, saw the figure outside the window, and shouted: "There is a thief, there is a thief!"
Lu Changfeng rushed over. Bu Gui wanted to exit the window, but his hump was stuck. He couldn't move for a moment, and Lu Changfeng grabbed him by the collar.Lu Changfeng recognized it as Bu Gui and said in surprise: "Why is it you? Why did you break into my room in the middle of the night?!"
There was a "boom" in Bu Gui's mind, and everything was blurry. He just wanted to struggle to escape quickly. If he is caught here, he will never make friends again in his life. But Lu Changfeng's martial arts skills were far superior to his, so how could he get away?In the critical moment, he had no time to think deeply. Bu Gui's right hand formed a claw, thrust forward quickly, and used one of the moves of the dragon claw hand that he had practiced for more than half a year, "breaking through the tough", and smashed it towards Lu Changfeng's throat.
Lu Changfeng knew the depth of Bu Gui's martial arts, so he didn't care about his blow. He still held Bu Gui's collar with both hands and just twisted his neck to dodge.
However, he was wrong. Bu Gui's claw still grabbed his throat and pulled hard, breaking his trachea.Lu Changfeng grabbed his throat with both hands and couldn't breathe. He couldn't breathe. He fell to the ground and died within a moment.
Divination Gui did not escape either. The monks and disciples who came after hearing the sound captured him and pushed him to the ground.
This incident shocked the Shaolin Temple. The monks of Zhengjian Hall framed him, killed fellow disciples, stole books and killed people, and studied martial arts privately. Any of them could be punished by death.
At this time, there was a lot of commotion in the temple over the death of a fight between secular and secular people. At this juncture, Divination Gui killed the disciples in the temple as both a secular and a secular person, which aroused the sensitive nerves in the temple, making this matter vague and ambiguous. It has reached the height of the struggle between morality and secularity.
I met Di Gui once in prison for unknown reasons. I didn't ask anything, and Di Gui couldn't tell me anything. The two of them were speechless, Bu Gui just stared at Ming's unknown face.
"Junior brother Ming's face is still so good-looking, much prettier than Lu Changfeng." From the first time we met, he had been thinking about Ming's unknown face. Bu Gui thought to himself, "If I have this face in my next life, I should also Have a lot of friends.”
Before leaving, Ming Gui said: "Thank you, friend. I will pay back what I owe you in my next life."
Ming nodded and didn't look back.
The instructions from Zhengye Hall came quickly.
The sentence will be decided.
The death penalty in Shaolin Temple is not beheading. Based on the compassionate spirit of Buddhism, they choose a more painless method of execution. After the prisoner is tied up, he kneels in front of him and the torturer stands behind him. He must be a monk who has learned the powerful finger skills of the Dragon Claw Hand or above. Most of these monks were lay monks. They used their finger power to break the Feishu and Xinshu points on the back of the victim. After one blow, the victim's heart and lungs were broken, and he died silently and painlessly.
Today's executioner used the only martial art that Divining Turtle knew, which was used to kill Lu Changfeng - Dragon Claw Hand.
Divination Gui knelt on the execution ground and looked around, but he didn't see Ming or Wu.
This must be karma. The fortune teller closed his eyes and suddenly remembered the story Abbot Jueming told him, the story he liked very much, about Gandado and the spider.
"Perhaps that spider silk was not meant to free Gandado." Divination Turtle thought to himself, "It was just meant to make him fall deeper and harder..."
He felt a pain in his back, and the pain spread to his chest. Before he had time to react to his whole body, his consciousness had spread, and a heavy sleepiness came over him.

After Dio Gui's death, Ming Wuxi applied to let him clean up the magical power storehouse alone. Everyone thought that this was a way for him to commemorate Dio Gui, so they agreed.
An older senior brother became the leading disciple, and the cleaning in the Zhengjian Hall was as good as ever. The windows were clear and neat, and every disciple was sincere and conscientious, and no one was lazy anymore.
It's just that they will never travel together again, and they will have less interactions with each other.
Each of them carries a heavy sense of guilt.
Like the hump on the back of a fortune-telling turtle.
(End of this chapter)
