When I write a bug it becomes the core gameplay.

Chapter 313: Silky and smooth in the early stage?

Chapter 313: Silky and smooth in the early stage?

Lecturer Ding had no idea what to say.

Why can’t it be silky smooth in the early stage and also in the later stage?

What I mean is, does it have to have this "constipation-like" link?
Judging from the previous successful games of Against the Heaven, this statement seems to be nonsense, but Mr. Gu's expression is extremely sincere, and it seems that every word is very authentic.

Lecturer Ding wanted to ask a few more questions, but Gu Fan had already stood up.

“Okay, there are still a lot of things to do at the booth, I have to go take care of them.

“In short, this is just an ordinary exhibition. Both Shadow World and Endless Fantasy Legend are just trial demos and cannot represent the final effect of the game.

“The specific situation is still subject to the official version of the game.

"You should go to other game manufacturers' booths more often."

Gu Fan took a bottle of water from the side and handed it to Lecturer Ding, then continued to work.

Lecturer Ding looked at Gu Fan's back in confusion, and then decisively returned to the end of the line to continue queuing.

“Go to other manufacturers’ booths? Sorry, not interested!
"I want to see what this Endless Fantasy Legend is all about!"

……

Finally, another two hours passed and Lecturer Ding was finally able to get in again.

"I want to see what kind of game Mr. Gu said was 'smooth in the early stages but constipated in the later stages'!"

Lecturer Ding had just sat down when the two people next to him stood up together because their time was up.

It looked like they came together and were chatting as they walked out.

“The new game Against the Heaven is pretty good and interesting. It’s worth buying as soon as it’s released!”

"Indeed, previous games of Against the Heaven's Glory were only fun after discovering the hidden mechanisms, but this game seems to be quite fun without the hidden mechanisms. It's just that there are still a lot of small bugs."

"I heard it's made with a new engine, but I can't really tell."

"Yes, I thought it was similar to Ascension, but it's quite different. Even the battle system is different."

The two chatted briefly and then packed up and left, which made Lecturer Ding feel a little itchy and even more curious.

I quickly picked up the controller and started playing.

There is the same prompt in front of the computer screen.

"The current game is an internal test demo. The gameplay and graphics do not represent the final quality of the official version of the game!"

However, Lecturer Ding was already immune to this sentence. He simply ignored it and turned to look at the game screen.

There was a human-shaped stone sculpture on the screen. Instructor Ding simply pressed a few buttons on the handle. Along with the vibration from the handle, the human-shaped stone sculpture in front of him shattered, and a cartoon-style warrior protagonist with a body size of about four heads broke free from his restraints.

His appearance features some characteristics of both Oriental and Western people, and he also has pointed ears of an elf. He is a bit similar to the image of some cartoon heroes in the two-dimensional world, but retains the consistent style of Western fantasy.

Although it may seem a little awkward at first glance, it fits in quite well with the environment. The art of Against the Heaven is still very strong. Although it is not the Western fantasy realistic style that they are best at, it is still above the industry average.

After running a few laps, Instructor Ding expressed the same sentiment as the two players just now.

"This is also using the Universal Editor? Nitiantang has invested a lot of money this time, right? How many bugs have been fixed!"

Previously, the Wanxiang Editor had only successfully made one game, which was "Ascension".

However, the success of Ascension is also not replicable. After all, it is the only game that is full of bugs and people still regard it as a feature. Later, many game companies also used the Universal Editor to make games, but the results were so bad that even their mothers could not recognize them.

Even though the official later made a lot of functional fixes to the Vientiane Editor and some deep-rooted old bugs were fixed, most companies still stay away from it.

When players saw that "Endless Fantasy Legend" was produced with the Universal Editor, they thought they would be able to play "Ascension 2" or another game with a lot of visual bugs, but they didn't expect that it was quite different from what everyone thought.

Instructor Ding began to explore the usage of each key.

“The joystick is self-explanatory. ABXY stands for speed running, item interaction, jump, and attack… Pressing and holding the attack button can charge the attack, and there is a small combo when pressing it continuously. You can also use speed running or jumping to perform some special attacks…

“The left and right arrow keys are used to change different weapons and props.

"Hey, this game actually has so many weapon slots? It gives me five slots right from the start!
"Press the left stick to crouch and sneak, and press the right stick to lock onto the monster.

“The up key is for selecting special abilities.

"The left shoulder button is for defense, the right shoulder button is for throwing weapons, the left trigger button is for using special abilities, and the right trigger button is for archery...

"Huh, there are so many special abilities? Five!
"In addition to earth, water, fire and wind, there is also a 'time' ability?"

There is nothing much to say about the key positions of the game itself. With the development of action games, most of the function buttons of the controllers have been basically fixed. They are all similar and easy for players to get started.

There are two main differences between Endless Fantasy Legend and other games. One is that the right shoulder button is turned into a throwing weapon, which is rare in other games; the other is that the left trigger button is made into a special ability button, so the archery function has to be integrated into the right trigger button.

After pressing the up button of the D-pad, a check box will appear on the screen, and you can select different abilities by moving the joystick.

At this time, pressing the left trigger button will automatically enter the ready state of this ability.

For example, the fire element's ability is to create bombs. At this time, holding down the left trigger button can instantly condense the power of fire and create a bomb. Then, through the combination of other buttons, you can make some quick applications of special abilities.

For example, if you hold down the left trigger button, pressing the right trigger button will cause a throwing curve to appear, and you can throw after releasing it;
The other operations are the same. While holding down the left trigger button, press the A at the bottom of ABXY to automatically throw it under your feet, while the BX keys are to your right and left respectively.

The Y key is special. It will directly hang the bomb on the currently locked monster.

There can be a total of three fire element bombs, which are continuously charged.

The ability of the earth element is to burrow underground, and the operation is similar. Press the left trigger button to enter the underground state. Through the ABXY combination key, the player can travel through different areas below, side, and above.

However, there are many limitations to burrowing underground. If you burrow upwards, you will continue to burrow until you reach a place where there is no soil and you can expose your head; but if you burrow downwards, the character will only be able to burrow a little bit below the ground at most.

At this time, the camera can see the shadow of the character, who can move quickly and freely in the soil and choose the right time to return to the ground.
