Self-struggle starting from Douluo

Chapter 387 Entering the Wooden Gate and Climbing the Stone Steps

The white fog was so thick that you couldn't see anything five steps away.

If it just blocks the vision, it is completely useless for the practitioners, because after reaching the "perception" realm, the practitioners no longer need the help of the naked eyes, and can directly communicate with the vital energy of heaven and earth through telekinesis to observe the world.

But the white fog is obviously not that simple. When you use telekinesis to communicate with the vital energy of heaven and earth in the white fog, the vital energy of heaven and earth will naturally riot.

The stronger the power of thought, the stronger the turmoil of the vital energy of heaven and earth.

Within the area covered by the white fog, there is a large formation, a large formation specially designed for practitioners!
I heard that Haotian Dao also has a large formation called "Cage", which can completely isolate the vital energy of heaven and earth. Without the vital energy of heaven and earth, practitioners are no different from ordinary people.

The white fog formation before one's eyes will cause a riot of the heaven and earth's vital energy as the power of thought arises, and naturally it cannot be controlled. Once a cultivator falls into the white fog formation, he will be no different from an ordinary person with his eyes blindfolded.

After standing in the white mist for a while, Qinghuan figured this out. After a moment of silence, he clasped his hands together, closed his eyes, chanted a scripture, and took a step forward.

It was clearly a steep downhill slope, but Qing Huan stepped on the void step by step and climbed up...

It was clearly a cliff, but Qing Huan walked through it step by step as if it were flat ground...

There was a rock in front of her, but Qing Huan passed through it as if it were nothing...

There is a lake under my feet, and Qing Huan walks on the water step by step...

Completely unaffected by the outside environment, Qinghuan simply followed the instructions in her heart and walked forward step by step.

All appearances are false!
……

The mountain top is among clouds.

"Teacher, how did he do that?"

"The young monk has realized 'telepathy'. He no longer needs to communicate with the energy of heaven and earth. Instead, he can directly empathize with all living things in heaven and earth. Disrupting the energy of heaven and earth will naturally have no effect on him."

"Teacher, what you mean is that the rocks, trees, flowers and plants on the mountain are telling him the way up the mountain?"

"Rather than telling him the way up the mountain, it's better to say that the mountain is paving the way for him. The little monk just needs to walk, and the road will naturally be paved under his feet."

"Teacher, why do the stone characters carved on the shore have no effect on him?"

"The primordial energy of heaven and earth is the breath of all things in heaven and earth. The little monk's 'telepathy' is in tune with the hearts of all things in heaven and earth, so the primordial energy of heaven and earth will naturally not harm him... As long as he is made of the primordial energy of heaven and earth, water will not drown him, fire will not burn him, the earth will not sink him, and the wind will not blow him away. It is not an exaggeration to say that he is 'invulnerable to all attacks.'"

"Look, we've reached the wooden gate."

"The words of Chaimen should not be easy to remember. Only the upper-level Dongxuan can remember them. This has nothing to do with the vitality of heaven and earth. In the final analysis, Junior Brother is only at the "Unconfused" level."

"Just watch."

……

Qing Huan had already walked to a wooden gate. Not far from the gate, there was a stone on the road with four large characters engraved on it:

"A gentleman is not confused."

Can a gentleman distinguish right from wrong and not be confused?
Qinghuan seemed to be thinking about something. She walked over the stone and came to the wooden door. There was a wooden sign hanging on the door with three words written on it: "A gentleman does not ()".

This is a fill-in-the-blank question.

Qinghuan picked up the powder stone and was about to fill it in, but was shocked to find that he had forgotten what the word he had just seen was!

After a little thought, Qinghuan put down the powder stone and did not choose to look back at the four words. Since he could not remember them just now, he would not be able to remember them no matter how many times he looked at them.

He just put his hands together, looked very pious, and began to sing: "Little rabbit, open the door, open it quickly, I want to come in!"

A puff of green smoke came out of the wooden sign, and with a creak, the wooden door slowly opened in front of him.

Behind the wooden gate is a straight stone staircase extending upward into the fog.

Qinghuan silently chanted "Amitabha" and stepped onto the stone path.

……

At the top of the mountain, the group of people were speechless.

"He just walked in through the wooden gate like that?"

"What do you mean by 'good little rabbit'? Is he talking about us?"

"This wooden door is too spineless. Just singing a few lines, you open it?"

"Master just said that the little monk shares the same heart with all things, and all things make way for him. If he wants to come in, the wooden gate will not block him. It has nothing to do with what he sings."

"Master, Junior Brother is hinting that you are a little rabbit."

"When he comes up, I will make him pay!"

"Master, why is Junior Brother standing still? Given his state of mind, the stone steps should be the easiest to pass through, right?"

"You are wrong. The little monk has amazing comprehension and profound Buddhist teachings. Such people either have a clear mind and are free from inner demons, but once they are infected with inner demons, they are the most stubborn and the hardest to extricate themselves. One thought can make you a Buddha or one thought can make you a demon. Liansheng is the best example."

When the name "Lian Sheng" was mentioned, Yu Lian, who had just arrived, had a slight change on his cold face.

"The little monk is exactly like Liansheng. With the precedent of Liansheng, I, the master, intervened and gave some advice to the little monk, so that he would not be corrupted by that group of monks like Liansheng... But this little monk is indeed very likable."

"The Master likes Junior Brother Qinghuan very much."

"He changed his Dharma name from 'Qing Ku' to 'Qing Huan'. Life is a sea of suffering, life is a place of joy, two completely different attitudes. Naturally, I prefer 'Qing Huan'."

……

The teacher on the top of the mountain talked about "Lotus Birth".

Qinghuan on the stone steps also heard the sound of "Lian Sheng".

After he stepped onto the stone steps, he heard the voice of Master Qishan.

The appearance of Master Qishan naturally appeared in front of me. It was a Zen room opened in a cave. Master Qishan was leaning against the head of the bed, covered with a thick quilt.

At a young age, Qinghuan sat by the bed, serving tea and listening to Master Qishan talk, tucking in the quilt from time to time.

This was the night before Qinghuan left the Lankao Temple in Washan. Master Qishan introduced him to the scene of this world and mentioned Liansheng, a perfect abnormal person.

Liansheng was born in a noble family in the State of Song to the east of Xiling. Legend has it that the water lilies in the back garden bloomed overnight on the night he was born, so he was named "Liansheng".

Liansheng, a son of an aristocratic family, was normal at first. He studied, took exams, got an official title, and married like any other son of an aristocratic family. But everything changed after his wife died of illness.

After his wife died of illness, Liansheng was sad and haggard, and did not smile for three months. Until one rainy night, he seemed to have figured something out, wrote a "Mourning Essay for My Wife", and left with a big laugh.

In the following years, Liansheng began to visit many spiritual sects, but he was still unable to find a way to practice.

It was not until he came to Washan and Lanke Temple and met Master Qishan that he was enlightened by Master Qishan's words and developed a heart towards Buddhism.

After Liansheng was enlightened, he debated with the abbot of Lanke Temple for thirty-two days. During this period, the strange phenomena attracted countless famous scholars and writers to come and see him. From then on, the name of Master Liansheng began to spread in the world.

Young Master Liansheng also became Master Lianshan, and began to become a monk in Lanke Temple, embarking on the path of spiritual practice. Even when Xiling invited him, he refused.

At this time, Master Liansheng had already been called "Son of Buddha".

After that, Master Liansheng soared into the sky. After finishing his practice in Lanke Temple, he went to the Hanging Temple in an unknown place of Buddhism, where he sat as the abbot to preach and practice.

After he was born, he killed the two elders of the Demon Sect and was revered as the guardian of the Buddhist sect by both the Baita Temple of Yuelun Kingdom and the Lankao Temple of Washan.

Afterwards, he entered the Xiling Temple and served as the High Priest of Judgment. He was highly respected by the world and was also the first Buddhist disciple in history to serve as the High Priest of the Xiling Temple.

It was not until the bloody incident at Lanke Temple that Liansheng admitted his dereliction of duty, resigned from the position of high priest, and disappeared without a trace.

Such a perfect and magnificent life, the world believes that such a perfect person cannot be acquired through practice, but can only be born extraordinary, so later generations commented on Liansheng:
"A lotus from the West gracefully fell to the earth and produced thirty-two petals, each petal was different, and each petal was a world."

Young Master Liansheng, Master Liansheng, Dharma Protector Liansheng, the Divine Throne of Liansheng—Liansheng Thirty-two!

Master Liansheng was good at writing and calligraphy. He practiced asceticism to see the world, meditated quietly by reading old books, and practiced without hindrance. He attained enlightenment in the Lanke Temple and attained the state of knowing destiny in a few years. He was proficient in Buddhism and Taoist techniques. He was a great writer and calligrapher, the guardian of the Buddhist sect, and the chief priest of the temple.

Master Padmasambhava is willing to be close to all the beauty in the world, has the ability to understand all the laws of the world, and has the courage to take on all the things in the world. He is a flawless existence in the eyes of the world!
Qinghuan has had a clear Buddhist mind and extraordinary understanding since childhood. He understands Buddhist principles without any instruction. At a young age, he received the comment from Master Qishan that "no one can teach this."

So after Master Qishan finished explaining the 32nd Lotus Birth, Qing Huan frowned and said seriously, "There can't be such a perfect person in this world!"

But he couldn't prove his point because Liansheng Sanshier had disappeared and was most likely dead.

Qinghuan couldn't find a dead person to verify his judgment, so although he concluded that there could not be such a perfect person as Liansheng in the world, a trace of doubt still remained in his heart.

And this trace of doubt was buried deep in my heart, becoming an insignificant inner demon!
So after Qinghuan left the Lankao Temple in Washan, he passed through the Dahe Kingdom, crossed the wild forest, entered the Yuelun Kingdom, and headed west.

Because he wanted to be like Liansheng, crossing the river to the ink pond, passing through the wild forest to the moon, and finally entering the Hanging Temple...

Qing Huan wants to prove that what he can't do, others can't do either! And what others can do, he can do too!
……

What Qinghuan didn't know was that behind Liansheng's brilliant life, there was also a terrifying darkness hidden.

This darkness caused Master Qishan to be troubled and tortured by regret throughout his life.

Master Qishan was able to enlighten Liansheng and lead him into Buddhism, but after accepting Qinghuan, Master Qishan no longer dared to do so.

He only let Qing Huan recite the sutras, but never explained the meaning, never taught the practice methods, and never mentioned the realm of practice...

Master Qishan can teach one Liansheng, so he can naturally teach a second one, but he declared that Qinghuan "has no one to teach"... He is afraid that he will teach a second Liansheng!

It was not until the Master intervened and pointed out Qinghuan's problem, allowing Qinghuan to break through the three realms in a row and embark on the path of cultivation, that Master Qishan breathed a sigh of relief.

Perhaps, this was what he had been expecting!
The phrase "no one can teach" might be intended to attract the Master's attention. (End of this chapter)
