The equipment system includes 8 self-propelled torpedo tubes at the bow that can launch various types of torpedoes, 4 of which can launch "Eagle Strike" anti-ship missiles. Excluding the 8 in the launch tubes, the boat can carry 24 torpedoes or missiles, equipped with a rapid loading device.

In terms of avionics systems, it is equipped with an integrated combat system with functions such as track management, target motion analysis, tactical situation display, control and guidance of torpedoes, and support for missile launches. The core of the system is the command and weapon control system, which receives and analyzes all input information, and then automatically starts the combat program. The integrated sensors and systems that provide information to the integrated combat system include sonar systems, surface sensors, navigation systems and communication information.

The sonar system consists of a side array, a cylindrical bow array and a reconnaissance sonar. It can perform low-frequency warning, noise monitoring, active/passive ranging, identification, attack and other tasks. It can automatically track 8 targets at the same time, and detect surface ships at a distance of 70 kilometers in active mode and 25 kilometers in passive mode. The entire system adopts full digital technology and distributed computer structure, with good variability, applicability, availability and reliability.

The mine detection and lightning avoidance sonar system is a high-resolution active sonar that can be used to detect mines, accurately locate and navigate mines, and enable submarines to navigate safely away from mines and mine barriers. When working in the high-frequency band, the detection distance can reach 2000.

It can be said that the Type 39 submarine possesses too many advanced technologies.
