Section [-] Hedonic Personality: Exaggerated Self Loves Bragging

Aspects of mind reading:
What kind of person belongs to "hedonic personality"?
Wonderful interpretation of mind:
The word "glamorous" is perfect for the hedonist. They are very gregarious and articulate; they are charming and fun-loving.Whatever you propose, they want to do; wherever you propose to go, they want to go.Hedonists are enthusiastic and straightforward, and they are used to expressing their emotions with exaggerated physical movements such as hugging, patting or stroking.

However, while being heartthrobs, their personality tendencies to avoid problems and avoid disadvantages often make them veritable braggarts, as Ji Sunshi in the Warring States Period was such a person.

Ai Zi was a native of Qi during the Warring States period. He had been a diner at the home of Mr. Mengchang, one of the "Four Gentlemen of the Warring States Period" for three years. Mr. Mengchang respected him very much and regarded him as a guest.Later Aizi returned from Qi to Lu and met Jisun.

Ji Sun asked him: "You have lived in Qi State for so long, so who is the most talented person in Qi State?" Ai Zi said: "There is no one better than Mengchang Jun." Ji Sun said: "What does Mengchang Jun have? Virtue?" Ai Zi said: "Mr. Mengchang has three thousand diners in his family, and Mr. Mengchang is not bored at all by the diners who wear well and eat well. If he is not a good person, can he do this?"

Ji Sun sneered and said, "You are looking down on me. My family also has three thousand diners. Could it be that only Tian Wen, who is known as Lord Mengchang, has this virtue?" Hearing what he said, Ai Zi felt awe Qi respected and said: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just now know that you are also a great sage of the Lu State. I will visit you tomorrow and meet the three thousand diners at your house." Ji Sun said: "Okay."

Early the next morning, Ai Zi washed and dressed and went to visit. As soon as he entered Jisun's gate, it was very quiet, and in the hall, there was not even a single person. Ai Zi wondered: Could it be that the diners live in other buildings? After a long time, Ji Sun came out, and Ai Zi asked him, "Where are the diners?" Ji Sun pretended to be disappointed and said, "Sir, you came too late, and the three thousand diners went home for dinner. !" Ai Zifang knew that he had been fooled by Jisun, sneered at him from the bottom of his heart, sneered twice and left.

Why does Ji Sunshi like to show off and say things that don't match the facts?Psychologists believe that the need to compensate for the ego is a common psychological cause of bragging.Similarly, hedonists like to exaggerate their abilities and status, which is actually out of psychological compensation. They brag about themselves in front of others not only to make up for the gap and achieve their own ideal psychologically, but also to make themselves attractive and hope to be admired and admired by others.Secondly, they expect to use big words to improve self-confidence and reduce inner fear and anxiety. For example, when an opponent challenges them, they can deliberately "contempt" the opponent through bragging and at the same time increase their self-confidence.

Knowing the reasons why hedonists are used to bragging, and interacting with them, we can be targeted:

1.give them a chance to show themselves

For example, even if you know that they are bragging, you should also listen carefully and praise them in due course; when participating in group activities, encourage them to perform and express themselves appropriately. In short, use all means to satisfy their desire for self-expression.When they think that others have seen their value, they will naturally not use bragging to get others' attention.

2.don't praise them too much

Excessive praise can easily bring a psychological burden to the hedonists, causing them to develop in two directions, either becoming anxious and easily retreating when encountering difficulties; more than their own facts.Whenever this happens, the hedonist who is good at escapism starts to weave one ideal scenario after another to numb himself. Therefore, when praising them, be sure to seek truth from facts, not exaggerate, and point out the shortcomings to them under the premise of praise.

3.Lead by example and set a good example

As the saying goes, "the one who is close to the vermilion is red, and the one who is close to the ink is black". If we usually like to brag, when others find out that the truth is not like that, we will have a feeling of being deceived, and then we will fall into the vortex of bragging. So we must lead by example and set a good example for others.
