4.1
The Master said: "Benevolence is beautiful, if you choose not to be benevolent, how will you know?"

4.2
The Master said: "Those who are not benevolent should not be able to keep promises for a long time, and they cannot be happy with their strengths. The benevolent are safe with benevolence, and those who know are benevolent."

The Master said: "Only the benevolent can be good and evil."

The Master said: "If you aim at benevolence, there is no evil."

The Master said: "Wealth and honor are what people desire; if you don't get them according to the way, you don't want to live there. Poverty and lowliness are what people hate; if you don't get them according to the way, you don't want to go. The gentleman goes." Benevolence, is it evil to become famous? A gentleman will never end up violating benevolence.

The Master said: "I have never seen a person who loves benevolence and hates someone who is not benevolent. Those who love benevolence have no respect for them; those who hate inhumaneness are called benevolence, and they are not allowed to be added to their bodies. Will they be able to use their power for benevolence one day? ? I haven’t seen anyone who lacks strength. It’s covered, but I haven’t seen it.”

The Master said: "A person's faults belong to his own party. After observing the faults, he knows benevolence."

The Master said: "If you hear the Tao in the morning, you can die in the evening."

The Master said: "Scholars who aspire to the Tao, but are ashamed of those who wear bad clothes and bad food, are not enough to discuss."

The Master said: "A gentleman is in the world, there is nothing suitable, there is nothing, and righteousness is comparable."

The Master said, "The gentleman is virtuous, and the villain is cherishing the soil; the gentleman is cherishing punishment, and the villain is cherishing kindness."

The Master said: "According to the interests, there are many complaints."

The Master said: "Is it possible to make a country with courtesy? Why not! You can't make a country with courtesy, how about courtesy!"

The Master said: "Don't worry about having no position, worry about standing; don't worry about not knowing yourself, seek to know it."

The Master said: "Shenhu! My way is consistent."

Zeng Zi said: "Wei." Zi went out.

The doorman asked, "What do you mean?"

Zeng Zi said: "The way of a master is loyalty and forgiveness!"

The Master said: "A gentleman is a metaphor for righteousness, and a villain is a metaphor for profit."

The Master said: "When you see a virtuous person, you think about it; when you see an unvirtuous person, you reflect on yourself."

The Master said: "I have been admonished by my parents a few times. If I do not follow my will, I respect and do not disobey. I work hard but do not complain."

The Master said, "My parents are here, so if you don't travel far, you must travel well."

The Master said: "If you have not changed your father's way for three years, you can be called filial piety."

The Master said: "You must not know the age of your parents; one is for joy and the other for fear."

The Master said: "The ancients can't say it, and they are ashamed of not being able to catch it."

The Master said: "Those who lose the promise are rare!"

Confucius said: "A gentleman wants to be slow in speech, but quick in action."

Confucius said: "Virtue is not alone, there must be neighbors."

Ziyou said: "It is humiliating to serve the number of rulers; it is sparse to have the number of friends."
