(I) Extant manuscripts of Politics

Vat Palimpsestus Vatican Library's "Refurbished Parchment Manuscript" (παλμψησο), the remaining five chapters of the third volume, and several sections of the fourth to fifth chapters of the fourth volume, a total of twelve pages.It was determined to be a tenth-century manuscript with many transcription errors.

M3 "Rare Books of Milan", collected by the Ambrosian Lib in Milan, ordinis superiois No. B105, is the second half of the 15th century manuscript.

P1 "Codex No. 2023 in Paris", bibliography No. 15 of the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, written by No.11 and the famous school copywriter "Demetrius Chalcondylos" (Demetrius Chalcondylos) in the 1th century.Busch: "Busse, de Praesidiis As PolEmendanti" (Busse, de Praesidiis As PolEmendanti) says on page 8 that this copy has the fewest errors and is the only one that can preserve the original copy.There are two kinds of collation writing on the text of this manuscript, one is the same ink color as the original copyist, and the other is lighter. In the π1 group, the two manuscripts M[-] and P[-] are the most important.

Γ A pseudonym of the manuscript used by the Vetus Interpres.William (Guiliame of Mirpec) used as a base for the Latin translation, probably a manuscript from the twelfth or thirteenth centuries.This original manuscript is not handed down today, and the Greek version based on the existing Latin translation is used as the Γ version.

P2 "Paris Codex II", Bibliothèque de France, Ms Coislin No. 161.Codex No. 14th century, obtained from the monastery of Mount Yasuo (θω), Greece.The text has three collations, one identical to the original, one darker, and one lighter (called the Ib manuscript in the Becker Collation).This is an important manuscript in the π2 group.The following P3 to C4 all belong to the π2 group.

P3 "Paris III", No. 2026, French Bibliotheque, No. Early 14th century manuscript: the oldest complete manuscript in existence.The ink color of proofreading handwriting is the same as that of the original text.

P4 "Paris IV", manuscript number 2025 of the Bibliothèque de France.

P5 "Paris V", manuscript number 1858 of the Bibliothèque de France.

P6 "Paris VI", manuscript number 1857 of the Bibliothèque de France.

H "Hamiltonianus" (Hamiltonianus), Berlin Hanshi Collection, No. 15th century manuscript.

Harl's "Harrow Codex", Haro Codex No. 6874 in the British Museum, only the fragments of the first volume and the fourth and fifth volumes remain.

Cc "Gamela's Practical Version", which is a manuscript used by Carmelite for proofreading, has been lost.

(II) Ancient Latin translation
William of Mirbeck is now known as the "Ancient Translator".William translated the Latin text of "The Complete Works of Aristotle" in the 13th century; the complete manuscripts of the Greek "Politics" that exist today are all after this translation, so the general proofreaders often use its translation for collation.There are still many manuscripts of the translation of "Politics" in this collection.

o Ancient translation, Oxford manuscript, Balliol College (Balliol College) Collection No. 112, No. It was transcribed in the second half of the 14th century, and it is similar to manuscript c.

y ancient translation, y manuscript, Bodleian CanonClassLat No. 174 of the Bodleian Library, is No. an Italian manuscript in the second half of the 14th century, in addition to the original manuscript, there is another collationist's handwriting.

z ancient translation, z manuscript, manuscript number 891 in the Phillipus Library, Cheltenham, copied in Dalmatia in 1393.

(Ⅲ) Proofread copy of the complete works of Aristotle

Aldiua, printed in Venice in 1498, is the first printed version of the Greek "Complete Works of Aristotle" (Operum Aristotelerum editio princeps).The base used by Aldus is a manuscript belonging to π2.

Basileusis Basle school print.Following the Venetian edition, Basel, Switzerland also published the "Complete Works of Aristotle" in the 16th century; its second edition began to use the Latin translation for collation, and the third edition was published in 1550.

Camotius Camus's revised edition, Aldu's "Aristotle's Complete Works" was revised and expanded by Camus, and the fourth edition was printed in Venice in 1552.

Edited by Cassaubonus, published in Lyons in 1590.

Bekker proofreading.The Prussian Research Institute Becker (IBekker) widely used Greek manuscripts, surveyed the whole book, and compiled "Aristotle's Complete Works" (Aristotelis Opera), quarto five volumes; the first and second volumes in Greek; the third volume in Latin Early translations; the fourth volume is Brandis's collection of interpretations; the fifth volume is Bowitz's "Complete Works of Aristotle" Index (Index Aristotelicus).The book was published in Berlin between 1831 and 1970.

(IV) Proof and translation of Aristotle's Politics

Carve's German translation (two volumes), published in Leipzig in 1799 and 1802.
