10. Shuǐtū

【Indications】①Sore throat; ②Cough, asthma.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.3-0.8 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat tonsillitis, goiter, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, etc.

11. Qishe (Qìshě)

[Naming] Qi refers to the atmosphere in the air; She refers to the dwelling place.The point is close to the airway, like a house outside the air, hence the name.

[Location] Directly below the Renying point, on the upper edge of the medial end of the clavicle, between the sternal head of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the clavicular head.

【Indications】①Sore throat, asthma; ②Hiccups; ③Galls, scrofula; ④Strong neck.

[Acupuncture and Moxibustion] Needling 0.3-0.5 cun.The acupuncture points from Qishe to Rugen in this meridian have large arteries, lungs, liver and other important organs in the deep part, do not prick deeply; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat goiter, bronchitis, etc.

12. Quēpén

[Name] The missing one is broken; the depression is a basin.The point is in the supraclavicular fossa, hence the name.

[Location] In the center of the supraclavicular fossa, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① Cough, asthma, sore throat; ② Pain in the absence of the basin, scrofula.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Needle straight or obliquely 0.3-0.5 cun. "Picture Wing": Pregnant women are forbidden to use needles.

[Application] It is often used in the treatment of bronchitis, lymphatic tuberculosis and local pain in modern times.

13. Qi household (Qìhù)

[Name] The place where it enters and exits is the household, and its acupoints are mainly used for coughing and upper qi, hence the name.

[Location] The lower border of the clavicle, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① Cough, asthma; ② Hiccup; ③ Chest fullness, chest pain.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] oblique or flat 0.5-0.8 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchitis, bronchial asthma, intercostal neuralgia, etc.

14. Warehouse (Kùfánɡ)

[Naming] Ku refers to the Treasury, which stores body fluid and blood, which can transform milk, and is located near the breast, hence the name.

[Location] The first intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① Cough, asthma, coughing up pus and blood in saliva; ② Chest and hypochondriac pain.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] oblique or flat 0.5-0.8 inches; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchitis, bronchial asthma, intercostal neuralgia, pleurisy, etc.

15. House Yi (Wūyì)

[name] house, deep room; shade, hidden.The acupoint is the middle part of the lung, and the breathing air reaches a deep room and is hidden.

[Location] The second intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

【Indications】①Cough, wheezing, coughing up pus and blood in saliva;
③ breast addiction, mastitis.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] oblique or flat 0.5-0.8 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchitis, hemoptysis, pleurisy, mastitis, etc.

16. Ying window (Yīnɡchuānɡ)

【Name】Yin, refers to the chest; window, refers to the hole orifice.Because the acupoint is located in the chest, it is mainly used to treat chest fullness and air blockage, so it is named.

[Location] The third intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① Cough, asthma; ② Chest and hypochondriac pain; ③ Breast abscess.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] oblique or flat 0.5-0.8 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchitis, bronchial asthma, mastitis, and intercostal neuralgia.

17. In the milk (Rǔzhōnɡ)

[Naming] The center of the nipple is named after the part.

【Location】The center of the nipple.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] There is no acupuncture or moxibustion at this acupoint, and it is only used as a positioning mark for chest and abdomen acupoints.

[Application] This point is the positioning mark of chest and abdomen points.

18. Milk root (Rǔɡēn)

[Name] The point is the root of the breast, hence the name.

[Location] Level with the fifth intercostal space, directly below the nipple, and open four inches lateral to the anterior midline; it can be used for moxibustion. .

【Indications】①cough, asthma; ②hiccups; ③chest pain; ④mastitis, less milk.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] oblique or flat 0.5-0.8 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat mastitis, lack of milk, intercostal neuralgia, bronchitis, etc.

19. Tolerance (Bùrónɡ)

[Naming] The capacity is Nashou, and its point is mainly used to treat abdominal distension and unable to accept water and grains, hence the name.

[Location] 6 cun above the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① Vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite; ② Abdominal distension.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Needling 0.5-0.8 cun.Acupuncture is forbidden for those who are overly fed, and for those with hepatomegaly, it is not advisable to perform large-scale lifting and insertion; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcer, gastroptosis, etc.

20. Chengman (Chénɡmǎn)

[Name] Cheng, refers to bear; full, refers to fullness.It is named because this point can cure stomach problems.

[Location] 5 cun above the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ①Stomach pain, vomiting blood, loss of appetite; ②Abdominal distension.

[Acupuncture and Moxibustion] Needling 0.8-1 cun straight.Acupuncture is prohibited for those who are full, and needling should be cautious or prohibited for those with hepatomegaly, and it is not suitable for large-scale lifting and insertion; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in the treatment of gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcer in modern times.

21. Liangmen* (Liánɡmén)

[Name] The accumulation of the heart is Fuliang. This point is mainly used to treat gas accumulation stomach problems and eliminate the accumulation of the lower part of the heart, hence the name.

[Location] 4 cun above the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ①Stomach pain, vomiting, loss of appetite; ②Abdominal distension, loose stool.

[Acupuncture and Moxibustion] Needling 0.8-1.2 cun straight.Acupuncture is prohibited for those who are full, and needling should be cautious or prohibited for those with hepatomegaly, and it is not suitable for large-scale lifting and insertion; moxibustion can be used.

22. Close the door (Guānmén)

[Name] This acupoint is mainly used to treat not thinking about food, and not to eat when the door is closed; it is also used to treat diarrhea, and the door is not closed, so it is named.

[Location] 3 cun above the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

【Indications】①Abdominal distension, abdominal pain, borborygmus and diarrhea; ②Edema.

23. Taiyi (Tàiyǐ)

[Naming] The name of the astrology, also known as "Taiyi", means the original meaning.It is said that this point strengthens the spleen and stomach, and everything in the universe depends on it for life, so it is named.

[Location] 2 cun above the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ①Stomach pain; ②Upset, mania.

24. Huáròumén (Huáròumén)

[Naming] Flexible means slippery, and the tongue is slippery flesh. This point is mainly used for tongue protruding, strong tongue, and vomiting, hence the name.

[Location] 1 cun above the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

【Indications】①Stomach pain, vomiting; ②Madness, tongue sticking out.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.8-1.2 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat acute and chronic gastritis, acute and chronic enteritis, etc.

25. Tianshu* (Tiānshū) large intestine mou point

[Naming] The name of the astrology refers to the first star of the Big Dipper; hub, hub.The Tianshu is next to the navel, which is the boundary between the upper and lower abdomen. The upper navel corresponds to the sky, and the lower navel corresponds to the earth. This is the pivot, hence the name.

[Location] 2 cun lateral to the middle of the navel.

【Indications】①Abdominal distension, borborygmus, pain around the navel, constipation, diarrhea, dysentery; ②Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea.

[Acupuncture and Moxibustion] Needling 1 to 1.5 inches straight. "Thousand Gold Prescriptions": Pregnant women should not moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat acute and chronic gastritis, acute and chronic enteritis, appendicitis, intestinal paralysis, bacillary dysentery, and indigestion.

26. Wàilínɡ

【Name】Outside, for the side; Mausoleum, refers to the high place.The point is on the side of the abdomen, where the abdominal muscles bulge.

[Location] 1 cun below the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① abdominal pain; ② hernia, dysmenorrhea.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat appendicitis, hernia, ureteral stones, etc.

27. Big (Dàjù)

【Naming】Big, huge, with the meaning of high protruding, when the abdominal muscles bulge, hence the name.

[Location] 2 cun below the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① abdominal fullness; ② dysuria; ③ hernia, spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-1.5 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat rectus abdominis spasm, intestinal obstruction, cystitis, urinary retention, etc.

28. Waterway (Shuǐdào)

【Name】Shui means water liquid; Dao means channel.This point is mainly used to treat dysuria, hence the name.

[Location] 3 cun below the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ① fullness in the lower abdomen; ② dysuria; ③ dysmenorrhea, infertility, hernia.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat nephritis, cystitis, urinary retention, oophoritis, etc.

29. Return* (Guīlái)

[name] return, return; come, return.This point is mainly used to treat Yin Ting, Yin Pill Retraction and Hernia, hence the name.

[Location] 4 cun below the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

【Indications】①Dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, leucorrhea, vaginal stiffness;

② Pain in the stem, hernia.

30. Qi Chong (Qìchōnɡ)

【Name】Chong means impulsiveness. The acupoint is located in Qijie, which is equivalent to the beginning of Chongmai, hence the name.

[Location] Slightly above the groin, 5 cun below the middle of the navel, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

[Indications] ①Boborygmus and abdominal pain; ②Hernia, irregular menstruation, infertility, impotence, genital swelling.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.5-1 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat hernia, irregular menstruation, oophoritis, infertility, etc.

31. Biguan (Bìɡuān)

[Name] Tiao, refers to femur; Guan, refers to rotation.The point is close to the joint of the upper end of the femur, hence the name.

[Location] On the front of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lateral end of the patella base, when the hip is flexed, on the level of the perineum, in the depression on the lateral side of the sartorius muscle.

[Indications] ① low back pain, cold knees, flaccidity; ② low back pain.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-2 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is often used in the treatment of lower limb paralysis, inguinal lymphadenitis, lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis, and knee joint lesions in modern times.

32. Fu rabbit * (Fútù)

[Name] Prostrate means lying down, where the quadriceps muscle protrudes, resembling the shape of a rabbit lying down, hence the name.

[Location] On the front of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lateral end of the patella base, 6 cun above the outer edge of the patella.

[Indications] ① low back pain, cold knees, numbness of lower limbs, beriberi; ② hernia.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-2 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is often used in the treatment of lower limb paralysis, lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis and knee joint disease.

33. Yinshi (Yīnshì)

[Name] Yin, cold syndrome; city, market.This point is mainly used to treat cold knee edema and dispel the evil of yin and cold, so it is named.

[Location] On the front of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lateral end of the patella base, 3 cun above the outer edge of the patella.

[Indications] ① paralysis of legs and knees, poor flexion and extension; ② abdominal distension and abdominal pain; ③ hernia.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-1.5 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat lower limb paralysis, knee joint and surrounding soft tissue lesions, etc.

34. Liangqiu* (Liánɡqiū) Qi Point

[Name] The mausoleum starts as a mound, and the acupoint is above the knee, like a mountain ridge, hence the name.

[Location] With the knee bent, in front of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lateral end of the bottom of the patella, 2 cun above the outer edge of the patella.

[Indications] ① Knee swelling and pain, paralysis of lower limbs; ② Stomach pain; ③ Breast pain, mastitis; ④ Hematuria.

35. Du nose (Dúbí)

[Naming] The depressions on both sides of the patellar ligament resemble the nostrils of a calf, hence the name.

[Location] When the knee is flexed, at the inferior edge of the patella, in the depression lateral to the patellar ligament.

[Indications] ① Pain in the knee, flaccidity of lower limbs, poor joint flexion and extension; ② Beriberi.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Bend the knee, obliquely puncture 0.5-1 cun backward and inward; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat paralysis of the lower limbs, knee joint disease, etc.

36. Zusanli* (Zúsānlǐ) combined point; lower stomach combined point
[Name] li, can be interpreted as cun; three, 3 cun below the knee.It is distinguished from Shusanli and named Zusanli.

[Location] On the anterolateral side of the calf, 3 inches below Dangdubi point, one finger (middle finger) from the front edge of the tibia.

【Indications】①Stomach pain, vomiting, hiccups, abdominal distension, diarrhea, dysentery, constipation, borborygmus; ②stroke, paralysis of lower limbs; ③edema; ④madness;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Needling 1 to 2 inches straight; suitable for moxibustion.

[Application] It is often used in the treatment of acute and chronic gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcer, acute and chronic pancreatitis, hepatitis, indigestion, acute and chronic enteritis, bacillary dysentery, appendicitis, shock, nervous headache, hypertension, neurasthenia , Schizophrenia, arteriosclerosis, bronchial asthma, leukopenia, paralysis of the lower limbs, sciatica, knee joint and surrounding soft tissue diseases.

37. Shangjuxu* (Shànɡjùxū) large intestine lower joint point
[Naming] "Up" is relative to "Down"; "Ju", big; virtual, empty.

Juxu, also the name of a horse, refers to the huge void on the outer edge of the tibia, and symbolizes the good walking of the legs, so it is named Shangjuxu.

[Location] On the anterolateral side of the calf, 6 inches below Dangdubi point, one finger (middle finger) from the front edge of the tibia.

[Indications] ①Boborygmus, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, intestinal abscess; ②Stroke paralysis, paralysis of lower limbs; ③Beriberi.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat acute bacillary dysentery, acute enteritis, simple appendicitis, etc.

38. Tiáokǒu

[Name] There is a strip-shaped depression here, which is shaped like a mouth, hence the name.

[Location] On the anterolateral side of the calf, 8 inches below Dangdubi point, one finger (middle finger) from the front edge of the tibia.

[Indications] ① lower extremity flaccidity, paralysis, tendons; ② shoulder pain and inability to lift; ③ epigastric pain.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-1.5 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat lower limb paralysis, periarthritis of shoulder, gastrocnemius muscle spasm, etc.

39. Xiàjùxū (Xiàjùxū) Lower Intestine Acupoint
[Name] This point is located under the upper giant void, hence the name.

[Location] On the anterolateral side of the calf, 9 inches below Dangdubi point, one finger (middle finger) from the front edge of the tibia.

[Indications] ① lower abdominal pain, diarrhea, dysentery; ② lower limb flaccidity; ③ mastitis;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-1.5 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bacillary dysentery, acute and chronic enteritis, and paralysis of the lower limbs.

40. Fenglong* (Fēnɡlónɡ) network point

【Name】Feng means big; Long means Sheng.The muscles are plump and prosperous, hence the name.

[Location] On the anterolateral side of the calf, 8 cun above the high point of the lateral malleolus, 1 cun outside the Tiaokou point, two fingers (middle finger) from the front edge of the tibia.

【Indications】①vomiting, abdominal distension, constipation;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-1.5 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat otic vertigo, high blood pressure, neurasthenia, schizophrenia, bronchitis, gastrocnemius muscle spasm, obesity, etc.

41. Jiexi* (Jiěxī) meridian point

[Name] solution, decomposition, here refers to the ankle joint; creek, ditch stream, depression.The point is in the depression in front of the ankle joint, hence the name.

[Location] In the central depression of the transverse crease at the junction of the dorsum of the foot and the calf, between the extensor longus tendon and the extensor toe longus tendon.

[Indications] ① abdominal distension, constipation; ② headache, dizziness, red eyes; ③ paralysis of lower limbs, swelling and pain in the instep; ④ delirium, mania.

【Acupuncture and moxibustion method】Pierce 0.5~1 inch; moxibustion can be done.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat foot drop, nervous headache, gastroenteritis, ankle joint and surrounding soft tissue diseases, etc.

42. Chongyang (Chōnɡyánɡ) Yuan Point

[Name] Chong means movement; Yang means height.The point is at the highest point of the dorsum of the foot, where the artery meets the hand, hence the name.

[Location] Below Jiexi point, between the extensor longus tendon and the extensor toe longus tendon, between the second and third metatarsal bones and the cuneiform bone, where the dorsalis pedis artery pulses.

[Indications] ① Crooked mouth and eyes, facial swelling, toothache; ② Mania and epilepsy; ③ Stomach pain; ④ Foot flaccidity and weakness.

【Acupuncture and moxibustion method】avoiding the artery, puncture 0.3-0.5 cun straight; moxibustion is not suitable.
