8. Foreign Labor Palace (Stiff Neck) (Wàiláoɡōnɡ)

9. Eight evils (Bāxié)

[Location] On the back of the hand, between the first to fifth fingers, at the red and white flesh behind the edge of the web.

[Indications] Swelling and pain on the back of the hand, numbness of fingers; headache, sore throat, toothache, dysphoria; venomous snake bites.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Obliquely puncture 0.5-0.8 cun; or prick for bleeding.

[Application] Combined with Houxi and Sanjian to treat finger numbness and pain.

10. Four Seams (Sìfénɡ)

[Name] The point is the midpoint of the gap between the first and second joints of the palm, the middle, the ring, and the fourth finger, hence the name.

[Location] On the palm side of the second to fifth fingers, in the center of the proximal knuckles.

[Zhuang Zhi] malnutrition, infantile diarrhea, intestinal worms, pertussis.

【Acupuncture and moxibustion method】Puncture 0.1-0.2 cun, squeeze out a small amount of yellow-white transparent mucus or bleeding.

[Application] It is commonly used in the treatment of children with rickets and pertussis in modern times.

11. Ten Xuan (Shíxuān)

[Name] The point is on the tip of the ten fingers of the hand.Ten, refers to the tip of the ten fingers; Xuan, has the meaning of spreading.Because this point can disperse the evil of wind and heat, it is named Shixuan.

[Location] At the tip of the ten fingers, 0.1 inch from the free edge of the nail.

【Indications】Coma, syncope, heat stroke, convulsions in children; febrile disease; finger numbness.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Puncture 0.1-0.2 cun straight, or prick with a triangular needle to bleed.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat apoplexy, heat stroke, etc.

1. Hip bone (Kuānɡú)

[Location] On the front and lower part of the thigh, 1.5 inches on both sides of Liangqiu, 2 points on one side.

[Indications] Atrophy of lower limbs, paralysis of lower limbs, crane knee wind.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.5-1 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is often used in modern times to treat paralysis of the lower limbs, knee joint and surrounding soft tissue diseases, etc.

2. Crane top (Hèdǐnɡ)

[Name] The point is on the tip of the patella, where it looks like the top of a crane, hence the name.

[Location] On the upper part of the knee, in the depression above the midpoint of the bottom of the patella.

[Indications] Knee joint pain, weakness in legs and feet, crane knee wind, beriberi.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.5-0.8 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is often used in modern times to treat knee joint and surrounding soft tissue diseases, lower limb paralysis, etc.

3. Bǎichónɡwō

[Name] This point is mainly used to treat itchy skin, which looks like hundreds of insects crawling out and harassing the whole body, hence the name.

[Location] On the inner side of the thigh, 3 cun above the inner side of the bottom of the patella, that is, 1 cun above the sea of ​​blood.

【Indications】Skin itching, wheal, lower part sores, ascariasis.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.5-1 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is commonly used in the treatment of rubella and eczema in modern times.

4. Knee eye (Xīyǎn)

[Naming] Knee refers to the knee joint, and eye refers to the dimples on both sides of the knee.

[Location] In the depressions on both sides of the patellar ligament, the inner one is called the inner knee eye, and the outer one is called the outer knee eye.

【Indications】Knee pain, leg pain, beriberi.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture 0.5-1 cun toward the middle of the knee, or penetrate through the eye of the opposite knee; moxibustion can be used.

[Application] It is often used in modern times to treat knee joint and surrounding soft tissue diseases, lower limb paralysis, etc.

5. Gallbladder

[Name] Acupuncture at this point has a certain effect on the gallbladder, hence the name.

[Location] On the upper lateral side of the calf, 2 cun straight below the depression anteriorly and inferiorly to the head of the fibula (Yanglingquan).

[Indications] hypochondriac pain; acute and chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, biliary ascariasis, biliary colic; paralysis of lower limbs.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 1-1.5 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

6. Appendice (Lánwěi)

[Name] It is named because this point has a certain curative effect on appendicitis.

[Location] 5 cun below the Dubi point, one finger across from the front edge of the tibia.

[Indications] Acute and chronic appendicitis, epigastric pain, loss of appetite, paralysis of lower limbs.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Needling 0.5-1 cun in a straight line; moxibustion can be used.

7. Eight Winds (Bāfēnɡ)

[Name] The point is between the toes of both feet, and wind refers to pathogenic factors, so the point is named Bafeng.

[Location] Between the first to fifth toes on the dorsum of the foot, at the junction of the red and white flesh behind the web edge of the toes.

【Indications】Swelling and pain of tarsus, toe cyanosis; headache, toothache; snakebite.

8. Air end (Qìduān)

[Location] The tip of the ten toes, 0.1 cun from the free edge of the nail.
