Mind Control and Distraction: Mind Control Techniques for a Lifetime

Chapter 21 Distraction Techniques for Drawing Circles with the Left Hand and Squares with the Right

Chapter 21 Distraction Techniques for Drawing Circles with the Left Hand and Squares with the Right Hand (3)
The Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders describes the diagnosis of ADHD, but it is not specific to adults.The World Health Organization has proposed a self-assessment scale for adults with attention deficit disorder.Although this is not a formal diagnostic tool, it can also help us get a general understanding of our condition to determine whether we need further diagnosis.If the test results show that you have attention deficit disorder, then you need to see a doctor for further diagnosis.If it turns out that you don't have ADD, but it's not conclusive, then there's a 70.00% confidence in that result.In other words, the scale could detect 70 percent of adults with ADHD.

There are 6 questions in this assessment. Please choose the answer from "never", "rarely", "sometimes", "often", and "always".

1.Is it difficult to move on to the final details once you have completed the challenging part of the plan?

2.Do you find it difficult to stay organized when working on tasks that require organizational planning?
3.Having trouble remembering appointments or things you should do?
4.Do you often run away and have a hard time getting started when doing things that require careful thought?
5.When you need to sit for a long time, do you often move your hands and feet?

6.Do you often feel like you're overactive and have to do something, like you're being driven by an engine?
For questions 1, 2 and 3, answer "sometimes", "often", and "always" each get 1 point, and answer other options get no points.

For questions 4, 5 and 6, answer "often" and "always" each get 1 point, and answer other options get no points.

A total score of 4 or higher indicates that you may have ADD and should be diagnosed by a doctor.self-assessment questionnaire

The following questionnaire has no statistical basis, and I list these questions just to give readers some sense of distraction.The more positive answers, the more likely you are to have ADD, but it doesn't have to be above a few points to count. This is not a diagnostic tool.

If a person has ADD, they will see themselves reflected in the questionnaire.

Don't get hurt by being distracted

I often compare the mind of a distracted person to a Niagara waterfall, because both are full of energy.Distracted people can tap into the energy in their brains and release it like the Niagara Falls, generating water power.If you can centralize the energy in your brain and put it to good use, you can build a hydroelectric power plant in your brain to provide you with constant energy.With this approach, treatment starts quickly and then stagnates.Then, there may be a series of setbacks.At this time, the patient and his family members will feel that the treatment is stuck and they will spin around in place.Patients of any age can experience this feeling, but it is especially severe in older teenagers or adults.Children are different. They have more room for development, and with the help of teachers and parents, they can usually persevere and make rapid progress.

If ADD is not diagnosed until after adolescence or adulthood, treatment that has not made significant progress for a long time is likely to fall by the wayside and fail completely.A patient once said to me: "You really can't help some people, because their behavior patterns are too fixed, buried deep in the subconscious, and cannot be changed. Sometimes I doubt myself That's the man. Don't get your hopes up on me, you can't cure every patient."
I call this stage SPIN, and these letters stand for:
S: shame (shame);

P: pessimism and negative thinking (pessimismandnegtivity);

I: isolation;

N: lack of creative and productive outlets (nocreative, productive outlet).

To get out, you need the help of therapists, life coaches, partners, groups, friends, and family and friends.

Shame
As long as your distractions go untreated, your low self-esteem will only increase with age.There is always a mess in your schoolbag, you are always late, and your abilities are not used and displayed, all of which will make you feel ashamed of yourself.Shame is toxic and it causes lasting trauma.Shame increases your stress unnecessarily, which in turn erodes your memory and mental function.Perhaps when you were a child, a teacher or someone else planted a seed of shame in your heart, and when you grow up, it takes root and sprouts.You feel like everyone is judging you, so you just hide.

You can't face it all on your own. At this time, you need the help and support of a psychologist, friends, and partner.You need to talk to someone and admit that you have shame.You will find that in the eyes of others, maybe you are not as serious as you think.It doesn't matter if you don't speak first or second, everyone likes your jumping up and down.If someone doesn't like you, you can be friends with other people.It doesn't matter if you are late, as long as you are not late on purpose, everyone will forgive you.Don't be friends with them if they can't forgive you.How boring the world would be if everyone was "normal"!
Not only is shame powerful, but it can also keep people from enjoying their accomplishments, especially as adults.Distracted adults often fail to accept positive compliments.If there is an achievement, they feel that it is due to someone else or that it is all outside.

Shame keeps the adult distracted from experiencing joy, he feels ashamed of whatever he does, and they even feel it is immoral to be proud.A healthy, normal sense of pride is out of their league.They have to work hard to recall childhood things such as [-]% in the exam, so that they can regain a sense of pride.
