Entering the temple does not expect respect but self-respect, entering the court does not expect austerity but self-sustainment, this is how a gentleman enters cautiously.When seeing a strict teacher, one is restrained, and when seeing an adulterous friend, one is unrestrained.

Those who know the points, their hearts are always at peace, their desires are always obtained, and what they want is enough to settle down and use.

Brightness and sincerity are the first priority in mind skills, upright appearance is the first priority, and simplicity and honesty are the first priority in speech.

Scholars only think of what is inherent in their nature and what their duties should be; always pay attention and work hard every time, and they will be in the realm of sages.If it’s not the two, it’s all foreign things, and it’s all falsehood.

There is nothing better than being meticulous in advancing virtue, and being meticulous requires patience first.Today's people are only impatient because they are impatient, so they ignore everything until the defense is broken, and they abandon righteousness and do nothing. Can't make progress, only suffer from weakness.If you are faint, you should be quiet to clear your mind, and your mind will gradually become shrewd; if you are weak, you should be vigorous to nourish your qi, and your qi will become stronger when you are strong.

With the knowledge of refinement, with the heart of persistence, and the power of diligence, you can wear gold and stone, and pass through dolphin and fish. Those who show goodness must also cover up evil.A gentleman does not display goodness in order to damage virtue, and does not conceal evil in order to prosper.
