Scholars, who are rich in classics and ancient times, are involved in the current affairs, but they only see that the day is not enough, and they are afraid that they will not be able to make achievements once they are recommended.Officials, who want to improve the government and set up affairs, soothe the world and calm the people, only see that the day is not enough, and fear that once they are promoted, they will not be rewarded for what they have done.This is a true heart, true learning, and a true taste for learning and politics.

Pursue morality and study in youth, Dao Mingde stands in middle age, righteousness and benevolence in old age.If one's virtue cannot be firm before fifty, and one becomes more lazy and feeble after fifty, let alone the power of rejuvenation.

There is nothing in the world to be proud of.Talent is not enough to be proud of, and virtue is my nature. If you don't reach Yao, Shun, Zhou, and Confucius, you are lacking, and if you are lacking, you are ashamed. How can you be proud of others?
There is the science of wishing heaven, the science of reaching heaven, the science of aligning with heaven, and the science of being heaven.

There is no disrespect at the beginning of the holy learning; respect and peace at the foot.

What is known alone is convenient; what others do not see is freedom.A gentleman must act cautiously and meticulously, must be careful not to leave small things behind, fear the interruption of time, fear the cessation of good thoughts, fear the cessation of selfish desires, fear the germination of self-deception, fear that one thing will be delayed. Gou Ye is afraid of living alone and suddenly living in the big court.Therefore, those who are popular are the evidence of loneliness; those who speak and move are the branches and leaves of ideas.If you miss it, if you are alone, but you can see it with ten eyes and ten hands, you will get it on the branches, leaves and evidence.How can a gentleman be so slow and alone?Otherwise, how can it be natural to be reserved when people don't see you, and to be reserved when you see your friends?How can you know it well?It's useless to work hard, but a gentleman who is cautious and alone has seen his lungs and liver.

The ancient scholars worked hard on the heart, so what came out outside was a sign of great virtue; today's scholars work hard on the outside, so if it is reversed to the heart, it is a disease of real virtue.

There is reality in everything, there is beauty in speech, there is truth in things, and there is a way for everyone to deal with it. It is more valuable than a scholar, and that's all.To study without place, to study without time, to study without thought, to know everything and not to go beyond, is called a scholar.Are today's scholars really like this?
Pay attention to the vast and miscellaneous books, devote yourself to the extravagant and incisive speech, worry about the skills of chiseling the truth and messing with the vulgar, and strive to be better than the tedious and trivial rituals, it is sad!And the drunk dreamer is ignorant, insane, infatuated, sick, rich in clothes and willing to eat, and has no intention of doing anything, isn't it especially sad?Therefore, scholars value learning, especially knowledge.

There is nothing in the universe that does not interfere with my body, and that does not invent anything that does not interfere with my body.

All words are not passed down in scriptures, words are not rooted in meaning, and a gentleman does not speak all kinds of words.

The ancient gentleman was sick of his incompetence and learned from it; today's gentleman is ashamed of his incompetence and taboos it.

Those who have no talent but no learning are ashamed of scholars; those who have talent and learning are also worried about scholars.It is difficult for a husband to learn, it is difficult to subdue.Gentlemen value talents and learn to become a person, not to be arrogant; to help the world, not to boast about others.Therefore, learning is like a sword, try it when you can try it, otherwise it will be hidden in the room, and you will not be able to show it off, otherwise, you will seldom be a disaster for yourself.Since ancient times, ten people turn out to be ten, and a hundred people turn into a hundred, and no one is spared, so don't you worry?
Life temperament has its advantages and disadvantages. There is no other way of learning. It is just to cultivate one's own advantages and correct one's disadvantages.

Taoism is not good, just because of their own roots, they can't stand up.If you advocate but do not get along, you will be alone; if you stick to it and oppose it, you will be confused; if you fail to do it, you will be discouraged;To stand up and pull yourself out, you must have the courage of all men, and the heart to do it after death.Otherwise, what would be the point of meeting and talking all day long, with all the lips and tongue?

Serve one's own intelligence, although a sage cannot be wise; use the eyes and ears of the world, although everyone cannot be stupid.
