After hearing this, Damei smiled and said: " Didn’t this old monk intentionally seek trouble? I don’t care what he says about ‘the heart is not the Buddha’, I still insist on my ‘mind is the Buddha’.” The man went back and told Zen Master Mazu what happened, the Zen master He said excitedly: "The plums are really ripe." It means that Zen Master Damei has really become enlightened.

As a human being, you should have your own opinions, and don't follow others and be led by the nose.
