Chapter 1 Introduction: The world of the mentally ill

Chapter 1 Introduction: The world of the mentally ill
There was a mentally ill person who felt that he was a mushroom, so he squatted in the corner of the wall every day without moving.

This situation lasted for a long time, and the doctors and nurses had nothing to do with him.

After a new doctor learned about the situation, he didn't say anything. He just came to the patient, squatted down in the same posture as him, and didn't move.

It was like this for the next few days. The patient came to the corner, and the doctor followed him; the patient squatted down, and the doctor followed suit. The two didn't communicate much, they just repeated the same movements.

One day after the rainy season, the patient suddenly said to the doctor: "Hi, are you a mushroom too?"

The doctor looked at him and nodded.

The patient continued: "The rainy season is over, I think we are all mature. I think you look very good!"

Since then, the patient and the doctor have become friends, and they have endless conversations about mushrooms and forests.

Because of my work, I have studied many famous psychiatric cases at home and abroad, and I have also come into contact with many mental patients. To be precise, they are "people who are considered mentally ill by most people".In the eyes of most people, mentally ill patients are probably like this "mushroom", their brains are "abnormal", and they seldom communicate effectively with others. However, in fact, the so-called mental patients are far more complicated and richer than we imagined, and their world is by no means as simple as "a mushroom".

In fact, mental patients are very good at communicating, which is not as difficult as imagined. In their own worldview, a considerable number of people have extremely clear logic. They also have personalities. Some are taciturn, some like to talk non-stop, some are straightforward, and some like to beat around the bush. They are no different from normal people in everyone's eyes. The only difference is: it will do things that "normal people" can't understand. And the reason why they do these things is that they have a different worldview from "normal people".That's what I want to say in this book! The world of the mentally ill!Their worldview is different, even unbelievable, and incomprehensible. Therefore, it is considered difficult to communicate by normal people. But if you are willing to walk into their world and be a "mushroom" like them, you will find that they communicate well and their world is very colorful.

So, let's get down to business.
