A Father's Duty

Noctis slept through the whole day while Irene continued being the wife and the mother she is. She even cooked their dinner instead of letting the androids do it.

She wanted to wash the clothes but remembered that she can't do it. Her husband has always took care of their laundry and she felt embarrassed not knowing how to do it. She asked the androids if they know about washing the laundry but they too shook their head. Sighing in disappointment, Irene just let it be for now. She would ask her husband to teach her how tomorrow.

The next day, Noctis woke up groggy and saw her wife hugging him. He slowly took her arm off to not wake her up but it was enough to alert someone like Irene.

Irene slowly opened her eyes and saw Noctis slowly removing her arm. Her mischievous side playing around this time, she clamped Noctis' body and hugged him even tighter while pretending to be asleep.

Of course Noctis knows that his wife is playing with him right now so he decided to face her and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Good morning, milady." Noctis said with a smile on his face. Irene opened her eyes slowly and looked at Noctis before smiling sweetly.

"Good morning, my love." Irene said as she ċȧrėssed Noctis' face before pinching it a little.

Noctis laughed a little seeing her wife's playful side. Seeing Noctis laughing a little, Irene has a relieved expression on her face

"Are you fine now? You slept for the whole day. I thought something was going on and-" Irene didn't get to finish what she was saying when Noctis' index finger stopped her from speaking.

"I'm fine now. You don't have to worry about me. I'm just exhausted from teleporting something big and to a far away place at that. But I'm fine now. You can be rest ȧssured." Noctis said and gave her wife another kiss on her forehead.

"Now let me make breakfast and a few arrangements. You should take a rest. You've been taking care of the children for the whole week in Glasgow, let me do my part as their father. You're really beautiful." Noctis said with a smile before pinching her nose with little force.

"But-" Irene was stopped by Noctis once more.

"No buts. Take a rest, my dear wife." Noctis said with a stern look making Irene give up and be an obedient wife.

Seeing Irene being an obedient wife, Noctis tried holding his smile but it was enough for Irene to notice but she obeyed her husband's words and didn't stand up.

When Noctis was about to leave the room, he heard Irene's voice before he closed the door.

"Meanie. That's cheating." Irene said helplessly before closing her eyes to rest.

Noctis chuckled a little after hearing his wife's words. As the days he spent with Irene passed by, Noctis got to know Irene deeper and deeper. He knows Irene's weakness and Irene, of course, knew Noctis' as well.

After Noctis closed the door, he went downstairs to prepare their breakfast. While Noctis is cooking, Noctis is talking with the system.

'System, buy tavern guardians who can cook and clean the house while we're not here. They can replace one of the android in cooking as I'm shifting one of them to take care of the farm. I want them to be able to fight of troublemakers in the tavern just in case.' Noctis said. Although Fenrir is outside to deter troublemakers from causing trouble, if the troublemaker attacked the staff inside and found out about them being androids, rumors will surely spread and troubles will always keep coming his way.

Fenrir also won't be available this time because he will be cleaning up those monsters deep down in the Wasteland of Death. Noctis will also place him into a special job after he took care of the monster dangers in the wasteland.

[Understood.] The system said and two white orbs appeared in front of Noctis and slowly formed into two figures. Noctis was surprised after seeing their initial figure and guessed who they were. After their hair color was shown, he knew that his guess was correct.

One of them has medium length sky blue hair that covers her right eye, large light blue eyes, and young features. While the other has medium length light pink hair that covers her left eye, large darkish pink eyes, and the same young features indicating that they are related to each other.

"Ram, at your service." Ram said.

"R-Rem, at your s-service." Rem said nervously earning her a slight pinch from her sister.

Noctis laughed seeing their interaction. He never thought that the system would give him that would protect the tavern from the inside.

"No need to be nervous. You are now a part of this tavern, I won't mistreat you." Noctis said but the two are still standing there.

"Why don't you start by cleaning the first floor?" Noctis said with a smile.

"Yes!" The two said at the same time.

"Good! I look forward to a good work from you two." Noctis said as he carried the two trays with plates full of pancakes upstairs leaving the twins behind.

"You're horn is back... sister." Rem said a little teary.

"I know and heard you, Rem. Its all thanks to our new master. We must serve him to the best of our abilities, Rem." Ram said with a little smile on her face.

"Yes, sister." Rem replied with a bright face.

"Now now, don't dawdle and let's clean up first, we need to make this place clean." Ram said and the twins started picking up the cleaning tools and started cleaning.

Noctis then went up and dropped one of the tray in front of Dimaria's room and knocked on it. He then went to the third floor and opened their room and left one plate of pancake for Irene for her breakfast and covered it with a thin silver cover. He then went to the other room and placed the tray down in a small table placed in the room and covered it with a thin silver cover before teleporting to the dimensional farm.
