A magical journey that begins in Azkaban

Chapter 39 Transfiguration and Animagus

"Dean's first lesson, I admire you, warrior!" Daphne laughed, but she was also worried about Snape's punishment.

"It doesn't matter. When the time comes, I will show my hand to the dean and let him understand that it is not my fault that I slept in class." Rogge raised his eyebrows and said confidently.

"It's not your fault? Who is that?" Daphne was extremely curious. She rested her head on her hands and looked at him curiously, wondering what magical excuse there would be.

"Of course it's the dean's own fault. Who made his class so boring?"

Daphne's eyes widened and she gave Rogge a big thumbs up: "You must stay away and don't involve me."

When Roger and Daphne finished breakfast, the auditorium was as busy as a vegetable market. He looked around with his textbook under his arm, but didn't find a clock. It seemed like he needed to get a mechanical watch.

"Well, this is too Merlin." Rogge sighed, and he seemed to have found the source of the rich history of the British magical world.

The booklet Professor McGonagall gave to herself was very practical and introduced various techniques and precautions about transfiguration. He combined it with the "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" written by Switch to gain a better understanding of the art of transfiguration.

Transfiguration is based on two points, one is the variability of matter, and the other is the will of the caster.

In Professor McGonagall's notes, it is proposed that the basis of transfiguration is that the essence of matter is the same, so that there is material variability.

In addition to being proficient in the spells and wand trajectories of transfiguration, a wizard also needs to have a strong will.

Rogge nodded. This is very similar to most of the wizarding world. The wizard himself must have the unquestionable self-will of "I am the universe."

With this kind of will, the caster can exert magic according to his own wishes. In other words, will is the core of magic, and spells and wands are the tools for the realization of will.

When the wizard's will is strong enough, he can completely break away from the tools and directly realize the wizard's wishes.

"Fluorescence flashes." Rogge couldn't help but launch the wandless spell, waving his hand to illuminate the whole world. This was the absolute embodiment of his own will.

"Wow, it's so bright!" Daphne, who was previewing the textbook next to her, widened her eyes. "Why are your fluorescent lights flashing so brightly? And you don't use a wand!"

Rogge quickly interrupted the spell. Fortunately, this was a courtyard, otherwise he wouldn't have known what kind of trouble it would cause. But he was also troubled because his spell became stronger the more he used it. At present, he has not found a way to control the power. In the future, he may be too strong to use magic spells at any time.

"Family skills are not passed down to others." Rogge said mysteriously.

"Tch." Daphne rolled her eyes at Rogge, obviously not believing it.

He smiled without explaining and continued reading. After mastering the basics of transfiguration, all that remains is the understanding of matter and form. This is a key step in completing the Transfiguration, which requires the wizard to have a sufficient understanding of the relevant substances.

"From this point of view, every wizard who is proficient in transfiguration is a master of deconstruction. They can see through the essence of matter at a glance, which requires a lot of knowledge and practice." Professor McGonagall wrote in the last part of the handbook, and later List several types of transfiguration.

Basic transfiguration, the ability to transform one substance into another. At this point, approximation of shape trumps everything. Animal Shapeshifting, a more advanced form of transformation that allows a wizard to transform into an animal through spells.

"Hey, why is there no explanation of the Animagus?" Rogge looked at the code in confusion and found that there was a large blank section under the animal transformation technique. It seemed that Professor McGonagall had specially deleted this part of the content.

However, Rogge still found some clues from the animal transformation spell: the animal transformation spell requires specific spells and a lot of training, and is a short-term and external change. Using these characteristics to infer the deleted content, the Animagus is naturally a permanent and essential deformation.

"If I could raise the level of the animal transformation spell to a very high level, wouldn't it be a disguised Animagus?" Rogge thought wildly, if the animal transformation spell can last for 50 years, even if the essence is different But from the outside, they are no different from Animagus.

At the end of the codex, Professor McGonagall also mentioned human transfiguration and immaterial transfiguration. However, it is complex and dangerous, and it is an advanced magic. She did not introduce it in the handbook.

Roger and Daphne walked into the Transfiguration classroom, and Daphne immediately saw the cute tabby cat on the podium.

"Wow, what a cute cat! Why is there a cat in the Transfiguration classroom?" Daphne walked over with little stars in her eyes.

"Wait a minute." With an unnatural smile on his face, Roger took out the rations from his pocket and handed them to Daphne.

Owl rations are simply cat food. Seeing Daphne spill the cat food in front of the cat, he pinched his thigh hard to avoid laughing.

The cat on the podium avoided Daphne's hand and stared at the little wizard with stern eyes.

"Not cute at all." Daphne muttered and sat next to Roger, and found the guy lying on the table shaking.

She felt something was wrong and quickly looked up at the podium. The cat on it swept the cat food away in disgust. Only then did Daphne notice that there were semi-rectangular markings under the cat's eyes, which were very similar to Professor McGonagall's iconic glasses.

"No way..." Daphne's face turned red and she covered her mouth to avoid screaming.

She stomped Roger hard and quickly pretended to be a good girl, picking up the textbook and covering her face. Now, she wanted to take out her wand and stab the damn guy next to her.

The class bell has not yet ended, and students from both colleges have almost arrived. Oh, except Harry and Ron. Like Professor McGonagall, they were not in the classroom.

During the first class of school, the little wizards started talking about it. Especially the group of little lions, who discussed bravely and fearlessly. In comparison, the little snakes were much quieter, not because they were not lively, but because Rogge reminded them that this was the vice principal's classroom.

Everyone sat there quietly without worrying about being deducted points by Professor McGonagall. They had already heard about Snape's unlimited favoritism towards them, and were worried that Professor McGonagall was also like that.

Against the background of Slytherin, the little lions finally realized something. In an instant, the entire classroom became silent. Everyone was waiting for Professor McGonagall who was late, and Harry and Ron who were still missing.

The two of them quietly pushed open the classroom door, but the sound of closing the door still alarmed everyone.

"Mr. Savior is miserable!" Daphne secretly looked at the cat and said with a gloating smile.

Hermione, who was sitting in front of them, shook her head helplessly. Points would be deducted because of them in the first class of the academy.

Malfoy looked back at them and smiled contemptuously. Harry rejected his friendship and befriended Ron instead. Being mixed up with the red-haired Weasley, such an outcome was already doomed.

"We finally caught up!" Ron looked at the classroom, only the middle of the first row was empty.

He and Harry walked over, thankful that the professor hadn't arrived yet: "What would the professor look like if he found out we were late?"

As soon as Ron finished speaking, the cat on the podium jumped down and transformed into Professor McGonagall in the air. This time, he saw the frosty expression on his dean's face.

Although they had expected it, Roger and Daphne couldn't help but exclaim.

"Is this advanced transfiguration?" Daphne exclaimed at the side, becoming very interested in Professor McGonagall's transfiguration course.

"Transformation can't be maintained for such a long time." Rogge explained in a low voice, "This is Animagus."
