A Prince's Love

Chapter 178 - Uh, I Didn't Mean That

Prince Thalal squinted at Cynthia who was walking towards him wearing a wide t-shirt and wide brightly colored culottes. Actually, the most fitting is wearing a bikini when they are on Kuta beach. But dressing immodestly around two Princes who were very civilized, was not the right decision. Although the situation and condition of wearing a bikini on the beach for some people is a very natural thing.

The debate between people about whether it is polite or not for an eastern or Asian person in a bikini on the beach is the same as a photo of a sexy woman in skimpy clothes posing for purely artistic purposes. Whether they act outside the norm or not depends on the point of view of those people.

And Cynthia herself is a person who grew up in a liberal country where one's rights have a wider range than someone who was born in an East or Asian country. Cynthia is used to dressing according to the condition, not according to whether she is covered or not.

If it's summer or spring she will wear more revealing clothes, if it is autumn or winter she will wear more closed clothes and on the beach, she will definitely wear a bikini. If you need two peace, all of you. He just couldn't imagine that if he suddenly appeared in front of Prince Thalal wearing a bikini then there was not a warm conversation he would get but Prince Thalal would definitely avoid it.

Prince Thalal smiled when he saw Cynthia's blonde hair fluttering in the sea breeze. "You look very beautiful," said Prince Thalal while inviting Cynthia to sit in front of him. A large umbrella seemed to shade where they sat. Two young coconuts filled with young coconut water and the mixture seemed to attract Cynthia's attention.

Cynthia thanked Prince Thalal for his attention. Cynthia is not a beautiful woman but still gorgeous in the eyes of Prince Thalal. Cynthia's tall body was different from the graceful bodies of the Azura women with large chests and hips. Cynthia's skin was also very white like typical Caucasians, with very blonde hair and blue eyes. His face was a little hard and firm. Her lips also look full without the red lipstick. Cynthia would actually be really pretty if she made up just a little

"Are you enjoying young coconut water?" Cynthia asked as she sat down.

'Yes... Princess Alena's sister ordered for us, I've never drunk young coconut water before. It's very sweet and fresh. I like it and there are many fruits that I have never met before" said Prince Thalal while looking at the tropical fruits in front of him. Alena deliberately ordered a lot of tropical fruits that were not in Azura.

Cynthia laughed, Prince just doesn't know let alone She who has limited finances. Fortunately Alena often introduces her to tropical fruits so She is not too strange.

"Oh..yeah. But where is She now? I do not see it" Cynthia asked while looking left and right for her best friend. She woke up a little late because She was very tired after playing chess last night with Nizam's guards. Ali was very curious to keep losing while playing chess with Cynthia so he kept asking Cynthia to play chess. So Cynthia got up in the afternoon and then she was escorted by a bodyguard to go to the beach to meet Prince Thalal.

In Bali, many foreign tourists pass by in their beach clothes that expose their bodies a lot. But Prince Thalal didn't seem too bothered. His eyes were still staring at Cynthia with full of admiration. Prince Thalal really really liked the woman in front of him.

"They were browsing the art market around Kuta beach... You know what? my sister is a fan of expressionist paintings. Meanwhile, I prefer naturalist ones. Well.. different heads are different... What kind of paintings do you like?"

"Me?? I prefer to see a painting of Benjamin Franklin on a 100 USD note" Cynthia said without thinking making Prince Thalal laugh out loud hearing it.

"Is money your top priority Cynthia?"  Prince Thalal did not expect that Cynthia could talk so openly about money. In his Kingdom, the women usually rarely talk about money because all their needs are readily available. From food, clothes, bags, shoes, and everything. They just ask then everything will be provided by the person in charge of the family. So they rarely hold money. So what Cynthia said sounded funny to prince Thalal's ears

"Why not? You were born into a family that never knew what it was like to have no money. Where all desires were on the index finger. Meanwhile, I was born into a family that was deprived. Where I had to work hard for ten hours just to get a piece of money, 100 USD. While you rich people can spend 100 USD 100 bills in just seconds."

Prince Thalal dimmed his eyes. He watched Cynthia who was venting her feelings until she unconsciously spoke so harshly to her. It was as if Cynthia was born poor because of her mistakes. In terms of psychology, Cynthia's attitude is called transference.

Transference is a reproduction of a person's emotions that have been suppressed for years that may have occurred since he was a child which is then revealed to others as his substitute or alternate.

So when Cynthia seemed to be nagging herself. Prince Thalal remained calm even though he tried to keep a smile on understanding Cynthia's feelings. After Cynthia babbled at length, she realized that Prince Thalal was innocent.

Then why should She be angry with him? Haven't we asked to be born by whom, where, and in what position? All are Divine Secrets that must be accepted as destiny.

"Sorry, Prince. I'm emotional" Cynthia's face turned bright red. At least Cynthia did not see the disapproving look on Prince Thalal's face even though She had scolded him, instead, Prince Thalal gave her a glass of water. While blushing, Chyntia drank the water that was offered to her.

"Not everything can be bought with money, Cynthia. Especially one's happiness. If money could buy happiness, then no rich person would be depressed.

In fact, we sometimes feel very sad and lonely among so many treasures. There are many rich people whose lives are not happy or the term Wealth but sad syndrome. Because most of us don't get what is called empathy, love, and honesty.

We get a lot of hypocrisy from the people around us. Just look at my brother, Nizam. how He had to fight hard to get Princess Alena's love. He was even close to sacrificing his own life."

"Your brother is indeed an extraordinary person. He is the type of person who struggles for his love. Then what about you? I heard you are getting married next month?" Cynthia asked.

Prince Thalal laughed ironically, "Ah...ha..ha..ha... You know about it. In Azura it's true, Walls have ears."  Prince Thalal laughed in an embarrassed tone, He didn't think that Cynthia would know about his marriage. Like other members of the royal family, they are not allowed to choose their own wife or husband. Everything must be arranged through matchmaking. All marriages are performed for the benefit of the family. There is no love between their marriage. Everything is like water flowing from a high place to a low place.

"Don't you have someone you love like your brother? Or are you going to marry the woman your parents arranged for you?" Cynthia asked curiously.

Prince Thalal was silent. He instead looked at Cynthia gently. "Do you know? You are the first woman who managed to attract my heart. I don't know if this is a feeling of liking, admiration, or love. I still have to convince my feelings first"

Cynthia's face was completely red. "So if you're sure what do you want?"

Prince Thalal was silent again. He racked his brain hard to find answers to Cynthia's very meaningful questions that if he loved Cynthia, would he struggle as his brother fought for Alena's love.

Finally, Prince Thalal replied, "If this feeling is love then maybe I will fight too to get you"

"I'm glad you said that what you said was a statement of a possibility and not a truth," Cynthia said with a sneer.

It made Prince Thalal feel awkward. "Uh, I didn't mean that"

"Ah.. never mind Prince Thalal, don't think too much. After all, it's impossible for us to love each other. Isn't the gap between us wider than between Alena and Nizam. Besides, you should know. I'm not Alena who is still a virgin from head to toe when She met Nizam.

Whereas I've lost my virgin since I was in high school. So I don't want to risk my own life if I have to have a holy night celebration with you" Cynthia said with a cold face and voice. She didn't care about Prince Thalal's face which was pale white because Cynthia was so forthright.
