Interrupting her words, he shook his head as he replied

"There's no need for such things, you know. I think I understood now that you are so close to me. Your mother never had a partner in her whole life, and you lived her life to obtain the necessary wisdom to guide me...but this has downsides, right...?"

His own words made him slowly understand that, even though she was a goddess, she was also a woman.

Seeing that she wasn't moving away, Ethan didn't add anything as, he knew that he had to do something. Bringing a hand on her head, he patted her lightly as he added

"...Sorry, I was forcing you to be close to me, even though you have your own problems regarding it that I couldn't see at first. I will be careful from now on..."

His words made her raise her head to look at him as she could feel his warm hand on her head. Even though she had all kind of thoughts before, she felt that there was just one thing she had to say.

"I don't want to be the kind of person who lets herself go with the d.e.s.i.r.es of the flesh. My mother, during all the time she lived, could have created a soul and fulfilled her d.e.s.i.r.es with just a thought...but she--"

Her words led him to think about it as he understood what was troubling her. Without replying to her words, he continued to pat her on the head before slowly bringing his hand down her silky, grey hair.

'They are so delicate. How perfect... honestly, I would like to keep touching them...'

At this thought, Light stopped to talk as her face was becoming even more red, but, without hesitation this time, Ethan added while staring at her

"You know... there are a lot of things I would like to say right now, but I will just say the most important one. What you consider 'd.e.s.i.r.es of the flesh' is something way more complicated than this. We are just closer to each other, and I'm patting your head, because your straight and long hair are one of my favourite things. Obviously, I don't discriminate any other type of hair, but your own... I love them..."

Saying this, he started playing with her hair while she had a shocked expression on her face.

"Wait...won't we... reach 'that' if we remain like this for too much time?"

Her words brought a smile on his face as he quickly understood that, while she watched the memories of her mother, she might have mistaken how 's.e.x' worked. Shaking his head, he felt as if a heavy rock was lifted from him as he replied

"...You should have watched humans, right? We aren't monkeys."

Chuckling while he said so, he saw as she didn't understand what he meant by his words. Bringing his arm back on her back, he added

"'That' is something we won't do. I just want to embrace you, and you want the same... That isn't dirty, it's how beings feel each other's closeness, warmth, how they want to express their love for someone else, this, isn't 'letting yourself go with the d.e.s.i.r.es of the flesh', it's expressing your feelings."

His words brought her shocked expression to be even more evident.

'So..this isn't dirty. I'm not letting my d.e.s.i.r.es to have control on me...this, is right'

Slowly bringing her hands on his neck, she looked down as she was embarrassed to do something a moment ago, she thought was 'dirty'.

The way she was acting, brought him to stop playing with her hair before bringing his other hand on her back.

Now in this position, Ethan knew that he would have 'asked' her if it was okay for him to do this, but the way she was returning his embrace, made him stop thinking about the fact she never said she 'wanted' to stay closer to him.

Bringing his chin on the top of her head, Ethan was tempted to kiss her head, but he was the one who now didn't want to go any further. This because, obviously, he hadn't forgotten Ais' condition for him to be with multiple girls.

'Even though I am in my own Domain, and she would never be able to know what I'm doing here, I don't want to do something without her permission. So, you can rest assured, Light. I will be the one to never let both of us be carried away by d.e.s.i.r.e.'

"Then...it's fine to remain like this for a while..."

The fact she approved this, brought him to chuckle again while adding

"Yeah...if it wasn't for your approbation. I would never have been able to understand that we could remain like this..."

Seeing him continuing to chuckle, brought her to pout slightly as she brought a hand on his face to pinch his cheek.

"I just understood that you really like to tease me, right?"

At her words, he felt that she wasn't using any kind of force to pull his cheek. Stopping to chuckle, he smiled as he added

"Wait, okay, okay, I will stop, let go of my cheek now..."

Even though she was doubtful, she decided to release his cheek as he could feel it was hot, as if he was slapped by someone. Staring at her, he couldn't help but sigh.

"Your strength is a cheat, Light. You aren't even trying to hurt me and I'm feeling like you slapped me so hard that my cheek is red"

"Sorry...I can't control the force of my grip that well. Even though It's perfectly fine to be closer with you, I can't say the same for strength. Because if I try to not use any strength at all, I won't be able to pull something at all...Did it hurt?"

Hearing that she was apologizing, brought him to hit her head lightly with his own. This brought her to close her eyes while slowly retracting her head. Even though it didn't hurt, she didn't expect this kind of thing as he replied

"Stop taking something I said jokingly in a serious way, and don't apologize, it didn't hurt at all"

Staring at him, she didn't know if she was the one who was at fault or not, but, without minding, she replied with a nod while bringing her hand back to his neck. Sighing, she looked at the villa she was working on as she, without thinking, said the first thing she had in mind.

"I want a library..."

Her words brought his eyes to widen as he thought about the actual structure of the villa.

"Instead of three bedrooms, that we don't need at all, let's build a library! No..maybe a whole building that will be our library! Now that you said it, you made me think about how many books I'll have to add. I want to start studying magic seriously, I want to obtain the title [Magic Genius] as my quest asked..."

Hearing him starting to say so many things, and Ideas, brought a surprised expression on her face as she understood that she said what she was thinking about, but, after a second, her expression returned to normal as she brought her hands on his back while placing her head on his c.h.e.s.t.

"Let's build the library as well, then..."

"...Now, you want to go to draw, right? I have to work as well, so let's return to our tasks...!"

At her first sentence, Ethan wanted to add that it was fine to draw it later, but the determination she showed him towards the end of her words, brought him to nod with a smile on his face.

"Then...I'll go"

With these words, he brought his hand on her hair before playing with them for a while. The fact he was so attached to her hair, brought her face to become slightly red. Looking down while she had her hands near her c.h.e.s.t, she nervously moved them as he waited for him to go draw his ideas.

After this, Ethan finally released her while heading towards his table. Sitting on the chair, he started to draw the first sketch he had in mind for the 'style' of the library while Light sighed.

Deciding to return on to her work as well, she didn't even think about it as she brought her hand on her hair to play with them. After a second, Light understood what she was doing as she immediately stopped to do so with her face that, now, was even redder than before.

'What was I doing...? Do I miss his contact already...?'

Even though these questions would make her think about ways to stop thinking about him, she looked down as she couldn't help but bring her hand on her face to remove her hair from her eyesight to bring them back to where they were.

'He.. Really likes my hair...'

'Right. Now, I can't think about this. I have a villa, a sanctuary, and a library to build'

While she was busy thinking about this, Ethan had already drew his first sketch as he knew that, from the quantity of books he, and Light, wanted to add, he would need at least twice the size of the sheet he was using.

Turning his head up to search for Light, he easily found her as he was about to ask her for a new sheet as always, but, he saw that she was really working hard on the villa.

While seeing so, the fact he could use the System Interface freely returned in his mind as, immediately, it appeared in front of him.

Ignoring the various locked functions, he tapped on the [Shop] as he could see that a search bar appeared in front of him, as well as various categories.

Without minding the various {Danmachi} and other world's categories, he saw the {Earth} category as he immediately tapped on it. Without hesitation, the category separated into sub-categories while he saw that there was any kind of thing.

Seeing even things like {Weapons} and {Artillery}, he thought about it as he knew that, with beings able to even stop things like Time, or Space, these kinds of things were useless.

'I guess I would have no use for a tank, even if it would be fun to try to use it...'

Even though this made him imagine himself using a tank, he shook his head as he understood that, from sub-categories, it would take hours for him to find what he wanted to...

'Then...why not trying to use the search bar...'

This thought brought the search bar to compare right in front of him as he quickly thought about a sheet.
