Falling Out

The long summer vacation is finally over.

And the temperature seems to be changing from summer to fall. I also don't hear the cicadas singing much anymore.

Thinking back, I went to many places and made many memories during the summer vacation.

I started going out with Tachibana at the summer festival, then I went to her house and finally we went on a day trip on the beach.

All of them are my precious memories with Tachibana.

I also met up with Ren a few times but we didn't have the chance for the three of us to met.

Although I have experienced a lot of fun things but I felt lonely thinking that they are now in exist in my memory.

Well I guess we will also experience a lot of things this upcoming fall as the sports and school festival will happen this season.

Maybe this time I will use autumn as a theme on the artworks that I will going to make.

After the opening ceremony, the classes for the second semester have started, and everything is back to the way it was before the summer vacation.

As usual my seat is at the back of the class next to Tachibana.

Everyone is still in their summer uniforms, I guess sooner or later the students will change it and they will start to wear their long sleeves.

When I look at Tachibana I saw that she was secretly playing a game on her smartphone under her desk.

She seems to be addicted to that game these days as she was recommending it to me a lot.

I felt that Tachibana had become a little more mature during the summer vacation.

Before the summer vacation, there was still a childish cuteness in her beauty, but now I feel that her beauty became so much mature.

When she said that she showed me the screen of her smartphone.

Tachibana is always calling me by my name now, but I'm still embarrassed to call her by her name so sometimes I used her last name and there are times that I call her Kyoko.

During recess I went to the cafeteria to buy my lunch.

I passed a lot of boys that have tanned skin especially the baseball team that became pitch black.

They must have practiced a lot on the field where the sun shines brightly.

I, on the other hand, looks the same as I did before the summer vacation because when I went on a day trip with Tachibana, she puts a sunscreen on me that's why I didn't get any sunburn.

When I arrived at the cafeteria I noticed that Umezawa and her friends are there.

I completely forgotten about them during the summer break.

When I look at Umezawa it seems that she dyed her hair again as it's color is brighter than before the summer break.

It now looks too golden white.

Since it would be bad for me to meet these guys I had decided not to proceed any further inside.

When I turn my back and walk out the cafeteria I heard a voice saying.

"Ah! It's Kato!"

I was too late.

"Hey, we haven't seen in a long time but you haven't change at all you're still plain looking."

So noisy.

What's wrong with being plain?

"Be prepared as I will play a lot with you again this second semester~"

Umezawa said that when she passed by me.

It looks like they will continue to bully me.

After school, I was called again to go to the gym for the first time in a while.

It's been about a month since I've been here and I don't want to be here as I have many bad memories about this place.

I wonder when will they stop calling me to go the gym?

I'm getting tired of this, please can someone change with my place.

...Oops I shouldn't think like that.

Right now Tachibana is talking to Umezawa and the others about what happened with them during the summer vacation.

And it looks like Tachibana often hangout with Umezawa and the others during those times.

"Look, look I dyed my hair again so that it will become much brighter."

"I went to the pool and got burnt."

"Going to the sea is really fun."

Umezawa and her friends were talking at school for the first time in a while and it looks like they have changed since before the summer vacation as it looks like they are all seem more mature now.

"Isn't he still the same as before?"

Umezawa points at me then she laughs.

She said the same thing to me again when we were at the cafeteria.

"He's still the same dark-haired, plain looking guy. Hey if you don't change you'll never get a girlfriend."

That's where you are wrong because your good friend Tachibana is my girlfriend.

"Why don't you dye your hair? Well even if you did that I don't think it will suit you, hahaha."

This woman really pisses me off.

I don't care if you matured during those times but I've been through a lot you know.

"You will be an errand boy for the rest of your life! If you get that then go and buy us some drinks."

Umezawa and the others are making fun of me while they are laughing.

I wonder what will happen if I snap right here.

When I thought about that, Tachibana then said.

"Why don't you go buy it yourself?"

...Wait did she just say that to Umezawa?

Tachibana's word made the whole gymnasium quiet.

I was also surprised at that because I didn't expect Tachibana to say such a thing.

"Huuuuuuh!"

Umezawa then looks at her as the tension rise Tachibana then said.

"I told you to go buy it yourself. Is it really fun using someone as your errand boy?"

The air then freezes.

"What are you talking about Kyoko, we have been doing this since then."

"I've decided not to do it anymore as I've realize that it's very lame to do it."

"What are you saying now? You also did it right! You know Kyoko this past few weeks you're being weird as if something has changed in you."

This is really bad it looks like it will turn into a fight.

I have to stop them.

The gymnasium, which had been so noisy just a few minutes ago, has gone quiet.

"...I've decided not to do that anymore."

Tachibana then looks down.

"...I'm going home."

When she said that she pulled me by my hand and we walked out of the gym.

Umezawa was about to say something, but Tachibana grasp my hand harder then she opened the door of the gym.

Everyone except Tachibana was shocked by that scene.

The two of us are now silently walking through the long straight road to the station.

I don't know what am I going to say to her.

"I'm sorry because it's my fault."

"Don't be it's fine. I just don't want anyone to say bad things about you."

The atmosphere was heavy between us.

It seems that Tachibana is still feeling guilty about her bullying me.

I know that Tachibana cherishes her friendship with Umezawa and the others.

But I guess she couldn't keep quiet after they had made fun of me."

"...What should I do now?"

I saw tears flowing down on Tachibana's cheeks.

"...I think Rina and the others hates me now."

Both Umezawa and I are very important to her that's why she's so conflicted right now that she didn't know what to do.

I gently hold Tachibana's hand as it's the only thing that I could do for her right now.

Tachibana's hand felt really weak.

After that we didn't say anything to each other anymore but I can feel her emotions just by holding her hand.

Because her friendship with Umezawa became bad I felt afraid that something would break our relationship.




Note: 1. I haven't got any motivation to translate this series ever since I read Chapter 78 (It's not NTR). This series currently has 87 chapters and it looks like the author trolled the readers as it looks like there will be no harem in this. BTW my main reason why I picked this series up is because when I read 5 gals in the synopsis then there's the harem tag I though that the combination is really great but Oh well guess I was wrong. Don't worry I will continue to do this series since I already did 33 chapters in this including this one might as well do it till this series is done.

2. Yes you've read that right this is Chapter 22 it seems that I skip a Chapter which is Chapter 20 which titled Day Trip ~Shopping~. So the next chapter will be chapter 20.
