As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 189 - Don't You Think That You Actually Missed The Supposed Target?

Kazuya finished the puzzle before he went back to the villa. Himari was elated the moment he put the last piece into its place.

"I've to find a frame later," She laughed happily, "This puzzle looks good."

Kazuya just gave her a helpless yet doting smile.

Once the puzzle was completed, it revealed a beautiful and heartwarming scene.

A couple was sitting on a garden bench. Both of them were just holding hands together, silently communicating through their eyes. The serenity of the garden with lush greeneries and vibrant flowers added colors to the picture.

"Time to go home now," Kazuya glanced at the clock.

Without him realizing it, he had spent almost four hours here.

Finishing the puzzle didn't actually take a long time but, because both of them kept chatting about random things and even bickering, they didn't start doing the puzzle until later.

"The sun's going to set soon," Himari made a remark.

Kazuya won't go home straight. He still had to drop by at any restaurant to buy dinner for the siblings. When Himari wanted to send him downstairs, he gently shook his head, refusing her intention.

She just sent him to the door.

"I'll head to the city on Monday morning. I'll try to head back by Wednesday night," said Kazuya while he was wearing the shoes.

Himari had already known about Kazuya's incoming business trip. He had to be at City R for three days, discussing the already ongoing project with his partner there.

Kazuya said he'd need to check the details regarding the discussion again tomorrow Sunday as well as packing his things. That was why he insisted to come here today after returning from the studio.

"Life is hard, ah," Himari tilted her head, staring at him with concern, "You'd still be tired when you join the sports festival the next day."

The sports festival of Amamiya School of Early Learning would be opened next Thursday and ended on Friday. The two-day festival was highly anticipated by the energetic students at school. Parents would come and participate in certain events while cheering on their children on others.

If this man returned to the city because he didn't want to miss the sports festival, didn't it mean he couldn't rest well after the exhausting business trip?

His eyes were soft as he replied, "Even though this is not the first time, it feels good to have someone worrying about me."

Himari smiled bashfully. She lowered her head, her eyes were looking at him with her eyelids raised.

Kazuya stifled a peal of laughter.

Since three years ago, he had never complained of what he had to endure. All of the hardships were concealed tightly inside by him, never to be told to anyone.

Even so, he still enjoyed the concern shown by his lady, no matter how small or obvious it was.

"I'll contact you whenever I can," said Kazuya, pointing out to the time when he was away, "Take care. Tell me if you encountered anything unpleasant. Don't forget to rest well too, since you'd be busy with the preparations."

Although Himari was responsible for the food section, it was still a hard task to complete.

Himari grinned, "Hey~ We're talking about you. How did it turn about me instead?"

Kazuya laughed, helplessness flickered in his eyes.

"Okay, I'm going now."

Even though he didn't want to leave soon.

"Drive carefully," Himari repeated what she had always reminded him. She stepped down from the elevated platform that separated the entryway and the living space of the apartment, walking closer to him, "About Chiharu and Izumi, do tell me if you need help."

Aunt Mayu and Shuichi would take care of the siblings but, Himari still wanted to do everything she could to help her man. Like how Kazuya had always been supporting her, she wished to do the same to him.

After the brief conversation about his mother earlier, Kazuya no longer mentioned what happened between him and the woman. Himari was intrigued with what did he mean by having a fight with his mother but, seeing that Kazuya dropped the subject, she just held back her curiosity.

"Chiharu would be happy to hear that," Kazuya answered with a soft smile.

He took a step forward. His tall shadows fell on the lady in front of him. Unable to hold himself back, once again he enveloped her in an embrace.

Himari was no longer as baffled as earlier. She just let this man hugged her.

If this could help her man to ease his uneasy feelings, he could hold her as long as he wanted.

"What do you wanna me get for you?" There was a smile in his voice as Kazuya felt his lady wrapped her hands around his waist.

"En... I don't know about City R's specialties," Himari let her eyes wandered to the man's ear. She grinned as she suppressed the desire to play with his earlobe, "Hehe, just get me something memorable ah."

"Okay. I'll get you something. Something that makes me think of you," Kazuya let out a low chuckle.

Himari smiled. Honey dripped from her sweet smile while her eyes sparkled with stars.

Aye, her boyfriend had grown more adept in saying things that were nice to hear.

"Okay~ I'll be waiting. As long as you don't dare to try to find a new girlfriend there."

Kazuya patted her head. Although he was reluctant, he took a step back, gently releasing her from his embrace.

"I won't," He laughed. A soft glow engulfed his face as he continued smiling at his lady, "Why should I? I already have the best one here."

Himari's smile turned even sweeter.

Hehe, sometimes, it really felt good to hear something cheesy like this.

At that moment, something struck her mind.

Before she could weigh the consequences, Himari stood on the tiptoes, raised up both of her hands and cupped the man's face.

Under Kazuya's perplexed look, she pressed her lips softly on the corner of his lips.

"Really, don't forget about your girlfriend here," Himari said with a blushed look once she took a step back. Her entire face reddened, resembling a cherry tomato.

"...what did..."

Kazuya blinked his eyes, he was staring blankly at Himari.

He was afraid he was just imagining things but, the residual warmth on the corner of his lips convinced him that his little lady here really did something unexpected.

"Cough... Time to go home now!"

Himari turned the dazed Kazuya around and began to push him out of the apartment.

Startled, Kazuya glanced at the woman who kept pushing him from behind, "Wait... wait, Himari!"

"Bye-bye!"

Bam!

Himari closed the door shut. Her hands that were holding the doorknob were trembling slightly. She felt a bit jittery by what she had done a few seconds before.

She kissed him!

She really kissed him on her own accord!

Err... Even though it was just a kiss on the corner of his lips, it was still initiated by her.

Ugh... How embarrassing when she thought of it again.

"Himari! I'm going home now!"

Kazuya spoke from behind the door. His voice carried a hint of laughter.

It was obvious that this man's brain had carefully registered the event that happened earlier.

Himari could picture him smirking.

Imagining it made her felt unpleasant, huhu Q^Q

"...okay! Bye!"

Himari shrank her neck, suddenly regretting her action. Her boldness only lasted for a few seconds!

"Hehe, bye. See you next week," Kazuya's voice sounded again, followed by a knock on the door, "I'll call you later."

"En... Okay."

Himari didn't move away from the door until she could no longer hear Kazuya's footsteps walking in the corridor. She rushed to the window, only in time to see him approaching the dark gray car. His shadow was stretched out by the setting sun as the golden lights were sprinkled on his back.

Kazuya got inside the car, wound down the window then threw his gaze to the apartment.

Their eyes met.

Himari was still blushing. When the sneaky man lifted up a finger and tapped on the place that she kissed earlier, her blush intensified.

Why did she become so bold?

Ugh...

Himari could only sigh in relief once the car left. She weakly walked to the living room and slumped down the strawberry couch. The puzzle was still lying on the low table.

LINE~

Alerted by the notification, Himari reached out for her phone. She pursed her lips the moment she saw that the sender was the man who had just left.

[Kazuya: It felt good]

[Kazuya: But, don't you think you actually missed the supposed target?]

[Kazuya: I think you should do it again once I return next week]

Himari threw the phone away, the sleek metal fell on the next couch. She pretended as if she didn't read the man's messages.

He was poking fun at her!

Himari stood on the couch with both hands wrapping around her legs. She rested her chin on her knees, her eyes were deep in thought, leaving no traces of her bashfulness from before.

When Kazuya kept holding her close, it was undeniable that she didn't feel repulsive over the actions. She even liked to hear the sound of his heart beating.

It echoed faintly from his chest, sounding so much alive.

Holding hands together, sitting next to each other, the forehead kisses and the constant hugs, she would miss those dearly in the days he was away.

Himari tilted up her head, looking at the golden ball of light that was hanging over the horizon.

The end of the day appeared so peaceful to her.

Her mood was no longer cloudy.
