As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 76 - Aren't You So Obvious That You Wanted To Escape Home?

The SUV swiftly left the parking lot, speedily heading to the expressway. The roads were packed with vehicles coming and going from the city center. With the Golden Week holiday had just started, everyone was in a jovial and carefree mood.

Soon, the car rushed down the road, leaving the city behind.

Yuina was relaxed as she feasted her eyes with the lush greenery surrounding the expressway. She wounded down the window, letting the spring breeze flowed inside the car. Her long hair slightly tousled in the air due to the breeze.

"Sister, close the window. Aren't you cold?" Hiro shot Yuina a look, "Don't blame me if you catch a cold later. Then, Brother Ryuu would blame me for not taking care of you well. He would nag and nag and nag at me. Don't you pity your brother?"

Yuina rolled her eyes.

This stinky brother of hers had such a loudmouth. No wonder he still couldn't get himself a girlfriend.

She pressed the button, winding the window up. The spring breeze was cut off from continuing blowing into the car. Hiro gave her a thumbs-up.

Yuina adjusted her posture on the seat. With one hand propped on the car windowsill supporting her head, she cast a dubious look at Hiro.

Although this trip was planned in secret by her husband, Yuina could roughly guess Hiro's urgency wasn't only due to his brother-in-law's task for him.

There was something else that prompted Hiro to go away from the city as soon as possible.

"Aren't you so obvious that you want to escape from going home?"

The instant her words fill the car, Hiro flinched.

He was quick to look at Yuina, blinked twice then looked again to the road ahead of him.

"Aha... Ahaha, what are you saying, Sister? Nonsense," Hiro quickly denied Yuina's assumptions.

Yuina lightly shook her head.

"What else happened to you? Does Aunt still pester you about getting the money again? She still hasn't given up?"

With every word flowed out of her mouth, Yuina's eyes continued flickering in cold light. She didn't have warmth to give to her biological aunt even an ounce.

If not for Hiro, she would outrightly ignore that woman.

Hiro glanced at Yuina for a moment, thinking how should he answer her. He didn't mind her cold tone when talking about his mother.

Unfortunately, his mother didn't deserve any respect from her own niece.

The young man answered, "Well, you know that Mom is always like that. Last night, that old man's friends came again. All of them urged me to help Mom with the investment. In the end, I called the police then ran out of the house. I stayed with my friend last night."

Hiro let out a loud sigh, showing how frustrated he was with the situation.

"I said that I won't mind if Mom wanted to use the money for her own good but, if she wanted to waste it away with that dubious investments, I won't give her any of it."

Yuina felt sorry for her cousin brother as she listened to his story.

Hiro was a good child. Even though he was raised up by those kinds of parents, he still grew up splendidly.

Well, there were times when he was led astray by his old friends but, it happened long ago. Now, he was on the right path and Yuina was proud of him.

"Do you realize that they won't stop until they get what they want?" Yuina asked in concern.

This time, Hiro managed to get away but, how about the other time? She understood how persistent those old foxes were.

Hiro snickered. Mischief glinted in his eyes as he smiled evilly, "Hehe, I already got a solution for that. Brother Ryuu helped me with it. Those men won't have time to pester me in these few days."

"What? Ryuu helped you with what?"

Yuina was both confused and intrigued once she heard that.

Her husband indeed had known of the trouble that Hiro had to face right now but she didn't know that Ryuu had ways to solve them.

What did he tell Hiro to do?

Hiro laughed again, sounding so wicked with his eyes bent, "Brother Ryuu got someone to create fake news about those men."

Once he finished his sentence, Hiro stopped as he couldn't cease laughing. His shoulders shook nonstop. The inside of the car vibrated due to his cackle.

"Fake news?" Yuina frowned. She slapped her brother's arm in annoyance, "Hey! Hurry up! Don't make me wait! Tell me everything!"

What made her brother looked so satisfied? And so evil?

Based on Hiro's reaction, it must be something fun and satisfying at the same time.

Hiro wasn't even mad when Yuina kept pushing him. He flashed her a bright smile.

"HAHA! Sister, do you know what? Now, those old foxes are busy dealing with their angry wives!"

"...Huh?"

Under his sister's blanked look, Hiro explained.

"Hehe, the news said the investment was for them to open a bar. The bar wasn't the problem but, those crooks would hire young and beautiful ladies there. Because they were so used to fooling around with women, Brother Ryuu hired paparazzi to snap their photos and deliver them to their wives. One of them was even caught in bed with his mistress. I heard his rich wife is threatening to divorce him."

Yuina was dumbfounded. She really didn't expect this was the case.

"So, they would be busy with this issue and would have no time to continue badgering on you?" She made a conclusion.

"Hehe, I hope I would be lucky enough to not meet them again at all," Hiro hummed happily.

Yuina smiled faintly.

It was hard for Hiro but, she was grateful because this little brother of hers could still be optimistic. If not, how could he raise from being the student who occupied the last place in school-ranking to someone who leaped to 100-mark before he graduated?

Both Yuina and Hiro were the same.

Because they met Ryuu, they found a crack of light in the darkness that enveloped them.

Ryuu helped her to escape the hellish place.

Ryuu also helped her brother to gain his confidence after being disappointed by his surroundings for a long time.

Yuina threw a glance outside the car window. Her eyes fell on the tiny houses in the middle of the vast greenery. They appeared so peaceful despite looking so small.

Suddenly, she missed him so much.

The feeling of missing him dearly sprouted in her heart, flowed out until it spread into her entire being.

While Yuina and Hiro were still on the journey, Himari, her mother and Chobi had already arrived at the strawberry farm resort. They checked in the room that Himari booked and rested before decided when to go out and have fun.

"Our lunch would be sent later. Mom, do you want to immediately go to the strawberry farm after lunch? Or, do you want to rest again?"

Himari looked up from her phone to her mother. She had just unpacked a few of her things.

"Meow, meow~"

Chobi ran from the bed to Akemi who was lounging on an armchair opposite the windows.

The view outside their room presented them with a stream together with various plants. The sound of water running in the stream echoed faintly in the air, dispersing inside their room.

"We could go after lunch. I don't mind," Akemi answered before yawning.

Himari laughed to see how sleepy her mother was.

"Mom, take a nap. I'll call you once lunch is here."

"En, en," Akemi answered.

Before she closed her eyes, Akemi grabbed the cloth eye-mask to cover her eyes. Chobi leaped on the armchair and nestled on a spot next to his Grandma's legs. The human and the cat peacefully took a nap together.

Himari laughed softly. She laid on the bed while checking the brochure of the resort.

There would be fun activities that could be done here. Instead of only visiting and picking the strawberries, the visitors could even learn to make their own jams as well as other strawberry-related desserts.

The main attraction was the strawberry farm and the grape farm within the resort compound but, there were other interesting events as well like visiting the local market, going for a horse ride at the next-door ranch, boating on a river alongside the ranch as well as other small activities.

Himari just wanted to have fun here. She didn't want to be reminded of what happened yesterday.

Yesterday evening, before sundown, Himari brought Chobi to walk around the village. She had just visited Granny Saichi when she encountered two long-tongued women outside the yard.

They asked her who was the young man exited her house earlier. It was clear that they just wanted to gossip instead of merely asking.

"He looked like he came from the city. Did he come to see you, Himari?"

"Was he your boyfriend? I think I've seen him before but, it's too long ago I couldn't even recall it."

"Did you guys have a fight? So, he came here to coax you?"

"Tsk, no wonder you didn't have any liking to the men here. You only have city guys in your eyes."

In the end, Granny Shaichi came out of her house and scolded them. The two aunties immediately left while still moving their lips to speak nonsense.

Himari sighed softly.

She had to make sure this kind of thing didn't happen again. She really didn't want her peaceful days to be disturbed by Jun.

Turning to lie on her right side, Himari played with her phone. Her eyes went to the photos sent by Kazuya yesterday. They were mostly Chiharu's cute photos.

She couldn't help but wonder what did the three of them do today?
