Awake on his bed

"Mommy! Come on. We have to hurry!" Little Maria said as she shoved her sandwich into her small mouth.

"What's the rush baby?"her mother aksed

"We have to be there early, so the mass will end early also"

"Oh baby! Hahaha You're funny, you're just excited to see your new friend." her mother teases her.

"of course not! I'm just excited to play at the park." Little Maria denied, but her face tells the other way.

"as you said baby. Now, brush your teeth and we're leaving in a minute."

"okay mommy!" saidMaria as she rush to the bathroom.

When they arrive at the church, Little Maria excitedly scan the surroundings to find a familiar face but to her dismay she cant find Toby everywhere. She became sad and her mother saw it.

"Whats wrong baby?"

"nothing"

"but you look sad, is it because Toby is not around?"

Her mother knew Toby because he and Little Maria became friends for almost 2 months and they played after every mass at the park.

Little Maria shook her head in response. Her mother just let her be and focus on the mass.

Because she had nothing to do, she just sit there quietly and remember their past conversation.

"whats your favorite flower Iya?"

"Iya? Me?"

"yes you"

"why Iya?"

"because i just want to. So that I am the only one who can call you that name."

Little Maria became silent for a while not able to say anything.

"my favorite flower is sunflower. How about you?"

She said diverting the topic.

"me? of course i dont have!"

"why?"

"because im a boy and liking flower is a girly thing."Toby reasoned out.

"its not like that!"

"it is! change topic, whats your favorite food?"

"i like, no, love pizza and spaghetti!" Little Maria said enthusiastically.

"really? me too!!" Toby copied her reaction.

"really?!" Little Maria asked excitedly. Happy to know that they share the same likes about food.

"yeah, i love it with more cheese and sauce!"

"ohmygosh! me too! me too!" she replied exaggeratedly.

"thats wonderful! if we go out we should order a lot of pizza and spaghetti and we will eat it together!" Toby tell her and continue

"and when we grow old i want to share all my foods with you."

"really? why? we cant tell the future. And when we grow old we cant sure if we can be still together." Little Maria reasoned out feeling bad.

"no! i'll make sure that we can be together when we grow old!" Toby said, determined.

"why are you insisting that?" she confusedly asked

"because i like you!"
