She plastered her sweetest smile at him.

Maria saw Tobias was in shocked, but Charlotte's expression was the best! She tried hard not to laugh.

"you gave her roses?!"

Charlotte was fuming with anger.

Tobias remained silent which made Charlotte furious.

Maria smirked inwardly and asked Charlotte.

"did sir Tobias never gave you flowers since then?"

She pretend to be asking her naïvely.

Maria was seeing the invisible smoke that coming out on Charlotte's ears and nose!

"you bitch! I don't care if he never gave me flowers. At least he gave me himself!"

Charlotte said proudly.

"people said that when a man gave you flowers it mean that he likes you. Based on your story, you just have his body, but not his heart!"

she explained to Charlotte, mocking her.

Maria was partying inside her head.

Charlotte shouted at her. She walked towards Maria trying to slap her.

Tobias who remained silent all this time, decided to speak.

he pulled her away from Maria.

Charlotte asked him, felt betrayed.

she said, her eyes began to tear up. Charlotte turned her gaze towards Maria.

he pointed the door.

Charlotte was stunned to received his wrath, her tears started to fall. She wiped it and left them after giving Maria a murderous look.

Maria just smiled at her in response.

She felt a little nervous because of the awkward atmosphere. She glanced at Tobias just to see him looking at her intently.

She was ready to faced him and listened to his rant, but he left after giving her a kind of stare that only him can make.

Maria can't forget that look on Charlotte's face, but she felt a little bit guilty for making them quarrel.

She was wondering why Tobias not talking to her. He will just talked if its necessarily. Is he that mad to her? Maria thought they'd already made amends.

She felt her heart hurt a little.

She even made lunch for him today! Maria decided to apologize to him and gave him his lunch.

It was already lunch time but Tobias never left his office.

Maria stood up and took her home made lunch and walked towards his private office.

She calmed herself because she was freaking nervous!

She knocked 3 times and waited for a while. The door swung open and Tobias head poked out.

"what?"

he asked casually, avoiding her gaze.

Maria observed that his face became haggard, it looked like he never shaved for how many days and he even developed dark circles on his eyes.

"I brought you lunch Sir."

she said nervously.

"I'm not hungry."

"but I made it for you."

she insisted, showing the food container.

Tobias didn't speak but open the door widely.

She entered then put the food on the center table at his office. She started to prepare the food and looked at him.

Maria felt conscious to received his intense gaze.She decided to moved his attention on the food.

"you can eat now sir."

she speak shyly and decided to leave.

"where are you going?"

"to eat lunch"

"you can eat with me"

he said, still looking at her.

Why was he looking at her so intense? Maria felt her faced blushed.

She saw Tobias smiled for the first time.

"let's eat together"

Tobias talked to her.

"I'll just get my food"

she quickly left and when she arrived Tobias was already seated on a chair and waiting for her.

"come on, let's eat I'm hungry."

Tobias called her and patted the space next to him.

Her eyes went wide, why was he want her to sit beside him? There's a chair in front of him.

"I'll just sit here Sir."

She politely declined and seated on it.

They were silently eating when Tobias speak.

"who gave you that bracelet?"
