Awake on his bed

"who gave you that bracelet?"

Maria who were supposedly putting a shrimp on her mouth, paused for a while and looked at him.

She seemed hesitant but gave in afterwards.

"my childhood friend"

she put the shrimp on her mouth and munch it.

"who's childhood friend?"

he felt a little disappointment. He's just a childhood friend to her? For him, she was his childhood sweetheart! Until now, he left special space for her in his heart.

He was done eating, so he decided to asked her about her childhood life more.

Tobias was very excited to tell her about him, but he controlled himself.

Not now!

"he's name was Toby."

she smiled as if remembering her childhood memories.

She was informing him the things that he already knew about. Tobias pretended not to know anything and continue to interrogate her.

"do you like him?"

"yes, he was nice and caring but sometimes a little bit bossy."

she laughed, as if he was not there. Tobias smiled inwardly.

So, she likes him?

He remained to be serious and just listened to her.

"he even told me not to be friends with other boys!"

she exclaimed, put her chopsticks down and drink water.

"such a silly boy! But I missed his silliness and naughtiness. I never had the chance to know him more because his parents decided to migrate on US. I missed those days."

Tobias saw the sadness in Maria's eyes.

How he wanted to hug and comfort her, but he can't do that!

He just can't!

"oh, I've talked too much! I'm sorry sir, please excuse me I'll just clean this."

she started cleaning the center table and put aside the food container.

Tobias just watch her work. He felt guilty and depressed at the same time. How can he tell her that he was her childhood friend Toby?

He took something from her! Said something awful towards her!

He wanted to kill himself for being a jerk!

"I'll take my leave now Sir."

Maria said and went towards the door.

"miss Ho?"

F**k! He wanted to call her Iya, his Iya, but he can't!

"Sir?"

"I'm sorry"

he apologized, still looking at her in the eyes sincerely. Tobias wanted to let Maria knew how sorry he was.

"its okay sir, I guessed I am the one who should be sorry because you and Charlotte fought because of me. I'm very sorry for that."

she smiled at him politely.

Tobias knew that Maria get the wrong idea but he just let it.

"don't think about it."

he said and just looked at her, agony was on his eyes.

"okay Sir"

she nodded and open the door and went out.

Tobias gazed was still focused on the closed door. He was angry at himself for bring born as Tobias Chiu!

He really hate himself for it!

Tobias want to give everything to her. He wanted to ease her pain that she was experiencing right now!

He knew everything about her, all of it. Even the tiniest information about her. He wanted to comfort her. She maybe looked happy outside but he knew, she was bleeding inside. She has no one to run to.

His heart was aching because of that.

Tobias was in agony.
