Awake on his bed

If he was an actor, he was so sure to win an award!

The doctor seemed to believed him.

"the patients were on a critical conditions, especially the mother."

The doctor said seriously. The man on the other hand, was beyond shock!

"she lost lots of blood and we need to gave her more blood. For the babies its not the right time for them to come out, so we placed them inside the incubator. But we can't felt relieved now, they're still on a critical condition."

The doctor speak in a very professional way.

The man felt a chill ran down his spine. He felt more depressed to heard what the doctor told him!

What if they arrived at the hospital very late? Is she going to be dead by now?! Were the babies going to be dead by now?!

That horrible thought gave him goosebumps!

The doctor also informed him that Maria will be placed on the ICU and he doesn't knew when will she open her eyes.

The man sat on the chair helplessly. He doesn't knew what to do! He just sat there for a long while then he stood up to go to the ICU.

Before he could get there, he passed on the hospital chapel. He hesitated for a while, but he stepped inside the chapel after for so many thoughts.

He sat on the chair and clasped his hands together. He prayed solemnly.

'Dear God, why it has to be critical? Can You please spare their life? The babies didn't see the world yet, and their mother was very excited to see them. Please God, helped them. Amen.'

After the man prayed, he went to the ICU.There, he saw the unconscious Maria. There were lots of tubes connecting her body, like for blood and for her dextrose.

She even have a mask for oxygen!

He clenched his teeth and balled his fist to contain his anger. He had thoughts rummaging inside his mind. He swear not to leave Maria and the babies.

He will patiently wait for them to recover their health. He was engrossed looking pitifully at Maria when his phone rang. He looked at the caller and answer it slowly.

"hello?"

"where were you?"

"I'm at the ho....I'm at the hotel, I'm having dinner with a client."

The man reasoned out, he had a feeling that he can't trust the person on the other line.

"okay, when will you be coming back?"

"I don't know, I think I'm going to take a leave from work. Why'd you called?"

He said seriously and looked again at the paled face of maria through the mirror.

"I have some important matters to talked with you"

The person on the other line said anxiously.

"woman?"
