#113 - Loa's Fall Project!
When Al saw the mage trio again, the three archmages, who had originally been full of vigor, were now like candles flickering in the wind.
Only Neras Erian's condition was still relatively good. Anselem and Kalein had already fallen into a deep coma, and Kalein was in even more critical condition, close to death.
Al stared at the festering wounds and purplish-blue face of Kalein, and couldn't help but feel a little guilty.
"Al... Mentor, please!"
Erian's eyes were red, and he said, choking with emotion.
Al didn't say anything more, but silently gathered the power within him.
After a moment, light green natural elements gathered in the young man's hands, and soon seeped into the bodies of Kalein and Anselem through his hands.
After a moment of stagnation, a rich aura of life swirled throughout the room, until it was completely absorbed by the two archmages, and the hazy color in the air completely dissipated.
"Huff..."
Al lowered his head, wiping the sweat from his forehead. The action just now seemed to have exhausted all of his energy, leaving him very tired.
Feeling the emptiness of the natural divinity and life divinity within him, and looking at the gradually rosy faces of the two, the young man couldn't help but reveal a bright smile.
"Just in time..."
......
Anselem gradually woke up. He jumped out of bed in a panic, as if he had thought of something. It wasn't until he saw the dim light in the room and Kalein sleeping beside him that he breathed a sigh of relief.
"We're saved!"
"Thank you for your hard work..."
Al's voice rang out somewhat abruptly in the room. Anselem was startled at first, and then completely relaxed like a deflated ball.
Completely relaxed, Anselem then remembered his severely injured companion, and hurriedly jumped out of bed to check on Kalein's condition.
When he saw Kalein's intact body under his tattered robes, even the knowledgeable archmage couldn't help but be shocked.
"Holy light above... this is simply... this is simply..."
"Simply a miracle?"
Erian asked back, equally shocked.
"That's right, it's simply a miracle. Mentor Al, how did you do it..."
"Let's not talk about that for now. Let's talk about your experiences. I'm very curious about your adventures in Zul'Gurub."
The young man sat in front of Kalein's bed, crossed his legs, and looked with great interest at Anselem and Erian, who were questioning their lives.
"As you wish..."
At Al's prompting, Anselem also sat down and began to recall that time in Zul'Gurub, which was the most thrilling and closest to death.
......
"Erian, let's kill her together. Every second we delay, Kalein will be in more danger!"
Anselem, who had finally waited for Malley, was about to rush forward and eliminate this secretive woman.
"Wait! Wait a little longer!"
Erian did not respond to Anselem's request. A calm light flashed in his eyes. If there was a mirror at this time, then Erian would definitely be very surprised, because the man in the mirror no longer had his original naivety and immaturity.
"What are you waiting for! If we wait any longer, Kalein will die!"
Anselem suppressed the anxiety in his heart and roared in Erian's ear.
"Wait..."
"No! I'm going to kill her now!"
The impatient Anselem decided not to wait any longer. He rushed out of the corner quickly, preparing to give the woman in front of him a fatal blow from a suitable position.
"Come back quickly! This is a trap!"
Erian anxiously wanted to grab his companion's sleeve, but found that Anselem had already rushed out under the cover of invisibility.
"Damn it!"
Hammering the loose soil on the ground with hatred, Erian had no choice but to move towards Malley's direction.
Anselem used invisibility to come to a distance of about 40 yards from Malley. This was the farthest distance he could cast spells. Although he was anxious to save his friend, he still kept an eye out and did not rashly approach.
The archmage originally wanted to use the powerful Pyroblast to kill the high priestess in front of him, but remembering the huge commotion of Pyroblast, he decisively gave up, and instead chose Arcane Missiles, which were not bad in power and speed, but required a short chant.
"Powerful arcane missile!"
(Powerful Arcane Missile)
Pale purple arcane missiles gradually took shape in Anselem's hands. Just as three beautiful missiles flashing with arcane particles took shape, a change occurred!
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Ah!"
The crisp explosion of the arcane missiles hitting the high priestess and the archmage's scream rang out at the same time.
Anselem's spell was interrupted after only chanting one-third of it. Two ghostly spiders that appeared from the shadows ruthlessly gnawed at his ankles.
In less than a breath, the archmage's face turned black and purple, and he fell straight to the ground.
......
"I'm sorry, Mentor, my memory ends here. Perhaps you should ask Erian about the rest. It must be his credit that we were able to appear here safely."
Anselem said with three parts frustration, three parts gratitude, and three parts confusion.
"If it weren't for your efforts, we would have all died here..."
Hearing his companion's praise, Erian hurriedly retorted. Then, he seemed to remember that Al was still waiting for his 'story', so he straightened his body and hurriedly began to tell everything that happened next.
......
"Damn it!"
Erian watched Anselem fall with his eyes wide open, but he did not rush to rescue him. He couldn't let his companion's efforts become meaningless.
"Cough cough..."
During the time that Erian was being a Voldemort, there was finally movement on the high priestess's side.
"Cough cough..."
Malley staggered towards Anselem's 'corpse'. When she saw the archmage twitching from time to time, she finally couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Children... dinner is served!"
Malley took out a stone statue from her arms, raised it high above her head, and prayed loudly, as if performing some kind of ritual.
The ordinary stone statue gradually turned red in Malley's chanting. At this moment, one blood-red spider after another crawled out from the high priestess's feet and began to swarm towards Anselem's direction.
"Opportunity!"
Seeing Malley's actions, Erian finally decided not to wait any longer. He took out a delicate and compact engineering creation from his spatial backpack.
This was a game creation that Al gave him, but he had always regarded it as a treasure. Until today, this strange object finally came in handy.
[Translocation Device]: Swaps the caster's position with an item within 30 yards that weighs no more than 5KG (cannot move living things)
The archmage's figure gradually became illusory under the activation of the engineering device. In just one-thousandth of a second, Erian appeared above Malley's head, while a red stone statue appeared in the archmage's original position.
"How could..."
Marlie's astonished and terrified face appeared in Elan's burning pupils. Before the high priest could react, the archmage struck, and the headless corpse, spurting blood, slumped to the ground.
“Huff… huff…”
Casually tossing Marlie's corpse and the distant Shadra statue into his spatial backpack, the moment the Shadra statue disappeared from the material world, all those densely packed blood-red spiders stopped moving and scurried back into the ground in a flash.
Seeing this, Elan quickly knelt down to check on his companion's condition.
“Ansrem! Wake up! Ansrem!”
No matter how Elan called, Ansrem in his arms showed no response at all. If it weren't for the slight rise and fall of his chest, Elan would have thought he was already dead.
“Damn it! I'm such an idiot!”
Wiping away the tears from the corners of his eyes, Elan seemed to remember something and frantically began rummaging through the spatial backpack at his waist.

A moment later, he carefully took out a blue pill radiating a strong magical fluctuation and placed it in Ansrem's mouth.
Finally, after a difficult wait, Ansrem's complexion improved slightly.
“Phew…”
Relieved, Elan didn't dare to delay and quickly carried Ansrem on his back, sprinting towards Kalain's direction.
'Teacher Ayr said that this pill is a supplement that combines Sunwell water with Egilson's magic essence. Although I don't know who Egilson is, your selfless dedication saved Ansrem's life!'
Egilson: So, it's not over yet, is it?
… …
Elan ran wildly all the way, but he didn't see any pursuers. Listening to the originally very dense explosions beginning to become sporadic, he had to speed up his pace.
“Faster! Faster!”
Elan didn't care about anything else, desperately squeezing his physical strength. Finally, when the sky was full of rosy clouds, he arrived at Ansrem's previous location.
A large expanse of thick fog obscured the archmage's vision. Only when he got closer did he realize how tragic the scene before him was.
Fragmented troll limbs were scattered in every corner of the battlefield, and the ground was covered with traces of scorching flames.
Fierce roars and intense clashes of weapons came closer. Elan no longer had time to check the surrounding traces of battle, and he rushed into the center of the battlefield with several Blink spells.
The scene that came into his eyes startled him. One after another, Gurubashi guards raised their weapons and fought each other. Elan keenly noticed that a troll berserker, shaped like a small mountain, was gnawing on the corpses of his companions, which almost made him vomit.
“It's an illusion! It must be Kalain's illusion!”
Elan excitedly looked around, but he didn't find Kalain's figure, which undoubtedly poured a bucket of cold water on the archmage who had just raised hope.
“Kalain! Where are you? Kalain!”
Elan no longer cared about anything else and began to shout Kalain's name loudly.
“Cough cough…”
Just when the archmage was about to despair, a weak cough made him freeze in place. Then, he quickly ran back in the opposite direction.
“Kalain! Is that you? Where are you?”
Elan followed the sound just now and finally found the dying Kalain at the end of the thick fog.
Spider corpses were everywhere, including those widow spiders and venom blood spiders the size of calves.
Kalain was leaning against a broken statue at this time. His face was pale green, and under his tattered robes were shocking pustules and wounds. Elan looked at his companion in front of him with some choked sobs, wondering what had made him persevere until now.
“I… thought… you would… be slower…”
“Let's go! I'll take you home!”
Wiping away the tears from his eyes without a trace, Elan cast a Mage Hand to suspend Kalain in mid-air.
“Illus… illus… illus…”
Kalain struggled to arch his upper body, as if he wanted to say something.
“I know, the illusion is about to disappear. Don't worry, I will take you home!”
Elan stuffed the only remaining Egilson supplement in his spatial backpack into Kalain's mouth and cast a Sleep spell on the archmage.
Feeling the still-sufficient element pool in his body, Elan took out the necessary materials to open the portal from the spatial backpack and began to construct the portal to Ayr's Light headquarters with undivided attention.
“We fell into the trap of those white-skinned people!”
“Kill those intruders!”
… …
The large-scale illusion in the entire battlefield gradually dissipated after Kalain fell into a coma. Those trolls who had killed each other became violent after discovering the companions who had been killed by their own hands and began to frantically search for the trio's tracks.
“Buzz…”
Elan looked at the portal in front of him with joy and quickly threw Kalain and Ansrem into it. Just as he was about to walk into the portal, he suddenly thought of something, which made him hesitate.
“No, I have to go back!”
Casually obliterating the newly built portal, Elan suddenly felt something was wrong. Almost instinctively, he rolled away, and a spinning flying axe brushed past Elan's back, leaving a deep wound that revealed bone.
“Found him!”
“Roar!”
An angry roar sounded not far from the archmage. The troll berserker, like a small mountain, rushed towards him like a charging tank.
“Huff…”
Elan took a deep breath, but strangely, there was no regret or fear in his eyes, only a faint smile.
“I will be back!”
Secretly vowing in his heart, the archmage's figure disappeared with a burst of faint purple light.
And at the moment the archmage disappeared, the tank-like berserker also rushed over. His low intelligence did not make him realize that the enemy had already disappeared. His speed did not decrease but increased, and he crashed head-on into the already dilapidated statue.
With a loud 'crash', this ancient statue with at least a thousand years of history was turned into dust by the impact of this beast… …
… …
Elan stood behind Wenoxis with lingering fear. This pathetic troll was buried in the mud by the three archmages, leaving only a head. In order to prevent his escape, Elan also thoughtfully filled his mouth with mud and algae, and released a bunch of negative spells on him before leaving.
Looking at the high priest whose left arm was shattered but still unconscious, Elan couldn't help but show an admiring look.
“Fortunately, I left a miniature teleportation beacon on Wenoxis. Teacher Ayr's wisdom is indeed as deep as the sea!”
… …
“Clap clap clap”
Clear applause rang in the small room. Ayr looked at the two with approval.
“What a thrilling adventure! The three of you have passed my test. Now, I solemnly invite you to participate in my research project.”
“Really! Teacher!”
Kalain, who had been lying on the bed eavesdropping, jumped up all of a sudden. Where did he look like he was just weak?
“Teacher, can I know what your research topic is?”
Although Elan was also very happy, he couldn't help but ask.
“The Fall of the Loa…”
Ayr smiled mysteriously. Facing the archmage's inquiry, he finally no longer concealed it and spoke out the ambition in his heart.
