Azeroth Monster Manual
#117 - Winoxis the Hypocrite
“Let's see our old friend.”
As Al spoke, he pushed open a door radiating scorching heat, leading the three of them to the most mysterious final level.
The wave of heat that hit them made the three of them quite uncomfortable. Under Al's guidance, they all put on ice shields. It was no wonder it was so hot here, after all, the next level down was molten lava.
“This is… Wenoxis? That high priest?”
Kael'thas pointed at the troll curled up in the cage, asking in disbelief.
Wenoxis, who appeared before them, was already dehydrated at this time, lying dying in the corner of the cage, breathing with difficulty.
“Haha, a perfect plan has flaws, a perfect plan has flaws.”
Al chuckled and condensed a ball of pure water, pouring it on Wenoxis.
“Water… water…”
Wenoxis woke up from his stupor with a jolt, greedily licking the water stains on his lips and arms, but he couldn't get enough.
“Speak, tell me everything you know, and you can drink as much water as you want.”
Al looked at the troll with red eyes at his leisure, and said slowly.
After a long while…
“You said your name is Wenoxis, a priest of Sethe?”
The young man played with the viper statue in his hand with interest, and asked jokingly.
“Y-yes…”
Wenoxis stared at the ball of incomparably sweet pure water floating around Al, and couldn't help licking his chapped lips.
“But as far as I know, Sethe is already dead.”
“You! You're talking nonsense, that's impossible!”
Wenoxis's pupils shrank, he didn't dare to look at the young man's deep eyes, he could only argue loudly.
Al approached the troll, looked directly into those blood-red eyes, and said slowly:
“Sethe has a wide range of followers, and his devout snake-men priests are also trying their best to run around for him, looking for ways to resurrect the snake god, but this does not include you, false believer… Wenoxis.”
“I… I'm not, I…”
Wenoxis still wanted to argue, but Al didn't give him a chance at all. Ice magic swirled, whistling and forming a slender blade flashing with cold light.
The trio watched the ice magic blade in the young man's hand in amazement.
To be able to condense such abundant ice elements in a place close to magma, it has to be said that he is indeed Instructor Al.
The three sighed in unison.
Before the troll could react, the young man raised and dropped his knife. Wenoxis's newly grown arm fell to the ground instantly without any hindrance, like a hot knife cutting butter.
“Ah!”
Wenoxis clutched his severed arm and howled in pain, rolling frantically in the cage.
“Prolonged dehydration coupled with excessive blood loss, guess how much time you have left to waste?”
Al smiled and condensed the splashed blood in the air. In a few breaths, a dark red, strange blood ball appeared at the troll's mouth.
“Do you want to taste what your own blood tastes like?”
Before the troll could open his mouth, Al manipulated the stinky blood ball and stuffed it into Wenoxis's mouth.
“Cough cough… cough cough…”
Wenoxis coughed violently. He quickly spat out the blood in his mouth, but the blood ball seemed to have its own consciousness. Even if he spat it out again and again, the blood ball would rush into his mouth again until he swallowed it.
Wenoxis opened his weak eyes and stared at the young man in horror. Al smiled brightly, but the young man appearing in the troll's eyes was no different from a demon.
“I… I'll talk…”
Wenoxis said with difficulty, the troll's will was completely destroyed.
… …
“I am a follower of the snake god Hir'eek. He doesn't allow me to report his name, he only allows me to use the title of Sethe priest…”
“Hir'eek…”
Al rubbed his chin, carefully recalling the name Hir'eek.
As everyone knows, trolls have many tribal branches due to different living environments. Trolls from different tribes will believe in different systems of Loa gods.
For example, the Darkspear tribe that joined the tribe later. Some jungle trolls in the Darkspear tribe believe that bird gods are weak and fickle, and they are not worthy of being believed in and should be left to the Amani tribe.
Therefore, the gods worshiped by the Amani trolls are mostly birds of prey, such as dragonhawks, eagles, etc.
Zul'Gurub is obviously an exception. Although the warlock Jin'do is an Akali priest who serves the blood god Hakkar, he is very tolerant of the beliefs of his subordinates.
In Al's memory, the Zul'Gurub of the previous life had a total of five high priests. The names of these high priests were: Thekal, Wenoxis, Mar'li, Sethe, and Hazzarah.
In order, these priests respectively believed in Hir'eek (Bat Loa), Hir'eek (Snake Loa), Shadra (Spider Loa), Shirvallah (Tiger Loa), and Bethekk (Panther Loa).
During the battle, they would shout the names of the Loa gods they believed in, gain strength and transform into animal forms.

Al was very familiar with Sethe, a respectable Loa who sacrificed himself to prevent the appearance of the Old Gods, but Al was very unfamiliar with the name Hir'eek. Even after searching all his memories, he didn't have a clue about this name.
“Tell me about Hir'eek…”
After a long silence, Al continued to ask.
“Hir'eek is a strange and vicious god. Although his power is not worth mentioning, the poison on his body is very terrifying. Even a little bit of poison can easily kill a legend like you!”
Wenoxis drank the pure water in the cup and said Hir'eek's information with satisfaction.
“Poison… instant kill legend…”
Al frowned and pondered, muttering to himself.
“That's right, his poison will not only corrode your blood and flesh, but even the mana, rage, voodoo, and all the power in your body will be easily contaminated by his poison.”
Wenoxis may have already understood his fate, so he no longer concealed it and told everything he knew without any scruples.
“Do you recognize this?”
Al took out a delicate spider statue from his arms and handed it to Wenoxis.
“This is… Shadra's idol! Did you kill Mar'li?”
Wenoxis carefully looked at the idol in his hand, and then said tremblingly after a while.
“That's right, how much do you know about Shadra's situation? How does Hir'eek's venom compare to Shadra's?”
Al took the statue from the troll's hand and asked softly.
“Shadra is a spider loa, known as the Poison Spider Queen, Death's Embrace, and Silk Dancer. My understanding of him is only poison, cunning, and swiftness.
Legend has it that he has sharp leg claws that can easily cut open the skull of a raptor. His web is extremely tough, and even flames cannot burn it. There is also venom and speed, but I have never received Shadra's oracle, and I only have a few encounters with Mar'li. That's all I know…”
Wenoxis recalled everything he knew and told it in detail, just hoping to die quickly.
“Spider webs that cannot be burned by flames…”
Al carefully chewed on the information he had just obtained and fell into deep thought for a while.
“I have already told you everything you want, you… I only ask to die quickly…”
Wenoxis thought of the day and night he spent in this 'Scorching Hell', and then thought of Al's smiling appearance just now, and couldn't help but shudder. At this time, his face was ashen and he had no hope of survival at all.
“I want you to do one thing. If this thing can be successful, not only will you not die, but you can get something you have never gotten before…”
Al looked at Wenoxis's terrified eyes and said seductively.
“W-what?”
Wenoxis backed away unconsciously, and after a while, he bumped into the iron cage, making a 'clang' sound.
“Summon Hir'eek!”
