Azeroth Monster Manual
#123 - Have you finally remembered that you are a hunter?
"You idiot, you almost killed him!"
After exhausting almost all of his remaining natural divine power, El finally managed to save the poor Gul'bashi troll.
Venoxis's injuries were clearly more serious than El had imagined.
Prolonged seawater intrusion caused pulmonary edema, while drowning caused systemic hypoxia, leading to cerebral edema.
The lung infection that occurred after seawater entered the lungs, coupled with Hermit's chaotic pressing, resulted in rib fractures that pierced the lungs.
El couldn't help but marvel at the troll's tenacious vitality. If it were any other race, they would probably be preparing for a funeral feast, while Venoxis endured until El arrived, single-handedly pulling himself back from the brink of death.
"Eran, Venoxis is in your care. I have sealed the voodoo and elemental pool within his body. Don't let anything else happen to him!"
El glared fiercely at Hermit before instructing the Archmage.
"Yes! Mentor!"
Hearing their conversation, Venoxis finally breathed a sigh of relief, and the multicolored face regained its original color.
It seemed that Hermit's torment had left a deep impression on him.
"Let's go!"
El took Milune's small hand and walked ahead of the group.
The trembling little deer, upon feeling the warmth of the young man's hand, found her initial fear dissipating.
The young man seemed to possess a calming power that relaxed those who came into contact with him.
Milune felt inexplicably happy, skipping along behind the young man, letting El hold her delicate little hand.
As the group ventured deeper, they soon arrived at a fork in the road, which stumped them.
"Lord El, which path should we take?"
Hermit, perhaps due to the recent shock or the unsettling cold and dampness of the tunnel, had become very cautious.
The young man looked up at Milune, but the little deer shook her head shyly.
El turned his head, seeing everyone staring intently at him.
After a helpless smile, a rich green light flickered on the young man's chest, and a faint fragrance gradually filled the tunnel.
"That's the last bit of natural divine power. I hope it works."
El closed his eyes slightly and sighed softly.
"SaSa…"
A series of rapid sounds approached from afar, and the group looked around in alarm, but found nothing.
"Crab… crabs…"
Venoxis's voice drew everyone's attention. They looked towards the troll and saw a dense swarm of crabs appearing before them. These crabs were of various colors and different species, but they all had the same target - El.
A giant crab crawled the fastest, appearing at El's feet in a few breaths.
El smiled slightly, squatted down, and gently imprinted the last trace of emerald light in his palm onto the crab's thick shell.
"Little guy, do you know which way to go?"
The young man spoke softly to the crab, like a playful child.
Just as everyone suppressed their laughter, preparing to see El make a fool of himself, the dazed crab actually quickly waved its large pincers, pointed at El, then pointed in one direction, and then ran away quickly.
After running a few steps, the big crab realized that the young man hadn't followed, and actually turned back, clamped onto the young man's robe, signaling El to follow its pace.
"It's saying, let us follow it, it knows which way to go."
Just as everyone was stunned, with looks of disbelief on their faces, Milune finally spoke up to explain.
…
Following the guidance of the big crab, the group passed through one fork after another and finally arrived at a small cave.
"Are you sure it's here?"
El pointed to the small cave in front of him, asking the crab at his feet with some doubt.
The big crab nodded very humanely, as if saying, "It's here, no problem."
"Alright, thank you for your hard work."
The young man squatted down and patted the big crab's thick shell. The big crab raised its large pincers and shook them vigorously, seeming unwilling to leave.
"It says it can protect you, it's very powerful!"
Milune covered her mouth and chuckled.
"Uh, thank you, little guy, goodbye."
El smiled wryly.
As if understanding the young man's words, the big crab finally left reluctantly.
After seeing off the big crab, the group, led by the young man, passed through the small cave that could only accommodate one person at a time, and finally arrived at their destination - the Dark Reef.
Just as everyone was excitedly looking around at the surroundings, a strange "hissing" sound suddenly appeared.
Dozens of hideous and terrifying male naga charged towards the group.
Naga are humanoid creatures with the lower body of a snake and scales all over their bodies, while these male naga have knotted muscles and dense, sharp teeth.
El's eyes lit up as he stared at the male naga charging towards them, signaling everyone not to interfere. The young man began to cast a spell.
A faint green glow flickered, and after a few breaths, these fierce and brutal sea raiders all collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
"Mass Sleep, an advanced version of Sleep. How about it? Only one point."
El looked at the shocked Archmages and said jokingly.
The trio hesitated for only a moment before shaking their heads in unison. Although this spell was very tempting, they clearly had more important goals.
"Alright."
Shaking his head indifferently, El went forward to check the state of the male naga with interest. It seemed that his occupational disease had relapsed.

"Hmm, snake-like pupils and tails, fish gills, shark teeth and murloc-like webbed hands. N'Zoth's aesthetic is really hard to describe, but to be fair, naga are indeed worthy of being called the overlords of the sea, but unfortunately there are no female naga…"
Shaking his head regretfully, El turned his head and silently nodded at Hermit.
Hermit: I knew it…
El and Milune walked in front, chatting and laughing, while the trio in the middle were excitedly discussing their mentor's Mass Sleep spell.
Hermit, with a lifeless expression, carried El's research material on his back - a living male naga weighing several tons.
The humanoid self-propelled transport machine was back in service after a long time.
…
El occasionally told Milune some interesting stories about the Eastern Kingdoms, making the girl giggle.
Milune had long lost her initial timidity, and the two walked through the dark and damp cave as if they were sightseeing.
Just as everyone relaxed their vigilance, a sorrowful roar resounded throughout the tunnel.
Milune's originally bright smile slowly faded, and she listened carefully to the plaintive cries.
"It says… it's in great pain…"
Milune said sadly.
El stopped and looked at the girl seriously.
"Do you want to save it, Milune?"
"Yes!"
Milune looked at El hopefully and nodded emphatically.
"Let's go, apprentices, we have work to do."
El smiled slightly and beckoned everyone to quicken their pace.
"Wait for me! Lord El!"
Hermit, struggling to drag the string of naga materials, shouted anxiously.
…
It was a giant turtle as big as a small mountain.
Milune walked tremblingly towards this behemoth. Thick chains were wrapped around the big guy's body, and there were whip marks on its brown skin. Countless iron nails were densely packed into its thick shell.
Milune clearly saw that those iron nails had pierced through the giant turtle's armor, and there were brown bloodstains on these rusty iron nails.
"It's so pitiful, let's save it."
Milune's eyes filled with tears, and she tugged at El's sleeve sadly.
"Bastards!"
Before El could speak, Hermit's angry roar rang in everyone's ears.
The old dwarf quickly took out the double-barreled shotgun from his spatial backpack and shot at the fleeing murlocs one after another. In a short while, the dry platform was covered with murloc corpses.
"Mr. Hermit… seems very angry?"
Eran said with some doubt. In his mind, Hermit had always been a hearty dwarf, seemingly without any guile, but the current Hermit was somewhat strange.
"It's okay, he just hates those idiots who abuse animals. Hermit is also a hunter with a story."
El stared at the frenzied old dwarf and said meaningfully.
"Hunter!? Are you kidding!?"
The trio exclaimed in unison. They really couldn't see where the old dwarf in the distance, who was taking out "kids" with one punch, looked like a hunter.
PS: Milune's personality is completely in line with the original, and has not been deliberately modified. Also, the old dwarf does have an unbearable past, which will be discussed later.
