Azeroth Monster Manual

#186 - Solve you in 30 minutes!

Shadra, also sensing Hakkar's aura, let out a deafening screech. The massive, black and red spindle spider took two steps back in a surprisingly human-like manner, then roared shrilly.

"This is a trap! Damn you, infidel! You deceived me! You deceived the Supreme Silk Dancer! I will tear you to pieces!"

Realizing she had been tricked, the great spider did not immediately choose to flee. Instead, she nimbly turned around and charged towards the altar, but Wenoxis was already gone.

"He runs fast."

Aier sighed helplessly. Even he hadn't seen when the troll had disappeared, but that was exactly what he wanted.

"You two stay here and don't move. The upcoming battle is not something you can interfere with."

The young man took a deep breath, then took out Aluneth and began to chant.

As the incantation grew more rapid, a faint golden light began to flicker. Shadra, who was rushing forward, suddenly stopped. The massive kinetic energy caused several huge pits to appear in the smooth ground. A giant golden cage appeared around Shadra.

Shadra's eight scarlet eyes flickered incessantly, observing the golden chains that had suddenly appeared on her body and the golden cage around her. Then, she let out a disdainful hiss.

"Do you think these weak spells can trap me? Damn you, ants! I will make you lowly creatures understand how tragic it is to fool a deity! I will make you pay the price you deserve!"

Shadra began to wave her eight sharp leg blades. After a few breaths, all the golden chains wrapped around her body were broken, and the golden cage around her was almost completely destroyed.

These chains and cages only lasted for a short ten seconds before being easily broken by Shadra.

"You? You dare call yourself a deity? Ignorant insect!"

Aier stood at the edge of the altar and mocked loudly. This made Shadra, who had just broken free, even more furious, but she didn't notice that in those short dozens of seconds, a faint purple portal had appeared behind Aier.

"A spindle spider? I'm already looking forward to seeing what amazing creations my Archmage can develop."

Anasterian Sunstrider walked out of the portal with a smile. Today, the Sun King was wearing a fire-red robe (Robe of the Sunfire) identical to Aier's, arriving late next to the young man.

"You brat, tell me earlier next time. Do you know how busy your grandpa is?"

Belo'vir stormed out of the portal and poked Aier's forehead unhappily, complaining.

Aier stood still, not daring to move, and could only helplessly endure his grandfather's 'love'.

"Long time no see, Aier."

The third person to walk out of the portal was an elderly elf with a kind face and white hair.

"Long time no see, Dean Fendelore."

Aier rubbed his red forehead and greeted the old man with a wry smile.

At this moment, a beautiful figure walked gracefully out of the portal. It was an unparalleled woman with a light blue facial tattoo across her eyebrows and eyes. This facial tattoo did not detract from her beauty, but added a touch of mysterious beauty.

Aurelia Windrunner, draped in a light green ranger cloak and holding a uniquely shaped longbow, came to Aier and placed a hand on her chest, saying:

"Good day, Councilor Aier."

"Good day, General Aurelia" (Before the First Orc War, Aurelia took over her mother's position as Ranger-General and received the family's legendary longbow, Thas'dorah).

Saldor Moonwing, Kael'thas, and Rommath, whom he hadn't seen in a long time, also walked out of the portal one by one, greeting each other while the young man exchanged pleasantries with the dignitaries.

Just as Aier was about to say something, Shadra at the foot of the altar charged up.

The solid stone steps became as soft as tofu under Shadra's eight sharp leg blades. Her speed was extremely fast, and in just a few seconds, she arrived in front of Aier and his group.

But the young man acted as if he didn't see her existence, continuing to chat and laugh with the big shots beside him.

Serena nervously clutched her robe, wanting to remind him several times but unable to speak. Elan seemed to see her embarrassment, but only shook his head slightly, comforting the nervous girl with his eyes.

Shadra, who had already climbed onto the altar, first let out a sharp screech, accompanied by a spray of yellow, viscous liquid.

"Careful!"

Serena screamed, then unhesitatingly stood in front of Aier. The girl's slender hands tightly gripped a magic wand, and the faint purple arcane magic instantly transformed into deep blue frost magic. In just a breath, a huge ice shield appeared in front of everyone.

Aier glanced at the girl's back in surprise and smiled helplessly.

"Don't be nervous, recruit."

He gently grabbed the girl's shoulder, pulled her into his arms, and then faced the oncoming stinky venom.

Feeling the warm touch on her shoulders and back, Serena shrank back subconsciously, a movement that brought her even closer to the young man's chest.

"H-H-He..."

The peculiar fragrance coming from her nose and the sound of her heart beating behind her made the girl's cheeks flush red.

Aier ignored the girl's struggle, instead putting one arm around her chest and raising the other slightly, chanting a spell.

The icy magic quickly condensed in the air, and an ice giant shield, thicker and wider than the ice shield just now, appeared in front of everyone.

As soon as the giant shield appeared, the stinky venom came crashing down.

"Sizzle..."

The thick yellow liquid splashed everywhere like a celestial maiden scattering flowers, corroding a large area of dense, tiny holes the moment it touched the ice shield.

Aier released Serena in front of his chest and walked towards Shadra with firm steps.

The girl, who had left the young man's embrace, hugged her chest with both hands, squatted on the ground with a flushed face, and muttered something to herself.

"Please leave the battlefield here to me. The Blood God Hakkar is about to arrive here. I hope you can stop him outside the altar. If he comes into contact with this great spider, what we will face will no longer be a weak Loa projection, but a true deity."

Aier held Aluneth horizontally and stood in front of Shadra, saying to the people behind him without turning his head.

The Sun King and his party all nodded solemnly. They had already received Aier's message and instructions and naturally understood what this hunt represented. If they were not careful, the hunter might become the prey.

A faint purple glow lit up, and Aier knew that the Sun King had left with a group of strong men.

"Elan, after His Majesty and the others restrain Hakkar, take this recruit and drive away as many of the remaining troops of the Dryads and Defilers as possible.

Hakkar will definitely devour enough trolls. This is our chance, and I believe you can seize it. Don't worry, Marshal Saloryan should already be on his way and will soon be waiting for you outside the altar. Also... don't care about the lives of the trolls."

Aier dodged Shadra's attacks nimbly while speaking to the two people behind him.

After the two left, the young man finally breathed a sigh of relief. He pulled away, jumped off the altar.

"Alright, little spider, I know you have less than 30 minutes left. After 30 minutes, this avatar condensed from Loa divine power will disappear. So, I decided..."

While Shadra hadn't caught up, Aier took off his robe and quickly put on a suit of plate armor, saying with a smile:

"To finish you off in 30 minutes!"
