Azeroth Monster Manual
#190 - What is this operation???
Upon seeing Hakkar in the sky, El was first surprised, then delighted.
Just moments ago, after weighing the pros and cons, he had decided to abandon Shadra's avatar.
The battle between the person and the spider had lasted nearly twenty minutes. Twenty minutes seemed short, but for two legendary powerhouses, it was enough to determine the direction of a high-end battle.
In those twenty minutes, Shadra had repaired fatal wounds more than ten times and used Etherealization no less than five times. This allowed El to clearly feel that the Loa power, which was originally abundant within Shadra's body, was almost completely exhausted.
Although this avatar of hers was not bad, it was still somewhat unsatisfactory compared to the price he would have to pay. This was also a crucial factor in his decision to abandon Shadra.
"I can win, but there's no need to."
This was El's true thought at the moment. Even with his great strength, he wasn't confident he could subdue a legendary Loa avatar within ten minutes. Note, it was subdue, not kill.
Killing Shadra would gain him nothing. If so, why use his trump card?
But coincidentally, just as El was about to give up, Hakkar arrived, giving him a bold idea.
A burst of faint purple light flashed, and the Sun King and his party appeared beside El.
All the powerhouses nervously watched Shadra, who was about to retreat into the shadows not far away, and Hakkar, who was gradually approaching in the sky.
Although they didn't know what El's ultimate plan was, they knew they had messed up. Before setting off, El had instructed them to hold Hakkar back and rejoin them after he had dealt with Shadra, then work together to capture Hakkar.
But they hadn't played their due role, instead letting Hakkar escape, making the situation more complicated.
"I'm sorry, El. I failed to keep up with Your Majesty's pace and lost basic judgment."
Belo'vir said with a pale face.
"Speaker, now is not the time to discuss these things. Although the battlefield has shifted, I think we have a great advantage. Being careful should be no problem."
Saldor smoothed things over from the side.
The Sun King didn't speak, but instead looked at El, waiting for the boy's answer.
"How about we kill this big spider first? I can feel her weakness."
Aurelia said from the side. As a legendary ranger, she could keenly sense what existed in the shadows. Combining what she had just seen, she accurately judged Shadra's current state.
At this moment, El, who hadn't spoken all along, finally opened his mouth. He first looked around at his companions, then took a deep breath and said with a solemn expression:
"What I'm about to say may sound crazy, but please trust my decision."
The others looked at the boy in surprise. Saldor and Aurelia wanted to say something, but they held back. The Sun King hadn't spoken, so they naturally couldn't act on their own.
"Please do not interfere with anything that happens next."
After hearing the boy's words, the others became even more puzzled, not knowing what he wanted to say.
"You brat! Can't you be clearer?"
Belo'vir punched El on the head and said angrily.
"Hiss…"
El rubbed his head with a wry smile. Looking at his grandfather's disheveled appearance, he could only helplessly whisper in everyone's ears:
"Like this, like this, then like this, like this, and finally like this, understand?"
Everyone: … …
"Too dangerous…"
Belo'vir wanted to say something, but Anastarian waved his hand to interrupt.
"I trust your judgment. Let's do it this way. Everyone, please take your positions in advance. What awaits us next will be a fierce battle!"
After the Sun King said this, he flickered and left. Fendral also left. The meaning of the High Priest's existence was to ensure the Sun King's safety and health.
Don't underestimate High Priests. Sometimes, a High Priest can do even more than other professions of the same rank combined.
… …
Hakkar flapped his tattered wings and flew rapidly towards the Altar of Zul.
The Wind Serpent Loa was so anxious because He understood that with the power of this avatar, it was impossible to defeat those annoying maggots. His only way out was to catch Shadra's avatar and devour it before those mortals did.
"Hex, that idiot. Such powerful mortals, there are actually four of them. She didn't convey these crucial messages in advance. After my true form descends, perhaps I need to replace her with a smarter high priest."
Hakkar's eyes flashed with cunning light. The appearance of the Sun King and his party was like a bucket of cold water poured on His head, sobering up the Wind Serpent Loa's greedy and fiery heart.
"Whirr…"
Hakkar made a nimble dive and landed in front of the dilapidated altar. The huge wings stirred up more than a dozen strong air currents. The air currents roared past, scraping up the ruins and debris and blowing them away.
"Hiss hiss…"
The Wind Serpent flicked its forked tongue, its venomous triangular eyes scanning everything around it. He was searching, looking for the figure that haunted His dreams.
Hakkar had many and varied divine duties, which was a common problem among the Loa gods. They knew a little of everything, but were not proficient in anything.
Hakkar's divine duties included wind, blood, curses, and so on. Only in shadows was he not proficient. Although he could sense Shadra's approximate location, it was not so easy to find the Poison Spider Queen hiding in the shadows in a short time.
Time passed by, and the altar had long been reduced to powder under El's magical bombardment, but Hakkar clearly had no intention of letting go of this ruin.
Under the violent hurricane released by the Wind Serpent Loa, the originally messy ruins and debris all disappeared, leaving only a bare base in place.

As more and more debris was blown into the sky, the entire Altar of Zul gradually became 'cleaner', which also meant that the shadows where Shadra could hide were gradually shrinking.
At this time, El was standing in the air. After drinking several bottles of Lesser Invisibility Potion, he had successfully shielded himself from Hakkar's sight. Not only El, but the others were also hiding in different locations, waiting for the opportunity to strike.
Taking out his pocket watch and looking at the time, El couldn't help but feel a little anxious.
"Less than five minutes left. Hakkar, you idiot, how can't you eat the food that's fed to your mouth?"
El had been waiting. He wasn't waiting for Shadra to escape, but waiting for Hakkar to devour Shadra!
This bold plan was too crazy. You had to know that although Hakkar's current strength was far higher than Shadra's, he understood that with the power of everyone combined, it would be easy to catch this avatar of the Blood God.
But now he was actually going to hand Shadra over to Hakkar!
"Even if Shadra's avatar is obtained, the Loa power and research value within it will not be too high, but if Shadra is sacrificed to Hakkar, then Hakkar's physical form in the present world will be greatly strengthened, and this projection will become more solid and powerful."
El calculated his side's chances of winning, secretly planning the upcoming battle.
He was determined to get Hakkar's avatar.
"Even if I have to use that move."
The boy clenched his palm, his heart filled with determination.
It seemed that he was ready, ready to pay a great price.
Just as everyone was dodging Hakkar's wanton large-scale attacks, nervously watching the situation in the field, a variable finally appeared.
The Wind Serpent Loa seemed to have discovered something. He waved his huge wings, stirring up a violent hurricane.
"Damn it! Damn it! There are less than three minutes left, why, why!?"
Shadra appeared from the shadows in a disheveled state, her eight single eyes flashing with venomous light.
Frustration, regret, resentment, and fear. It was hard to imagine that a spindle spider could show such human-like expressions.
"Found you! Shadra! Become one with me, merge into one!"
Hakkar let out a chilling hiss and swooped down towards Shadra's direction.
"Never! Don't even think about getting my body!"
Shadra also let out a sharp roar. Her eight leg blades turned into afterimages, and she frantically fled towards the outer edge of the altar at a rapid speed.
"Oh, that damn line."
El covered his eyes. If you only listened to the lines, the conversation between the two animal gods was really suggestive.
Shadra's figure, which was running outwards rapidly, suddenly stopped, making it difficult to move forward.
It wasn't that she didn't want to continue running, but the huge suction force coming from behind her made her unable to move. She wanted to use Etherealization again, but found that the Loa power in her body was no longer enough for her to briefly return to the Emerald Dream.
"Stop struggling, Shadra, your body is mine."
