Azeroth Monster Manual
#191 - Ice and Fire Duet
Zul'Gurub Altar Ruins.
A massive shadow enveloped the avatar of Shadra, and after a series of teeth-grinding creaks and roars, everything returned to silence.
Everyone watched Hakkar 'feeding' with solemn expressions. They knew that the upcoming battle might be the most difficult one they would ever encounter.
Feeling Shadra's aura growing weaker and weaker, Ayr couldn't help but clench his fists. In the brief seconds of deduction just now, he had received terrible news: if they didn't use his trump card in this battle, their chances of winning would be extremely low.
"Let's do it!"
The moment Shadra's aura completely disappeared, Ayr let out a roar.
"Attack!"
Anasterian shouted, revealing himself first.
Blazing fire illuminated the dark night sky, and countless 'snow-white' spheres surrounded the Sun King. At some point, Flamestrike was already in his grasp.
With a gentle wave of the legendary blade, hundreds of spheres hovering around him shot towards Hakkar like a string of firecrackers.
Saldor and Vereesa reacted quickly. As the Sun King's spell took shape, two magical arrows containing arcane energy followed closely behind. The powerful kinetic energy of the magic arrows tore through the air, creating a sharp whistling sound.
Baelovar, Kael'thas, and Rommath stood at the rear, all raising the Great Magisters' Staff, chanting incantations, brewing some unknown magic.
Ayr gripped Aluneth tightly in one hand, various colors of light flashing on the youth's body, a dozen buffing spells already in effect. The upper half of the youth's body transformed into a fiery form as he breathed.
[Semi-Elementalization - Fire Form] activated!
Like Anasterian, Ayr unhesitatingly chose fire magic with extremely high damage. Semi-elementalization could more efficiently convert arcane energy into fire elements and greatly increase the damage caused by fire spells.
A lengthy and profound incantation slowly emerged. This was Ayr's first time casting a spell in a semi-elementalized state, so he was inevitably a little rusty.
Just as Ayr was chanting the spell, the others' attacks arrived.
"Boom..."
"Boom..."
"Boom..."
Hundreds of incandescent white orbs exploded in Hakkar's phantom form. For a time, deafening explosions resounded one after another, and a thick mushroom-like cloud of smoke rose.
The next two magic arrows seemed less imposing, but Anasterian understood that these two arrows were infused with all the power of the two legendary rangers. As long as they hit Hakkar, even if His strength had greatly increased, He would suffer no small injury.
Just as everyone was focused on Hakkar's situation, Ayr's prepared spell was finally completed.
The dim night sky suddenly brightened, and everyone looked up, surprised, at the sky.
A meteor larger than a millstone streaked across the night sky, plummeting towards Hakkar.
"A seventh-circle forbidden spell..."
The Sun King watched the rapidly falling meteorite in the sky, greatly shocked. This seventh-circle forbidden spell was the signature skill of the previous Sun King.
But for some reason, Anasterian had not included his father's forbidden spell in his own seventh-circle spell slots, but instead chose the Phoenix Flames, which had stronger single-target destructive power.
"Boom..."
The millstone-sized orange-red meteor crashed down, burning with blazing fire. Just as everyone thought this round of attacks was about to end, the sky lit up again.
"Boom boom boom..."
A dozen or so meteorites, each larger than the previous one, lined up in a row, crashing down one after another at a speed difficult to see with the naked eye. Everyone only had time to see the flaming wings behind the meteorites before a dense rumble sounded.
"Not a Flame Meteor, but a Meteor Shower..."
Anasterian unconsciously gripped Flamestrike, muttering to himself.
Looking at Ayr again, the youth was now breathing heavily, the flame-condensed upper half of his body had long since returned to its original state. In just those short ten seconds, his stamina had actually been depleted by more than half.
"I didn't expect semi-elementalization to be so stamina-consuming."
After taking a deep breath, Ayr did not join his companions, but instead took out a bottle of shimmering, pale yellow potion and drank it without hesitation.
[Superior Toughness Potion]: Restores stamina once every 5 seconds for 30 minutes (small amount)
Arcane magic frantically transformed into ice elements. The youth's newly restored upper body became transparent at a speed visible to the naked eye, and then gradually took shape under the condensation of ice magic.
[Semi-Elementalization - Ice Form]
"Hoo..."
Exhaling a cold breath carrying ice crystals, the youth began to chant the spell.
...
"Your Majesty, we..."
Saldor, Vereesa, and Vandellor had arrived behind Anasterian at some point.

The Sun King did not answer their questions, but instead glanced obscurely at the periphery of the ruins, then looked up and silently stared at the black dot in the sky.
Time passed by, and everyone stared intently at the altar ruins shrouded in smoke, wondering if the joint attack just now had caused any damage to Hakkar.
"What... is that?"
The dim sky was illuminated once again, but unlike before, this time the sky had actually turned a bright blue.
"This is?"
Anasterian looked up at the sky in disbelief. What he didn't know was that everything that would happen next would be unforgettable for the rest of his life.
After a buzzing sound...
Ice-forged meteors poured down from the sky like a torrential rain, ten, a hundred, a thousand...
Compared to the Flame Meteor Shower just now, this ice storm woven by comets was like a work of art, beautiful beyond compare.
It was unknown how long this visual feast lasted, but the azure blue in the sky lingered, and even the ground beneath everyone's feet was dyed the same color as the sky.
The Hinterlands in January were already exceptionally cold, and after this comet bombardment, the temperature in the ruins became even more frigid, and the ice elements in the air had reached their peak.
Feeling this bone-chilling cold, Saldor Brightwing couldn't help but shiver, exhaling a breath of hot air.
This exhale was critical, as the hot air instantly turned into a wisp of smoke, then condensed into frost and fell to the ground.
Anasterian looked solemnly at Ayr, who was slowly descending from the sky, and then cast Flame Shield on the others one by one.
-
30°? Or -50°? He didn't know, but he knew that in this frigid weather, the combat power of the two legendary rangers would be greatly reduced.
The youth landed laboriously from mid-air, panting, and came to the Sun King's group.
The ice form just now had almost drained all of his stamina. If it weren't for the Toughness Potion continuing to work, he might have been the first Archmage in history to die of exhaustion.
He first glanced at the periphery of the altar ruins, and only after faintly sensing the magical fluctuations of Baelovar and the other two did he breathe a sigh of relief.
"How many seventh-circle forbidden spells... can you engrave?"
Anasterian looked at the youth's disheveled appearance and asked hesitantly.
"Who knows?"
The youth shrugged indifferently and walked towards the smoke-filled altar.
He wanted to see how much damage their combined efforts of four legends could do to Hakkar.
