Azeroth Monster Manual

#192 - Complete form?

Eyr cautiously retrieved the Shattered Bulwark and Phoenix Glaive from his dimensional backpack, walking ahead of the group.

A gust of cold wind blew, and the dense fog gradually dissipated.

Eyr stopped, waving the weapons in his hands, signaling everyone to halt and remain on guard.

"What... what is that monster!?"

"Holy Light above, I sense an evil presence!"

Aurelia and Fendrel trembled as they spoke.

It was no wonder the two were so agitated; even the experienced Eyr and Anasterian were taken aback by the sight before them.

An oval object stood amidst the ruins. This unknown object, with its crimson exterior, pulsed like some creature's egg sac.

The scarlet egg sac was covered in dense, vein-like networks, and the group could clearly see a pitch-black liquid flowing within these 'veins'.

A layer of bright red protective membrane covered the red egg sac, but this membrane was tattered and on the verge of collapse.

"Not good, quickly attack that giant egg! That's Hakkar's true form!"

The moment Eyr saw the red egg sac, he had a very bad premonition. It seemed that the powerful attacks and explosive magic the group had unleashed earlier had all been absorbed by the protective membrane around the egg sac.

Eyr rushed towards the red giant egg as if flying. Anasterian and the others also spread out, gathering their strength, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to the egg.

"Wait! Something's not right!"

The charging youth suddenly stopped in his tracks. Although the others behind him were confused, they halted their actions.

"What's wrong, Eyr...?"

The Sun King's words were cut off by the youth's shout.

"Fall back! Retreat now! It's going to..."

The youth's voice had barely faded when a massive roar followed. Before the others could react to what was happening, they were pulled towards the giant egg by a powerful suction force.

"Aurelia, Seldor, quickly grab my hand!"

Anasterian's veins bulged, and his face turned crimson. He felt extremely unwell; the blood throughout his body seemed to be boiling, eager to break through his skin and fly towards the giant egg.

Aurelia and Seldor fared even worse. Although they were legendary rangers, they had no power to resist such a cataclysmic event.

Aurelia's condition was slightly better, but Seldor, being the weakest, was already bleeding from all seven orifices, his pupils rolling back as he fainted in mid-air.

"Damn it!"

Anasterian used Blink to appear in front of Seldor, grabbing his collar. Then, he used Blink again to reach Aurelia, grabbing her collar as well.

Mysterious incantations flowed from his lips, and the faint purple arcane energy wavered in the face of the powerful suction, but fortunately, the Sun King's control had reached its peak. In just a breath, he calmed the rampaging arcane magic.

With a flash of purple light, the three finally escaped the powerful suction and reached the outermost edge of the altar.

Aurelia gasped for breath, sitting on the ground without any regard for her image.

The powerful suction just now had thrown her into chaos. Hakkar's terror was finally revealed, making the proud ranger-general feel her own insignificance and helplessness.

Anasterian first checked on Seldor's condition, and after finding that he was unharmed, he remembered that Eyr seemed to still be inside.

He wanted to go in to save him, but after recalling what the youth had just said to him, he decided to respect his decision.

"It's alright. If it's him, he'll definitely be fine..."

Forcing himself to calm down, he knew that even if he rushed in now, it would be of no use.

"How do you feel? Aurelia, can you stand up?"

After checking on Seldor's condition, the Sun King went to the ranger-general and asked with concern.

"I'm fine, Your Majesty, just a little exhausted. That suction... just now, I felt the blood in my body about to boil, and my body was almost beyond my control."

Aurelia staggered to her feet, saying with lingering fear.

......

Inside the ruins, the scarlet egg sac was still pulsating. Compared to before, the black veins on the giant egg had clearly expanded, and the black liquid within flowed even faster.

The broken bricks and tiles throughout the ruins had disappeared, no one knew where they had gone.

Eyr gradually woke up from the daze brought on by the shockwave. First, he felt his own condition, and after finding that he was fine, he began to survey the surrounding environment.

Just now, the scarlet egg sac emitted a powerful suction. Eyr originally wanted to leave, but the constantly pulsating giant egg aroused his desire for exploration and longing.

After weighing the pros and cons, he decided to temporarily give up resisting.

[Trinity Shield], [Protective Magic Barrier], [Mind Protection], [Physical Defense Barrier]... These miscellaneous protective spells were cast on his body layer upon layer as if they were free. He even blocked the Shattered Bulwark in front of him, while he curled up into a ball, hiding behind the giant shield.

......

Touching the 'wall' behind him that seemed to be breathing, Eyr keenly realized that something was wrong here.

Looking at the broken bricks and tiles on the ground and the troll corpses that had been drained of blood, as well as the countless black blood vessels connected to the 'wall', Eyr finally understood what this place was.

"This is... inside that giant egg?"

The youth was first surprised, then delighted, looking at the absurd and bizarre scene around him. Not only did he not panic, but he became excited.

He suddenly remembered an anime he had watched in his previous life, which made him have a bold idea.

"Heh heh, should I say you're stupid? Or stupid?"

The youth let out a mocking laugh, walking towards the center of the giant egg.

Along the way, Eyr activated Hyperthymesia, constantly thinking in his mind.

From Hex summoning Hakkar to the group planning an ambush, he replayed everything, finally reconstructing the complete context of the event.

"Kima once said that Hakkar and Hex were in a cooperative relationship. The reason for plundering the populations of the Bloodscalp and Woodpaw tribes was to summon Hakkar's true form. If Hex had been given a few more years, that poisonous woman might have really been able to summon Hakkar's true form, but now this plan has obviously failed..."

The youth stroked his smooth chin, his brain spinning wildly.

"From the time I controlled Hex, it's only been half a month. In these half a month, Hakkar hasn't actively contacted Hex, so naturally, he hasn't been able to see through my plan.

This indirectly proves that that stupid wind serpent didn't notice the abnormality of the Zandalar tribe. So, Hakkar mistakenly thought that this avatar of Shadra was a sacrifice that Hex offered to him, so he didn't think too much about it and plunged right in?"

Thinking of this, Eyr couldn't help but smile.

'If nothing else, the complete form you're expecting will never be achieved in this lifetime, because the energy in Shadra's body has already been completely consumed in the battle with me.'

At this moment, the scales of victory had already tilted.

PS: Thanks to Amber River Zhang for the ten thousand reward, boss is generous.

Secondly, I want to talk about this battle against Hakkar. Some old masters say that Hakkar is not that strong, but in fact, checking the information can clearly reveal that Hakkar's complete form is very strong.

Hakkar = Demigod, and basically, the hero characters in Warcraft are beaten by Demigods. Of course, characters like Egg and Fool who have been strengthened don't count.

Here's an inappropriate equation (characters that have appeared in the text).

Sargeras (Avatar) > Aegwynn (Demigod) > Hakkar (True Form) (Demigod) > Hethiss, Shadra (True Form) (Note: not Avatar) > Eyr > Anasterian > Antonidas > Kael'thas > Belovar ≥ Sylvanas > Rommath ≥ Aurelia > Seldor

Simply put, the gap brought by level cannot be surpassed. Of course, it's another matter if you cheat.
