Azeroth Monster Manual

#198 - Killing Heart 2.0

Amidst the crowd's gasps of astonishment, Aier once again displayed his miraculous 'knife skills,' completely dismembering Hakkar's corpse and neatly packing it into a dozen or so spatial backpacks.

Because of Aurelia and Sardo's ranger status, Aier naturally benefited from their association.

Just now, under Sardo's pained expression and Aurelia's slightly furrowed brow, Aier snatched away the dozen or so spatial packs containing tens of thousands of arrows from the two, dumping out the arrows.

Looking at the mountain of arrows, the two could only stare at each other, tears welling up.

Anasterian, on the other hand, clutched a small cloth bag, forcing a wry smile. Aier might be the only person in all of Quel'Thalas who could make a king carry a small cloth bag so unceremoniously.

Belovar carried two large cloth bags with a dark expression. If he weren't wearing a presentable mage robe, people might believe he was a wandering adventurer.

Hanging over a dozen fully loaded spatial backpacks on his body like a nouveau riche, Aier turned his head with a grin and continued, saying:

"I have a project proposal here; would you like to hear it?"

"You brat, speak plainly!"

Belovar angrily smacked his grandson's head, the force so great it made a crisp sound.

Aier: There's definitely some personal animosity involved…

"It's a plan, an outline. How about this, I have a project proposal here, uh, a plan, you can take a look."

One hand covering his red forehead, the other rummaged through the spatial backpack. Soon, he took out two copies of the project proposal, handing them to Belovar and Anasterian.

"Sorry, there are only two copies. You'll have to make do. Feel free to ask me any questions."

Snatching the proposal from the youth's hand with a snort of disdain, Belovar began to read softly amidst the curious gazes of Aurelia and Sardo.

"The Breeding and Care of Sows…"

"Ah, sorry, sorry, I grabbed the wrong one. This is the correct one."

Aier scratched his head sheepishly, taking out another project proposal from his backpack and handing it over.

Belovar: … …

"Project Proposal (B) Regarding the Handling of Troll Captives"

"What is this 'B' rune? I've never seen it before?"

Belovar pointed at the letter on the proposal, asking in confusion.

Aier walked to his grandfather's side and patiently explained, while the Sun King listened patiently as well.

"There were originally two plans for handling the troll captives. 'B' can be understood as the second plan."

"Then what about the first plan?"

"The first plan was naturally shelved because the number of captives has exceeded the scope that the first plan could handle. Of course, Plan B has no such problem."

Aier said. Belovar nodded in agreement and continued reading.

1. Establish re-education camps, scattering all captives, dividing them by gender, and evenly distributing them to different residential areas. (Note: To prevent the formation of factions, corresponding countermeasures should be taken.)

2. Establish education groups to conduct no less than two re-education sessions per day, making the captives aware of their own barbarism, ignorance, and crimes.

3. Establish a citizenship system, divided into three classes. The promotion and responsibilities of citizens are as follows, with the rankings from lowest to highest.

Slaves: Trolls who have participated in atrocities such as killing and cannibalism are classified as slaves. These slaves have sentences of 50 years or more. After serving their sentences, they are automatically assigned as Third-Class Citizens. After evaluation, slaves will be put to work in the construction of the Hinterlands or put into arenas (Aier's Light) for performances. Slaves have no human rights, only minimal living security, but if a slave has made significant meritorious contributions, they will be promoted to Third-Class Citizen after evaluation.

Third-Class Citizens: Captives who have not participated in killing but have a history of cannibalism are classified as Third-Class Citizens. These citizens can freely move within the re-education camp. If they have made significant meritorious contributions, or have repeatedly performed meritorious deeds, they will be promoted to Second-Class Citizens. Note: Citizens must work to earn remuneration. Those who do not work shall not eat.

Second-Class Citizens: Benevolent captives who have not participated in killing and have no history of cannibalism are classified as Second-Class Citizens. Second-Class Citizens are naturally nobler than Third-Class Citizens but have no real power. They can receive better social welfare, such as medical care and education. Note: Citizens must work to earn remuneration. Those who do not work shall not eat.

First-Class Citizens: Trolls who have repeatedly made significant meritorious contributions. (Note: Slaves to Second-Class Citizens can all be promoted to First-Class Citizens through their own efforts.) First-Class Citizens have the same status as ordinary commoners of elves, dwarves, humans, and gnomes. They can participate in all commoner activities and can freely enter and exit the Hinterlands.

After reading the project proposal in his hand, there was a moment of silence in the field. Several legendary high-ranking officials all looked at Aier unconsciously.

"What a way to kill and subdue the heart…"

Anasterian's long sigh attracted everyone's attention.

The Sun King's eyes contained deep apprehension, but then, as if he had thought of something, it turned into a touch of relief. He smiled slightly and pointed to a clause in the project proposal and asked.

"Building re-education camps is a good starting point, but the number of troll captives has exceeded 200,000. Even with the dwarven allied forces, we only have 50,000 troops."

"This also means that one allied soldier needs to watch over four captives. This is a conservative estimate, because the dwarves may not participate in the plan to build re-education camps."

"And our four regiments of mage corps and ranger corps cannot be stationed in the Hinterlands all year round. So, I want to know how you plan to solve these problems?"

Hearing the Sun King's question, Aier thought for a moment and said:

"I wonder if Your Majesty knows about Uldum?"

"Oh? Is that the fantasy novel written by Metri? I didn't expect you to even read such books?"

Anasterian asked with a smile that was not quite a smile.

Aier did not explain but continued:

"In Uldum, there are Titan creations. Their origins are too complex and ancient, so let's not talk about them for now. What I want to talk about is their unique construction technology."

The youth used the earth power in his body to capture the sand on the ground out of thin air, and soon wove a strange architectural model in the air.

"This is the Sun Obelisk, and I prefer to call it a pyramid. The reason I'm talking about pyramids is because the troll's clan structure has something in common with this pyramid."

Anasterian listened with fascination. He had never heard of it, let alone seen such a novel architecture and race. From the youth's conversation, he keenly realized that the absurd and humorous fantasy novel seemed to be true? This also aroused his great interest.

"The troll's clan is like this pyramid."

Aier pointed to the top of the pyramid and said, word by word:

"The tip of this tower represents the troll's highest level, the High Priest. Because almost all trolls believe in the Loa gods, the High Priest's position in the clan is also supreme and unique."
