Getting over his shock he made his way over to the table and placed the ordered dishes and wine on top of it. After making sure everything is alright he made his way back, his eyes glancing back from time to time.

The dishes consisted mostly of seafood. There was a big variety and one thing the dishes had in common, was the mouth-watering aroma they spread. Ryan and Anne had a bit saliva leaking at the corner of their mouth while even though Mai was composed, she was still anticipating it. Both of his female companions looked at him. Ryan took the hint and began eating eagerly and Mai and Anne followed suit.

Meanwhile, the boy looked around the room and let out a sigh. His name was Sebastian, and he and his sister Alex were working in this restaurant for about three years and some days ago both of them had their 14th birthday.

Originally they were orphans and didn't know where they came from. Despite their circumstances they lived their lives happily at the orphanage together with the other children and an old lady, who worked as their caretaker.

It was about four years ago, when they were outside exploring the city when an incident occurred. A world Nobel by the name of Sankt Charlos wandered through the town and came to a stop before the orphanage as he spotted a half-mink girl. He immediately took a liking to her and ordered his men to get her.

The mink are rather secluded, but since their overall numbers are quite big and some went out to see the world, such children would appear from time to time. They weren't really close to that girl, but it still was an event that caused great changes and grievances inside their hearts.

Since children are often quite pure and naive regarding the way the world works they immediately rushed to their sisters help. Even the older ones who had managed to restrain themselves for a moment let loose at once and rushed forth as well. The old lady due to her old bones was late to react and one of the children managed to get close to the noble biting him into his leg.

Normal people would just let it go or don't even make problems for these children in the first place. But world nobles can behave however they want wherever they go. As even the marines are subordinated to them, they take at least a vice-admiral with them whenever they venture out.

Sankt Charlos face turning red lost all rationality, if such word could even be used to describe his state of mind and ordered his guard to kill. The guards not hesitating and the guarding vice-admiral late to react sealed the fate of these children and the old caretaker. With a look of relief Sankt Charlos made his way off the island together with the little half-mink.

Sebastian and Alex just came to know about this later as they returned in the evening. The following year they took odd jobs to pay for food until they got to know uncle Jin, while delivering ingredients to his inn. He took them in and as personnel for the inn. Aside from the work they had to do, he cared for them as if they were his family. With his support they managed become happy again, but they didn't forget what happened that day.

Uncle Jin was always bragging about his former life as pirate before they disbanded. Though he was only the cook without real fighting power, being a cook on a ship full of hungry men could be called an important role. After they disbanded since their captain died of old age, he settled down in Silver City and opened up an inn to support his living. His stories could be said to plant a seed inside the siblings hearts.

That way the three of them lived nearly three years of peaceful life together.

Meanwhile, Ryan, Anne and Mai finished eating. Mai and Anne began talking a bit and asked some general questions about each other. They went on, until they began lamenting how rare it would be to have such meals while out on the sea.

Ryan thought about it himself, with a slight grin he stood up, making his way over to Sebastian. Just as he was walking, another thought made its way into his mind. 'Just a second. Did they manipulate me in getting a cook?! How foxy! Don't think I won't show you who rules the roost when we are back!'

Shortly after he thought of how to punish his unruly crew members and probably future wives he arrived in front of Sebastian.

"Hey boy, what's your name?" Asked Ryan with an amiable smile plastered all over his face.

Sebastian was a bit bewildered, but still answered. "It's Sebastian, Sir"

"So you are Sebastian. That girl over there must be your sister then? You really resemble each other."

"That's right Sir, she is my sister Alex." Sebastian once again answered and was curious why a famous upstart pirate wanted to do small talk with him.

"Have you ever thought about becoming a pirate Sebastian? We just happen to miss some personnel for taking care of the ship. What do you say? Of course your sister and your uncle are welcome as well." Ryan said as he put his hand onto Sebastian's shoulder and looked him into the eyes. Ryan of course heard a thing or two about uncle Jin and the siblings while he was eating earlier. To get the cook he just had to coax the young ones into joining his crew.

Sebastian surprisingly began thinking about it. 'Wouldn't that mean I could journey with him and get stronger? And maybe even learn his secrets in the art of seduction!'

The more he thought about it, the more his eyes began to shine. Though he liked his life here together with his sister, it was a bit boring for a 14-year old hearing all the interesting stories of uncle Jin and the customers.

Sebastian wanted to join and he knew it was a rare chance to get into a formidable crew. Since the incident in the orphanage four years ago he developed a new view on the big forces of the world. Coupled with uncle Jin being a former pirate he had no qualms joining a crew himself. Aside from that he wanted to become stronger. Who wouldn't, when he had to realize, that people are nothing in front of power, be it personal strength or backing. The only thing holding him back were his sister and uncle Jin. After hesitating he began to speak,

"I'd really like to, but.."

Ryan cut him short, "it's your sister right and uncle right? As I said they can come as well. Wasn't your uncle a former pirate himself? And you, aren't you already a man? I will give you two days time to talk with your family and come to a decision. Before we are leaving I will pick you up, if you decide to follow us."

Hearing he got some time to talk to and persuade them his eyes became a bit brighter again. Without hesitation, he nodded, causing Ryan to smile at him.

"I am counting on you." said Ryan as he returned to their table.

Anne and Mai just giggled, having observed their interaction.

Shortly afterwards they left some gold coins on the table and left to tour the city.
