194. Extra Chapter 4 The Pettish Little Candy

Song Shilin should go out for work in the early morning. His honey and two babies are at home, how can he leave them alone? Therefore, the man reduces overtime. The school is on Song Shilin’s way to his company, so he will leave home with Little Watermelon in the daytime and pick the boy up at night.

Little Candy hates to get out of bed, but he is suddenly aware that Bo Yu will go to work today. He is no longer drowsy and jumps to his feet. The boy crawls to the stairs, screaming, “Daddy, daddy!”

Bo Yu is packing his suitcase. Although the play is shot locally, he can’t come home every noon for he might have to work all day or wait for his scene. In those cases, Bo Yu has to follow the staff to a hotel rented by the crew to take a break at noon.

He has prepared ten new garments. With a cracking sound, Bo Yu closes his suitcase. As he passes the master bedroom, he hears Little Candy’s yelling. Astonished, the man abandons his suitcase and rushes over. He finds the little boy hovers uncertainly near the stairs and gapes at the distance between each ladder.

The little fella must be considering how to go downstairs safely.

Little Watermelon was looked after by Bo Yu before 5 years old. The man didn’t pay much attention to his elder son for the boy has grown up and he was pregnant at that time. Naturally, Song Shilin started taking care of Little Watermelon. However, it doesn’t mean that Bo Yu has forgotten a kid’s little habits before two years old.

In effect, Little Watermelon was afraid of going downstairs. The boy was so young that he had an inexplicable dread of heights. Bo Yu did some research online after he noticed that. Noticing that Little Candy is more afraid going downstairs than his brother, Bo Yu remembers the past. A smile lifts a corner of his mouth. He walks over to scoop up the boy. “When will you grow up like a superman?” He speaks while descending the stairs.

Hearing that, Little Candy holds Bo Yu’s neck in shock, “No, no, no. A superman doesn’t have to do this.”

“Oh, you mean a superman only needs to fly and he doesn’t have to climb stairs, right?” Bo Yu immediately figure out the boy’s implication.

Pouting, Little Candy stares at Bo Yu with his watery eyes, “Daddy, let’s have some candy.”

The man dotingly knocks the kid on the head and places the boy on a child seat. He then settles himself on a chair next to Little Candy and has a huge gulp of his breakfast prepared by Yan. Bo Yu finally remembers that the kid hasn’t had anything.

Little Candy gazes at his daddy without blinking. He opens his mouth and drools. It seems that he is hungry.

Yan steps over with a nursing bottle. Noticing that, the housekeeper says, “Mr. Bo, this is for the young master.”

Bo Yu engulfs the meat porridge and feeds Little Candy with milk. After the boy takes some sips, the man asks, “Can you hold the bottle by yourself?”

The child stretches out his chubby hands to hold the bottle, babbling, “Daddy’s bad.”

Bo Yu is amused, “You can’t even utter a whole sentence when I ask you to greet others. Now you can articulate when you have food.”

Little Candy gapes at Bo Yu with his head tilted. Milk stains the corner of his lips for he opened his mouth urgently. “Daddy, what is ‘article’?” Asks the boy.

Bo Yu pulls tissues from a box helplessly, “Ask your father when he comes home.” He refuses to talk about that with a two-year-old child.

Little Candy feels that Bo Yu ignores him, so he engulfs the milk in a huff. It doesn’t take him a long time to become overjoyed.

He loves drinking milk.

Bo Yu is on a diet and often hits the gym to stay in good shape since he is about to start shooting. The role pines away and becomes pale because of his miserable love life and experience. Therefore, the actor has to lose several pounds in a short time.

An outstanding dresser and makeup artist can create a gaunt and pallid image, but building a character who is battered and beaten down by hardship needs the actor’s efforts.

Hence, Bo Yu is determined to be on a diet. The man contacted his agent last night, asking him to call the coach whom Bo Yu had cooperated with. The dedicated actor considers to do some workouts from tonight.

It’s unhealthy to eat like a bird. Bo Yu almost fainted because of an unwholesome diet when he just made his debut. Therefore, he will require a nutritionist to make a scientific plan for him when he should play a bony role. Meanwhile, the man will hit the gym.

Bo Yu is convinced that he will become slimmer soon.

Little Candy crawls around the living room on the carpet after he has breakfast and drinks milk. He struggles to stand up but fails. With the help of Yan, the toddler finally rises to his feet. Bo Yu’s new assistant walks downstairs with Bo Yu’s suitcase from the second floor. The boy immediately sees his daddy in new garments descend.

A cracking sound explodes in Little Candy’s head.

He hears the alarm bell.

‘Something will happen!’

As Bo Yu enters the living room, Little Candy lunges at him. Astonished, the man bends over to hold his son in arms, “What’s wrong? I should go for work. Stay at home with Uncle Yan, okay?”

Suddenly, Bo Yu is aware of something, “Your grandma will be here later. Remember not to ask for candy. If I know that, I will kick your ass.”

Although Little Candy’s name indicates that the boy is obsessed with sweet food, the child prefers Bo Yu.

Staring at Bo Yu with watery eyes, the kid nibbles his fingers. He weeps and pleads, “Daddy, I’ll go with you. I’ll go with you.”

Seeing that, the man feels heartbroken. However, he doesn’t know how to refuse the little fellow. ‘I’m going to work, not to have fun. If I take him with me, I will definitely be distracted.’ Considering that, Bo Yu says harshly, “Don’t you listen to me?”

Little Candy nods obediently, “Good boy. Listen to you.”

That means he is a good boy and will listen to Bo Yu.

The man looks straight into Little Candy’s eyes, “I should leave now. Stay at home and behave yourself. I’ll have lunch with you, okay?”

The child relies on Bo Yu. Besides, he seldom leaves Bo Yu after he was born. The man understands that it’s cruel for a two-year-old boy to leave his daddy during the daytime in the following 90 days.

However, Bo Yu has no choice.

‘You can’t have your cake and eat it. If I have to choose one, I will insist on shooting.’

‘I don’t want my sons to have a daddy who sits on his ass all day after they grow up.’

‘I have my work to do.’

Besides, Bo Yu haven’t achieved his dream yet. He won’t leave the industry.

His new assistant whispers with the suitcase in hand, “Mr. Bo, I’ll wait for you outside.”

Bo Yu nods.

The assistant hurries out without turning back.

Bo Yu continues to convince Little Candy who is in a daze. The boy is reluctant to let go of Bo Yu.

The man is helpless.
